Description
Our holiday home is located in the holiday park De Krim in De Cocksdorp on Texel.
The house is situated on a sunny garden plot with 2 terraces. There are 2 car parking spaces.
Our house is suitable for a maximum of 6 people, ideal for 4 people.
Ground floor:
Living/dining room, new fully equipped kitchen (2023) with oven/microwave combi oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment.
Spacious bedroom with double bed.
Bathroom with bathtub, shower and new washbasin.
Guest WC.
Upper floor:
2 bedrooms with 2 beds each, 1 cot.
Bathroom with shower, new washbasin and WC.
separate utility room:
Washing machine, tumble dryer.
Surroundings:
The holiday home is located in the recreational park De Krim; this offers a swimming pool with indoor and outdoor areas and various slides (free of charge for our guests), climbing park, small supermarket, restaurants etc.
In the immediate vicinity of the park is a golf course (18-hole and 9-hole). The 9-hole course can be played without a licence; guests of the park receive a 30% reduction on the green fee for the 18-hole course.
The golf course can be reached by bike in 10 minutes from our holiday home.
The North Sea beach can be reached by bike in about 10 minutes. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from our holiday home to the extensive dune area (nature reserve) or the forest area "Krimbos".
We have been spending part of our holidays on Texel in De Krim Park for about 20 years. At any time of the year, the island is fascinating and offers many recreational possibilities:
e.g. cycling tours on well-maintained and signposted cycle paths, in spring past blooming fields of tulips and daffodils,
hour-long walks along the kilometre-long and often deserted beach,
Seal tours, mudflat walks, surfing, kite surfing, golfing, bird watching...
The island gastronomy offers extensive possibilities, from home-made ice cream on farms, fresh fish in the harbour of Oudeschild, diverse beach gastronomy as well as top gastronomy.

Delightful holiday spot
Uwe and Sabine's house is a very nice house; the location in the beautiful park, close to the beach, it is detached. The garden with seating areas and the parking space in front of the door are also pleasant. Inside, there is everything you need; the only thing that took some getting used to was the lamp in the bedroom at the front, as you can bump your head on it since it hangs in the wrong place, but it’s a light lamp, so no pain in your head :-) If you have difficulty walking, the sleeping/bathroom on the ground floor is a plus (otherwise, you have to go up a spiral staircase). We were without children, but it seems to be manageable with kids too, especially in the holiday park where there is a lot to do. I will definitely keep this house in mind to book it next time as well.

The holiday home was acquired by us at the beginning of 2020 and has since been modernised further by us with much love and great effort (new kitchen, flooring, bathroom furniture, garden furniture). We speak and write in German, English and Dutch.
