Description

The villa 'La Romantica' is located just before the fishing village of Cannobio. Approximately 1 km from the center. about 2 kilometers beyond the Swiss border. The famous Nobel-place 'Ascona' is located in the immediate vicinity (about 8 km).

This detached house (100 square meters) has a large garden that extends to the lake. and two closed parking.

The house is composed as follows:

large corridor which leads to all the rooms.

1 bathroom with shower, toilet, BD, sink.
2nd bathroom with circular shower, toilet and sink, washing machine
One bedroom with bunk beds. (0,90 x 2,00 m)
One bedroom (double bed and Boxspringtopper 1,80 x 2,00 m) with lake view and direct access to the terrace and air conditioning.
One bedroom (double bed m. A mattress 1,60 x 2,00 m).
Living room with terrace access, tile fireplace, air conditioning, satellite TV. 46 "flat screen TV with all German TV programs!
Kitchen with dining area, gas stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, egg cooker, kettle, coffee machine etc.

large terrace (part Covered + electr. awning) with dining table with 6 seats. Overlooking the lake and the mountains gegebüberliegende:
Ascona, Maccagno, Luino, Isola de Brissago, Locarno.

On the large Seeterassen that are available for your own use, you can connect up late at night to enjoy the sun and as often as you want to jump in the lake.
Laterally of the terraces you can go over steps with a handrail in the lake.

Due to the unique location right at the lake, the coastal road passes behind the house.
The parking lot is next to the house and is closed by a gate.

Ideal for masters - Boat buoy in front of the lakeside terrace. The free boat slip is located in. about 1 km from the house.
Special feature: The house is equipped with central heating (gas). For the colder days!

Location and surroundings of object

Cannobio is the first place behind the Swiss border. It is an idyllic fishing village that has grown in recent years somewhat, but has not lost the typical Italian flair.
The house is about 1 km before the center directly on the lake.
Directly from the house you can make beautiful walks, from Cannobio you can take the boat to the market in Luino on the opposite side, or visit the Borromean Islands.

Dream house directly on Lake Maggiore

We have been coming to this house in spring for many years and are thrilled every time. The location directly on the lake is fantastic, only the shore road sometimes disturbs the idyll a little. But this is not a problem because of the excellent sound insulation in the house. The organisational handling of the rental was always quick and professional. The house is very well equipped and offers excellent opportunities for water sports in summer and many hiking and sightseeing opportunities in the vicinity all year round.
As in previous years, we will gladly return.

Dream house on the lake

Beautiful house right on the lago, perfectly equipped including the extra drinks fridge in the hallway. Everything looks as if the owners have only been out of the house for a short while.
The beds in particular provided complete rest through sound sleep when not distracted by the gorgeous view.
We felt super comfortable with three generations and two dogs. The contact with the landlady was absolutely easy and problem-free.

We will definitely be back.

Dream holiday on Lake Maggiore

This great villa is in an absolutely prime location on the lake, with its own small private beach.
As always, the landlady's accommodations are very well equipped.
Nothing is missing.

The beds are especially important to us:
The villa's box-spring beds are great to sleep in.

We enjoyed our time at Villa La Romantica very much and are happy to recommend it to others.

It does NOT get any BETTER than this!!!

The holiday home is stylishly furnished and has everything (and much more) you need. The sun terraces and the private lake access definitely distinguish the house. Parking in and out of the house is a bit unusual at first, but locked parking spaces directly at the house are rare here on the lake. It is easy to get in and out of the property even with a large pickup truck, despite the traffic on the shore road

We were here over Christmas and New Year's Eve and were lucky enough to meet the landlords. They are super nice!

The furnishings are definitely upscale (fireplace, heating, whirlpool, coffee machine, wifi, box spring beds, air conditioning, etc.), everything is clean, and the location is ideal for trips in all directions.

A recommendable restaurant and excursion tips list by the owner will surely delight even Lago permanent fans!

Our summary

Those who want to search in crumbs will definitely find something, but we maintain that would be complaining on a high level!

The price-performance ratio is unbeatable!!!

Small tip for the winter: be sure to pack fluffy socks ;-) . The tiled floor in the house is a bit cold underfoot in December (it is winter after all), but cosy evenings in front of the fireplace on the (pull-out) couch guarantee cosy & relaxing moments.

This was certainly not the last time we stayed at Villa Romantica!

Autumn vacation

Beautiful holiday home with very good facilities. Nothing was missing, and we felt comfortable. Whether on the large balcony or on the lake terrace, you can enjoy the great view of the lake. Cooler autumn evenings can be well endured in the warm hot tub. The house offers enough space for 4 adults and 2 children, and on the fenced parking space, two large cars can be parked very well. In terms of cleanliness, there was still room for improvement in the bathroom and kitchen, and the additional costs are relatively high. Overall, however, a great vacation in a beautiful well-maintained house.

Early departure due to ongoing construction noise.

Modern well-maintained house with basic amenities, kitchen functional. Great location, right on the lake with private beach. Along the coastal road, it is advisable to have a guide who watches the road when exiting and briefly stops traffic. For dog owners, a walk along the river near Traffiume a few minutes' drive from Cannobio is recommended. Unfortunately, there was no sign of relaxation, as the direct neighbor was conducting demolition work which was intensified in the second week by a excavator with a hydraulic jackhammer. Trucks were removing the debris. Picture and video material were sent. The landlady didn't care because she claimed she knew nothing about it. A gesture of goodwill was not even considered. As regular customers, that was it for us. We left early in frustration.

Relaxing holidays right by the lake

We (2 adults and 3 children) enjoyed our holiday to the last minute. The house is very well maintained, and the equipment (kitchen, etc.) is almost like at home. The location directly on the lake with the private lake terrace is optimal for water enthusiasts and sun worshippers. Although the road passes directly behind the house, this did not bother us, and we slept wonderfully. The owner was on site twice, and so my husband and the kids even had the pleasure of a private boat trip. Thank you again. The house is ideally located for excursions in the surrounding area (Italy - Switzerland). We will come back!

The house lives off its location

Upon arrival, the owner was still on site. Instead of welcoming us as new guests, he took off. On the first evening, the gardener was on site, maintaining the property with deafening garden tools. He explained that the weather was bad last week. The kitchen is very small and the appliances are very neglected (photos available). The second bedroom faces the street. There is no chance of sleeping there. Not suitable for young children, as multiple sockets and cut cables are accessible to them.

Communication with the landlady was unpleasant.

Nach den ausschließlich positiven Mails der Gäste während und nach dem Aufenthalt , kann ich diese Bewertung überhaupt nicht verstehen- ich habe noch eine vergessene Bluse von Deutschland aus nachgeschickt......
Bei der um 4 Stunden verfrühten Ankunft der Gäste war mein Mann mit dem Gärtner vor Ort- um Familie W. mit 2 Hunden die Wartezeit im heißen Auto auf einem entfernten Parkplatz zu ersparen, bot er an, die Arbeit auf einen anderen Tag zu verlegen- er wollte so den Gästen ermöglichen das Haus früher zu beziehen- der Gärtner musste also nochmal kommen.......

5 stars plus we will gladly come back

An exclusive, very tastefully and cozily furnished villa. We lacked nothing. A well-kept Mediterranean garden with beautiful terraces and an invaluable SUPER view during the day and in the evening over the lake and mountains. The landlords answer all questions immediately, are very nice and helpful. In our opinion, it's a total of 5 stars plus. We have already booked for next year and look forward to a fantastic holiday.

Great house, directly on the lake

We can highly recommend the holiday home, a great location with its own terrace on the lake, this is accessible via steps
Very well equipped, new living room, as well as 2 top beds in the larger bedrooms. The front room is a bit noisy as it is close to the road, but with a closed window no problem. Great view of the lake and close to the centre. about 2 minutes by car
Kitchen is a bit small, but still perfectly adequate. Everything very well organised...
Very nice and friendly contact with the landlord, absolutely recommendable. Lots of tips for the surroundings, all were 1A.

Dream location by the water

The house is located directly on the lake and has several terraces or levels. In the morning, we enjoyed our breakfast on the large terrace right by the house with a wonderful view over the lake. We especially liked the lakeside terrace. Here, we listened to the waves of the lake. It was a bit too cold for us to swim, but our dog enjoyed extensive rounds in the lake. The house is very well-equipped and leaves nothing to be desired. The landlords are extremely nice and very helpful. We can highly recommend the house without any restrictions.

Dream house right on the lake

The villa is a well-equipped and very well-maintained house. The location directly on the lake is simply fantastic. The rooms are very attractively furnished, the bathrooms are new and very clean. On the upper terrace, you can have breakfast in the morning sun. Via the stairs down to the lake, you can reach several relaxation areas. The terrace right on the lake impressed us the most. There you can sit wonderfully and watch the boats. We recommend the house without any reservations and will definitely come back.

Exklusiver Geheimtipp

A cozy holiday home in a unique dream location directly by the lake. We enjoyed every day. The location is perfect: ideal as a starting point for explorations and hikes, city trips, and relaxing on the spacious lake terrace. Not a single day was boring. A place we didn't want to leave at all. We even extended our stay. So please, just tell your best friends about it. Because we want to go back there. A vacation for connoisseurs.
