Exclusively furnished 95 m² loft holiday flat with fenced garden located directly on the Dortmund Ems Canal between nature and the town of Lingen.
The towpath of the Dortmund Ems Canal is directly in front of the door. Parking spaces are available in front of the door. Via stairs or the "Lifta" you can reach the higher lying property, there bicycles can be parked and loaded. The flat, newly furnished in 2022, is located in a rear new extension of a house also occupied by dogs. The garden is completely fenced 120 cm high, four-legged friends are welcome there, also in the flat, but not on the sofa, or in bed. A terrace with barbecue sweetens the summer evenings.
The fully functional kitchen with enough dishes, glasses and cooking tools invites you to cook and bake with induction, oven and combi steamer. The fully automatic espresso machine provides you with various coffee specialities, which can be taken at the counter of the cooking island. The large dining table offers space for 6 people, and after the meal, the high-built dishwasher does the dishes, while you end the evening on the couch or the relaxing armchairs in front of the large TV. A music system and wifi are available. There are many games and books to choose from to further pass the time. The bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed for 2 people. There is also a sofa bed in this room. The modern barrier-free bathroom is directly adjacent.

Location and surroundings of object
The Emslandarena with many event highlights is a 5-minute walk away, the pedestrian zone is a further 7 minutes away, and the railway station and market square can be reached in less than 20 minutes. Around the market square with its historic facades, many restaurants invite you to linger.
A short walk along the canal in the other direction leads through nature to one of the most popular gastronomic establishments with a terrace directly on the water, the Grüner Jäger. The Leinpfad is an ideal starting point for cycling tours and invites you to go jogging. You will find information about the tours in the flat. There are offers for boat trips, canoeing or archery. If the weather is bad, you can go to the cinema or to the Linus leisure pool in Lingen with its beautiful sauna area. An indoor court can be booked online at the nearby Lingen Tennis Centre. Cultural events are offered in Lingen and the neighbouring towns of Nordhorn, Meppen and Rheine. Meppen is also known for very good women's football, a visit to the town 20 km away is worthwhile, tickets are available online. The cycle path along the canal is perfect up to there and further on.
Art lovers can visit Hall IV, or take a short trip across the border to Ootmarsum in the Netherlands. Ton Schulten's idyllic hometown attracts visitors with exhibitions and galleries. The Henry Nannen exhibition in Emden also shows originals by Heiner Altmeppen; it is well worth visiting, combined with a day at the Wadden Sea. A catamaran "flies" from Emden to the North Sea island of Borkum in almost an hour.
Those who prefer shopping can do so in Enschede; Oldenburg is also not far away. Bad Bentheim attracts visitors with knights' games and a real medieval castle; the Bourtange fortress is worth a visit. The nearby recreational lakes in Geeste and Lohne have restaurants all year round. Diving, sailing and surfing are possible in Geeste, SUP and swimming in Lohne.
You won't get bored in the town of the Kivelings and the surrounding area, unless you want to.

Holiday with the bike
Very nice vacation apartment, well equipped, with high-quality furnishings and located directly on the Dortmund-Ems Canal. Everywhere well-passable bike paths, whether on the canal, to the city center or the surrounding area. Perfect vacation. Thank you very much again to our landlady for the uncomplicated handling and very friendly welcome. We would love to come back.

Beautiful holiday home in Lingen
Beautiful holiday home in Lingen. Quietly situated on the Dortmund-Ems canal. Beautifully furnished and extensive inventory. Everything is there. Very clean. Enclosed outdoor terrace to let the dog out in good weather. Great starting point to discover Lingen and the Emsland.

Great flat!
We were welcomed by very obliging and friendly landlords and had a very pleasant stay in Lingen. The flat, located directly on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, is equipped to a high standard and left nothing to be desired. The Emsland Arena and the city centre are within walking distance. The whole process was very uncomplicated, the landlords were even kind enough to send us some forgotten utensils (shower gel!). Many thanks for that too! The flat comes highly recommended! We will be back again!
