The apartment dates from the 17th century and was completely restored a few years ago.
The ground floor houses the living and dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor there is a bedroom with 2 beds and a bathroom mei shower, toilet and sink.
From the hall to get on the second floor where the second bedroom. This has 2 beds and a sink. Likewise, there is a balcony on the south side.
Central heating throughout the house there. There is also in the kitchen, living room and bathroom / toilet, a ventilation system.

The house (monument) is located on the edge of the old center, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, harbor, etc.
In the 19th Jahthundert the house was known as a port brothel. Nearby there are just as many buildings from the 17th century were made where among others the famous' Harlinger tiles.
Beach and harbor are situated nearby. From here, the island of Terschelling and Vlieland are reached daily several times with the ferry. Bicycle rentals are available in Harlingen and on the islands. Harlingen is one of the 11 cities of Friesland and is located on the Wadden Sea (genetic material). The city is known for its beautiful gable and monumental buildings, most of which are beautifully restored.
In the old center there are numerous galleries, museums, restaurants and terraces (at the harbor and at the waterfront).
Not only you can ride to the island, there are also de possibility a Wadden Sea voyage to undertake (with a visit to the seals), or even a walk across the mudflats.
The beautiful coastline you can discover not only by car, but the bike is very suitable for a place and environment inspection. And if you all prefer to watch on foot, there are plenty of hiking trails and small, schnuckelige streets to look at.
About the final dam (Afsluitdijk), which incidentally was already created at the beginning of the 30s, to reach the Dutch capital Amsterdam in about 1 hour.

Great time at House Havenzicht
We really enjoyed our time in Harlingen. The landlords are super nice and communication is seamless. The furnishings of the apartment are great. Especially wonderful is that three floors are available. Parking is available for a small fee on the street in front of the door. Harlingen is a nice little town with a beach. Boat tours to see seals are possible or a visit to the Frisian islands.

Harlingen as the gateway to Friesland
The vacation was great because:
- Accommodation clean, very well equipped, super nice landlords
- Accommodation right in the old town directly at the harbor

Nice holiday home in the center of Harlingen.
Holiday home in a historic building in a convenient location near the city center of Harlingen with shops, close to the ferry terminal (with connections to Terschelling and Vlieland), the historic harbors, as well as bus and train. Cozy and tasteful decor that offers everything you need for a nice vacation. Many books with information and tips for visiting Friesland, but the owners are also happy to provide outing suggestions and assistance with any issues.
