Description
The former bridge keeper's house dates from 1932 and is beautifully located right on the water with its own (fishing) jetty.
It has been renovated over the years, but still has an authentic feel.
The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, parking for 3 cars on the private driveway.
There is enough space for 5 to 6 people. The house has everything needed for a carefree and relaxed stay.
From the living room, you can see the most beautiful sunsets and overlook the water.
The house is spacious and light and has a fully enclosed sunny garden with trampoline adjacent to the paddock where the mini ponies Hansel and Gretel and the big Andalusian Ranchero 'spy' on you. Ideal for dogs, if friendly and social.
The entre of the house is through the conservatory, this provides plenty of light in the house. The decor is warm and homely and makes everyone feel right at home.
The kitchen is large and open and is fully equipped, including a dishwasher.
There is a large table where seven people can easily sit.
On the ground floor is a bedroom with a double bed.
There is also a spacious bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower cabin.
There is another toilet in the hallway with the stairs to the first floor.
On the first floor you will find a bathroom with bath, a large bedroom with two single beds that can be pushed together and a smaller bedroom with a box bed for one person.
In the attic there is another bedroom with a box bed 140 cm wide, so it can be used for 2 persons.
All rooms have ample wardrobe space.
From the house, you can walk straight into the (private) woods where you can go for lovely walks. You can also walk for kilometres along the dike of the water with beautiful views, you won't meet anyone.
Nice places nearby: including Texel, the entire coastal strip with its beautiful beaches, the former island of Wieringen, Kolhorn, Huisduinen, Den Helder, Schagen, Alkmaar, Hoorn, Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Amsterdam.

The nature cottage is located on the Amstelmeer and is also on the edge of a nature reserve with a forest. The special thing is that the forest is completely unmanaged; fallen trees are left lying around and this in turn creates its own flora and fauna.
It is rich in many birds, both in the forest and near the water. For instance, a colony of herons has been living here for years, which are already courting each other diligently and with great fanfare by the end of February. It is also a cacophony of many other birds and the cuckoo also calls to its heart's content. Walking along the dike, you will always see a bird of prey, such as a buzzard or a harrier. In summer you can cool off in the Amstelmeer, where there is a large jetty with several swimming steps. You can go fishing in front of the house on its own private jetty. There are also 2 2-person canoes.
For the little ones, a ride through the woods on pony Hansje is a treat! Older children can brush the ponies and walk with them.
The North Sea beach is within 20 minutes' reach where you can get a breath of fresh air all year round and enjoy everything the beach and sea have to offer in summer.

What a wonderful reception and nice house!
What a warm welcome by Sandra, you immediately feel so welcome. And a very nice garden, large living room/kitchen.
We enjoyed it very much. The house is clean and it's great that the dogs are so welcome.
It is wonderfully peaceful by the water and you can easily walk into the forest that is next to the house. In short, we will come back again.

Wat een aanrader!!
Een prachtig huis op een mooie plek.
Je hebt wel eigen vervoer nodig, of dit nu een fiets is of een auto, dat maakt niet uit.
Een klein bos om de hoek. Heerlijk om de hond uit te laten.
Het huis is goed ingericht en in de keuken heb je voldoende ruimte om een heerlijke maaltijd klaar te maken. De ruime eettafel is niet alleen fijn voor het eten, maar ook om spelletjes (een aantal aanwezig) aan te spelen.
In de tuin is meer dan voldoende gelegenheid om rustig te zitten en te genieten van de kippen (die kakelverse eieren leggen, die je mag pakken) en de paarden die er soms staan. Voor de kinderen een trampoline, wat ook voor vermaak zorgt. Dat deed de hangmat ook, het viel niet mee om daar stabiel in te liggen. Het gaf hilarische momenten.
Kortom een aanrader. Wij gaan komend jaar weer, en dan een week en met ons hele gezin.

Fijn verblijf!
We hadden een topweekend! Warm onthaal door eigenaresse. Mooie plek omringd door water en groen. Heerlijk kunnen vissen! Tevens een goed vertrekpunt voor stevige wandelingen en fietstochten.

Prachtig huis en locatie
Wat een prachtig huis! Licht, ruim en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig.
Heerlijke tuin, volop privacy, alles groen, met paardjes die je 's morgens begroeten en kippetjes voor een vers eitje.
De kinderen genoten van de trampoline, het buiten zijn en de ritjes op de pony's Hans en Lucky.
's Avonds genoten op de steiger van de ondergaande zon, we hebben met de kano's gevaren en veel vogels gespot, gezwommen in het Amstelmeer.
Ook onze 2 hondjes genoten van de wandelingen in het aangrenzende bos en de vrijheid om heerlijk los te mogen en kunnen lopen.
Manlief heeft veel vissen gevangen (en ook weer teruggegooid) en was ook zéér blij en tevreden.
De plek is zeer centraal gelegen om allerlei uitstapjes te maken naar leuke stadjes en natuurlijk de prachtige stranden. Alles binnen 20 minuten te bereiken.
In 1 woord: Geweldig !
We komen zeker terug !
Sandra, bedankt ook voor de gastvrijheid en de begeleiding van de kinderen met de pony's, het was onvergetelijk.

What an amazing place. Thanks to a wonderful and hospitable hostess this is a small paradise with spectacular views, surrounded by beautiful birds. It feels like a home in unspoiled nature. Our dog was thrilled by the forest and our kids loved the quaint bedrooms, horses, chickens and canoes. This is truly a hidden gem.

Prachtig vakantiehuis!
Fijn, schoon, licht en ruim huis met een mooie afgesloten tuin. Werkelijk alles is aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Goeie bedden, heerlijk rustig aan het water, bos om in te wandelen, verse eitjes van de kippen, paardjes als buren. Super locatie om allerlei uitstapjes te maken.

Great house by the water
We (6 adults, 2 babies, 1 dog) had a great time at Sandra's house. It is very idyllic in the countryside, with many cute animals. Sandra is very friendly and has lots of tips for activities. You can even use the canoe and barbecue and swim in the Amstelmeer. A highlight were the fresh eggs from the chicken coop. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good, but the house is large and nicely furnished, so you can also enjoy spending time indoors. The beach is a 20-minute drive away. We will definitely come back! THANK YOU!

Beautiful and well located holiday home with a great garden
We were there with 4 adults and had a nice time. The landlady welcomed us very nicely and was always approachable. The furnishings are lovingly selected.
1 bedroom is on the ground floor. Access to the other rooms is via a steep staircase. The second toilet is also on the ground floor and is very, very narrow for adults.
We gladly recommend this house.

Es stimmt, dass 1 Toilette etwas eng ist.
Das Haus wurde 1932 gebaut und damals wurden die Toiletten nicht so geräumig gemacht ...
Wir haben mit einem Auftragnehmer alle Möglichkeiten geprüft, die Toilette zu versetzen, aber leider war das nicht möglich. Deshalb ist das Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss mit einer geräumigen Toilette ausgestattet.

Since childhood, it was my dream to live in this beautiful place. My grandfather lived here for 45 years and operated the bridge to the Amstel Lake here.
