Het voelde als thuis komen.

Het voelde echt als thuiskomen! Jaren lang in de polder gewoond, en dit plekje bracht dit fijne gevoel helemaal terug.
We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Sandra onze gastvrouw.
Het huis is mooi, ruim en gezellig landelijke ingericht. En een mooie ruime tuin met voldoende zit mogelijkheden.
Voor de radiozendamateur hobby is het hier verrassend stil op de kortegolfbanden, zeer weinig storing.
Verder hebben wij heerlijk kunnen vissen. Helaas niet een grote karper kunnen vangen. Pas op de laatste dag kregen wij de tip waar deze zich schuil hielden.
Echt een aanrader.

Simply beautiful…

For all those seeking peace and relaxation in a beautiful setting with plenty of nature. A house with history, to which the extremely lovely hostess has had a familial connection since childhood. A paradise for anglers, who can pursue their passion at the property's own dock. Likewise, dog owners will appreciate the forest directly adjacent to the property with extensive walking opportunities. Dogs are always welcome with the extremely animal-loving hostess. A very wonderful place

Thanks to Sandra for a warming welcome, a lot of nice and kind details (like dog treats) and a charming interior design. The garden is wonderful, laying in the sun, a little windy but not too much, pretty flowers and plants. you will find everything that you need in the house. You can leave the windows open during the night, it's super quiet and there's are insect screens all over. We were with 6 persons and it was enough space for all. Absolute recommendation, a quiet, lovely place. Thank you!

Beautiful house, which is rented by a very friendly host. The location is fantastic. In the middle of nature and yet a good starting point for many excursions. There is also the possibility of fishing, as the house is located directly by a river.

Great vacation

Sandra, with her formerly owner-occupied house, which she now also offers for rent, was a great host. She is super sweet, friendly, and helpful. The kitchen, the living and dining room, and the garden closed off for dogs were really great and very cozy. The view from the living area, to the water, into the greenery, and with sunshine was breathtaking. The adjacent horse paddock and the small private forest were wonderful and enchanting. Certainly, not everything in the house is 100%, but the hostess, her animals, and the charm and comfort factor make up for it. The nearest smaller towns are a few kilometers away, but shopping was still great, even on Sundays. For larger towns, you should plan about 20-30 minutes. We will definitely go back. We really liked it. Thank you, Sandra, see you again.

Everything's great

We were very satisfied with our family vacation in Sandra's house. It had everything we needed for a week: enough rooms, bathrooms, dishes, kitchen equipment, towels, bed linens, hot water, a huge living room table, and a beautiful garden. We were thrilled by nature and used the kayaks once. We swam in the Amstelmeer and in the canal that is right next to the house. The small forest is also very pretty. We made some trips to Den Helder, Alkmaar, Zaanse Schans, and Amsterdam – all a maximum of an hour away by car.
Sandra is super nice and helpful; she welcomed us and showed us the house.
We hope that we can come by again!

Great stay!

We are a family of 5 and Sandra's place was great for us! The location is very quiet and rural, so you would need a car to arrive. The house itself has many amenities and it is very warm and cosy. Sandra was very helpful, she never hesitated to give us tips, on what to do on rainy days, for example. If travelling with very young children, be aware that only the main bedroom is on the ground floor - the rest are all upstairs. Would definitely recommend Sandra's beautiful home!

great spot for exploring from Edam to Texel

Four of us (friends) stayed at Sandra's cute little cottage. The living-kitchen area was a great space for us to socialise and eat together. It has everything you need and we ate in most evenings. The patio area was lovely on the warmer days, and Sandra's equine friends are adorable. We even used her kayaks! Very quiet location, and we were able to cycle round Texel and to Edam, as well as explore more locally. Sandra is a great host; so easy to contact before our stay, and she offered us a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. A great place to stay with friends or family.

A wonderful holiday right by the water!

We – Timo, Nils, Julia, Norbert, Caro, and our dog Ferro – had an unforgettable time in this beautiful holiday home in Slootdorp. The house is wonderfully located directly by the Amstelmeer and offers not only a fantastic view but also complete peace and relaxation.

The accommodation was very clean, lovingly furnished, and well-equipped – we lacked nothing. We especially appreciated the spacious terrace where we ate together and simply relaxed. Our dog also felt very comfortable – the house is truly dog-friendly.

In the evening, we enjoyed a glass of wine on our dock and watched the sunset. The two canoes we were allowed to use were a hit.

The surroundings invite for nice walks, bike rides, and outings in nature. Those seeking peace while enjoying a comfortable temporary home are in the right place here. Sandra, We would love to come back – thank you very much for this great stay!

What a paradise!

We had an incredibly nice time in Sandra's paradise! Absolute recommendation, we will definitely come back. The little horses and especially Hansje the pony, which my daughter was able to ride with so much joy and under the loving guidance of Sandra, the lovely house and the beautiful surroundings, everything was great!

Vacation in beautiful nature

It was a very nice time that we were able to enjoy there in the beautiful nature in peace.
We only used the ground floor of the house, as we were two and had our two dogs with us.
By car, we were at the North Sea beach in a good 20 minutes and in 5 minutes on foot at the Amstelmeer.
There are many beautiful things to see in the area, and for someone who enjoys fishing, is connected to nature, and seeks peace, it's an optimal spot. Many thanks to the host Sandra, who was always friendly and helpful.

A great week!

Thank you very much for a wonderful week with Sandra. She is a warm-hearted host and always made time for my daughter, who loves horses above all. She was allowed to help with grooming and even go for a ride with Sandra.
The house is very cozy and we were welcomed with two bouquets of flowers. It has everything you need and much more. A highlight is also the canoes that you can borrow at any time.

Beautiful house in a beautiful surroundings

For us, it was the second time here. Wonderful house in a beautiful environment. The previous time we came with our dog, now without. There is still so much to see in the area that we didn't get to last time with the dog. Our favorites: a day trip to Texel, many lovely beaches (we recommend Petten beach to watch the sunset in the evening), the Marine museum in Den Helder, eating fish at 't Wad in Den Oever, animal park Hoenderdaell.
The house is equipped with everything. The ponies remain a favorite, extra nice that our daughter was allowed to brush Hans. And it's great that there are now chickens; during our stay, we were able to eat a few fresh eggs. We enjoyed another wonderful week, who knows, maybe until next time!

Summer vacation July 2025

We spent 3 weeks in Sandra's house with our grandson and our dog. The reception was warm. The house was decorated with fresh flowers, and there were treats for the dog as well. The beds were freshly made, which we have never experienced before. Our grandson was thrilled. There is a canal in front of the house where he could fish, fish, fish. The highlights were the horses and chickens. It was pure relaxation. We will definitely come back.

Exceptional!

Even if recommending this wonderful house may harm us, we cannot do otherwise.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed more than warmly, a surprise bag was prepared for our dogs, towels, kitchen towels and paper, toilet paper were available, and even the beds were already made, which we have never experienced in a holiday home before.
All descriptions were accurate, Sandra always had an open ear for us. We felt extremely comfortable and will definitely come back. ❤️

The welcome from the owner makes you feel at home right away, what a lovely hostess (and she can sing well too).
From the private dock, my brother caught a beautiful pike of 75 cm.

What a warm welcome by Sandra, you immediately feel so welcome. And a very nice garden, large living room/kitchen.
We enjoyed it very much. The house is clean and it's great that the dogs are so welcome.
It is wonderfully peaceful by the water and you can easily walk into the forest that is next to the house. In short, we will come back again.

What a recommendation!!

A beautiful house in a lovely location.
You do need your own transportation, whether it's a bike or a car, it doesn't matter.
A small forest around the corner. Great for taking the dog out.

The house is well furnished and in the kitchen, you have enough space to prepare a delicious meal. The spacious dining table is not only nice for eating but also for playing games (a few are available). In the garden, there is more than enough opportunity to sit quietly and enjoy the chickens (which lay freshly laid eggs that you can take) and the horses that occasionally stand there. For the children, there is a trampoline, which also provides entertainment. The hammock did as well; it wasn't easy to lie there stably. It created hilarious moments.

In short, highly recommended. We are going again next year, for a week, with our whole family.

Beautiful house and location

What a beautiful house! Light, spacious, and everything you need is present. Delightful garden, plenty of privacy, everything green, with horses that greet you in the morning and chickens for a fresh egg. The children enjoyed the trampoline, being outside, and the rides on the ponies Hans and Lucky. In the evenings, we enjoyed the sunset from the dock, we canoed and spotted many birds, swam in the Amstelmeer. Our two little dogs also enjoyed the walks in the adjacent forest and the freedom to run around happily. My husband caught a lot of fish (and also released them) and was very happy and satisfied. The location is very centrally located for various trips to nice towns and of course the beautiful beaches. Everything is reachable within 20 minutes. In one word: Amazing! We will definitely come back! Sandra, thank you also for the hospitality and the guidance of the children with the ponies, it was unforgettable.

What an amazing place. Thanks to a wonderful and hospitable hostess this is a small paradise with spectacular views, surrounded by beautiful birds. It feels like a home in unspoiled nature. Our dog was thrilled by the forest and our kids loved the quaint bedrooms, horses, chickens and canoes. This is truly a hidden gem.

Great house by the water

We (6 adults, 2 babies, 1 dog) had a great time at Sandra's house. It is very idyllic in the countryside, with many cute animals. Sandra is very friendly and has lots of tips for activities. You can even use the canoe and barbecue and swim in the Amstelmeer. A highlight were the fresh eggs from the chicken coop. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good, but the house is large and nicely furnished, so you can also enjoy spending time indoors. The beach is a 20-minute drive away. We will definitely come back! THANK YOU!

Beautiful and well located holiday home with a great garden

We were there with 4 adults and had a nice time. The landlady welcomed us very nicely and was always approachable. The furnishings are lovingly selected.
1 bedroom is on the ground floor. Access to the other rooms is via a steep staircase. The second toilet is also on the ground floor and is very, very narrow for adults.
We gladly recommend this house.
