The spacious 7 room vacation home with a living area of 210 m2 is distributed over two floors and can accommodate 8 people. Ground level access to the house with spacious hallway with wardrobe and guest toilet. The spacious living room with great ceiling height and exposed beams gives cozy living feeling. It is equipped with sofa sets and comfortable armchairs, as well as a fireplace and TV. Wlan is available. The large panoramic windows of the house offer a unique view. In the separate office with desk you can do your work in peace or use it as a retreat for reading, because it is equipped with a well-stocked library and a sofa. From the elevated dining area with a large dining table you can reach the outdoor area surrounded by nature, with a covered seating area, barbecue and sunbathing lawn. Here every moment becomes a pleasure and the hours spent together with friends and family an unforgettable experience. The two garden levels are connected by a natural stone staircase. On this floor there is also a double bedroom with direct exit to the garden, as well as a bathroom with shower, bathtub and toilet. The spacious separate kitchen is very well equipped. In the adjoining utility room, which offers plenty of storage space, there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

On the lower floor there are three more bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and toilet and a separate toilet. Practical are the washbasins with mirrors integrated into the built-in wardrobes in the bedrooms. Exit to the spacious garden and swimming pool area. With the existing table tennis table under the covered forecourt you can do some sports. You can park your car directly in front of the house at the entrance. There is space for 2 to 3 cars.

The vacation house is located near the forest at about 600 m above sea level in a quiet and sunny position, away from any road noise. The village center of Brissago is about 4 km away. There you will find several restaurants, shopping facilities, bus stop and boat landing stage. Further shopping possibilities are in Locarno, Ascona or the center Mercato Cattori in Losone, about 20 minutes away by car or in the Italian village Cannobio near the border.

Location and surroundings of object

Brissago ist the most deepest township of Switzerland and is situated on the frontier to Italy. The center is direct on the lake, the hamlet on the steep, natural slopes. The area is affected from the subtropical climate, with mediterranean vegetation and flowers.
Walk into the narrow streets of the small village until the lake and wonder the beautiful gardens, where many citrus fruits and cedar trees grow in the open air or admire the Renaissance church of San Pietro e Paolo surrounded by centuries-old cypress.
Brissago is not only famous for his Tabac and cigars factory, but also for the popular Brissago islands with the botanic garden where, thanks to the mild climate, several exotic plants grows up.
You can reach Brissago by bus from Locarno, in the high season there are also boats who goes until Brissago. The pictioral Ascona and the nearby typical Italian village Cannobio, where you can visit the famous market every Sunday, are just a few kilometer away. You can reach by car also Ticinos Valley like Valle Maggia, Valle Verzasca or Centovalli who are not far away. If you want to go walk or climbing you can scale the Corona dei Pinci, Pizzo Leone or Ghiridone. From there you have a spectacular view over the Lake Maggiore.
Brissago has also many cultural places, like historical monuments, museums, exhibitions and events. For example the annual festival in honor of Leoncavallo.
Socializing can be found in well-maintained restaurants, in the simple Grottos or in Michelin-starred restaurant.

We were in this wonderful house for the third time - doesn't that say it all? At this place, you can really find peace. There are so many opportunities for community and retreat. Everything is truly available. Thank you very much and hopefully see you next time.

Large older house in a dreamlike panoramic location. Quiet, somewhat secluded right by the forest. Kitchen with everything you need. Several more modern bathrooms. Nice pool. Tip: Visit Osteria Borei! Just a 30-minute walk up the road or also possible by car. Very nice and welcoming. (Tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms were a poem!) All in all, we (3 adults with a dog) really enjoyed our vacation.

We had a very nice time. We really liked the house, the location high above the lake, and the silence was fantastic. It is very tastefully furnished and you find everything, really everything, you need. We would love to come back! In the lower rooms, we think it would be sensible to install insect screens. The upper bedroom already has one.

We had a wonderful vacation, my sister and I, with our two dogs at Casa la Civetta Brissago! We can only recommend the house with its dreamlike view, beautiful garden, and pool! Facilities: the kitchen and laundry room are very well equipped, nothing is missing. Two grills on the terrace, loungers available. Unfortunately, the umbrellas were not to be found. The clothesline and the ping-pong table deserve to be replaced. The beds are not very comfortable. Location: House very well located in a quiet area with a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore! Cleanliness: everything was clean, nothing to complain about. Well-being factor: the pool and terraces bring total well-being. Value for money: the few negative points mentioned remove a star. Welcome/service: warm welcome at the agency. The pool was even cleaned during our stay. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing stay!

We stayed at La Civetta with 3 generations of our family, including the dog - and everyone loved it! The last 10 minutes of the drive up require some concentration, typical Ticino, but easy to manage. But then: This view! This tranquility! This house! This garden! Simply wonderful! The house has been around for a few decades, but seems to have been lovingly maintained and carefully looked after. Investments have been made where it matters most: in the two main bathrooms and the kitchen appliances. Thanks to the spaciousness of the house, even a typical Ticino rainy stormy day was easy to weather. The equipment is extremely complete everywhere, especially the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. The detailed description of the grill, other appliances, and small quirks of the house made it easy to quickly get oriented. Therefore, we have only the best memories of a wonderful week high above Brissago.

The house is a few decades old, but seems to have been lovingly maintained and carefully looked after. Investments have been made precisely where they are important: in the two main bathrooms and in the kitchen appliances.
And thanks to the spaciousness of the house, even a typical Ticino rainy day was easily bearable.
The equipment is exceptionally complete everywhere, especially the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired.
The precise description of the grill, other devices, and small peculiarities of the house made it easy to find our way around quickly.
Thus, we only have the best memories of a wonderful week high above Brissago.
