The 6.5 room holiday home offers spacious living for 6 persons. You can expect a living space of approx. 240 m2 spread over two floors. On the ground floor you will find the living-dining area with great room height, rustic exposed beams and large arched windows and exit to the terrace and pool area. Also on this level is the separate kitchen and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom/WC as well as a spacious TV room with flat screen TV and desk.

The outside area offers a covered seating area with comfortable wicker chairs and open fireplace and a dining table. The spacious swimming pool and an outdoor shower provide refreshment.

The upper floor is dedicated to the sleeping area and offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower / WC.
The private, covered parking space next to the house offers space for 1 to 2 cars. Furthermore, there is a garage space about 50 m away (for smaller cars).

The holiday home is situated on a hillside above Brissago near the Italian border. The access to the house (approx. 100 m) is via a steep, narrow private road. From the car park you can reach the house by a few stairs.
The village of Brissago can be reached in a few minutes by car. In the village centre of Brissago you will find a shop, post office and bank. Further shopping possibilities you will find in Ascona or Locarno. The picturesque seaside town of Cannobio is only a few minutes away by car, where you will find many restaurants and shopping facilities and where the famous Italian market is always held on Sundays.

Location and surroundings of object

Brissago ist the most deepest township of Switzerland and is situated on the frontier to Italy. The center is direct on the lake, the hamlet on the steep, natural slopes. The area is affected from the subtropical climate, with mediterranean vegetation and flowers.
Walk into the narrow streets of the small village until the lake and wonder the beautiful gardens, where many citrus fruits and cedar trees grow in the open air or admire the Renaissance church of San Pietro e Paolo surrounded by centuries-old cypress.
Brissago is not only famous for his Tabac and cigars factory, but also for the popular Brissago islands with the botanic garden where, thanks to the mild climate, several exotic plants grows up.
You can reach Brissago by bus from Locarno, in the high season there are also boats who goes until Brissago. The pictioral Ascona and the nearby typical Italian village Cannobio, where you can visit the famous market every Sunday, are just a few kilometer away. You can reach by car also Ticinos Valley like Valle Maggia, Valle Verzasca or Centovalli who are not far away. If you want to go walk or climbing you can scale the Corona dei Pinci, Pizzo Leone or Ghiridone. From there you have a spectacular view over the Lake Maggiore.
Brissago has also many cultural places, like historical monuments, museums, exhibitions and events. For example the annual festival in honor of Leoncavallo.
Socializing can be found in well-maintained restaurants, in the simple Grottos or in Michelin-starred restaurant.

We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The view is a dream, and we really enjoyed the hot summer days with cooling off in the pool. We would love to come back :)

The house has a spectacular location that can't be topped and the interiors are also full of light and spaciousness. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything even discerning cooks need. (we cooked 2X every day). If you want to book a really typical, beautiful Ticino house with a fine pool, from which you also have a lake view, this is the right place. The carport and garage are on the same level as the house, so no need to climb stairs! The only must for this house is: to be able to drive well, in order to be able to take the last hairpin bend in front of the carport in one go :-) We will definitely be back.
