Description
ANNO 1833. We are very proud of the old lady, which is available to you as a holiday home for 8 people. We have put a lot of time and attention to detail into the renovation and furnishing. Where possible, we have preserved old elements - such as the monastery stones in the entrance area or the old floorboards. Although it has a few "quirks" here and there, it still exudes the quaint charm that we love about the house. In some places we have uncovered the quarry stone wall. Some of the furniture is homemade from old, used wood. If you are of "average" height, it is better to bend down at one or two of the passages.
As we have two small furry noses ourselves, dogs are of course welcome. Four dog bowls, two blankets and two pillows are available for your four-legged friends.
The old quarry stone farmhouse is located in the small village of Büscheich, a district of Gerolstein in the middle of the Volcanic Eifel. The village with its 450 inhabitants lies at the foot of the 617 m high Dietzenley and directly on the popular Eifelsteig hiking trail. Büscheich itself lies at an altitude of just under 500 metres. It is about 4 km to the centre of Gerolstein. In Gerolstein you can find everything your heart desires.
The house has a ground floor and an upper floor, distributed over 155 sqm and is heated with a pellet heating system. In the transitional period you can conjure up cosy warmth with the fireplace. The property has a total size of approx. 560 sqm
Already in the ENTRANCE AREA, sofa, armchairs & Co. invite you to linger by the large fireplace.
Furthermore, on the GROUND FLOOR there are the 1st and 2nd bedroom, a room with table football, the 1st bathroom (daylight, shower, washbasin, WC) and the access to the barn. The barn offers enough space to park bicycles or motorbikes. You will also find the wood for the fireplace there
On the upper floor you will find bedrooms 3 and 4 (passage room), bathroom no. 2 (shower, washbasin, toilet), an anteroom with day bed/sofa and the large living/dining area with kitchen.
THE KITCHEN is equipped with sink, dishwasher, oven, induction hob and separate refrigerator. Furthermore, coffee machine (Senseo & filter coffee), kettle and toaster are at the start. Cutlery, crockery, pots, pans & Co. obligatory.
MEDIA: Small stereo system (radio | CD | Bluetooth) in the living / dining area, flat screen TV & free W-LAN. We have a W-LAN amplifier in the upper hallway, so you should have reception (almost) in the whole house. In the table football room there is a hi-fi amplifier with hi-fi speakers and mobile phone connection.
GARDEN: You can make yourself comfortable in the garden both in front of and behind the house. The property is completely fenced in with a bonanza fence or wire mesh fence. There is a large barbecue and seating in front of and behind the house.

Rest and relaxation in the Vulkaneifel
With a very nice contact with the host family, the vacation started already in the planning phase. We found a elaborately and lovingly furnished farmhouse, where we felt almost at home. A very quiet place for peace and relaxation.

Our weekend trip
We spent a wonderful weekend here with 7 people and our dog. Upon arrival, we were positively surprised. The house is beautiful and lovingly furnished, everything was clean and tidy. We especially liked the garden and the terrace, where we spent wonderful hours. The kitchen is equipped with all the important utensils. We lacked nothing. You can take nice walks nearby. The nature is breathtaking. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the unforgettable weekend.

Wonderfully renovated old Eifel house. In the Vulkaneifel.
In the year 1833, we spent a week with two families, a total of 8 people and a dog. The house is wonderfully renovated, the old house structures are still recognizable, but it lacks no amenities (e.g. large and beautifully designed bathroom). We went hiking a lot in the surrounding area, from the front door or around Gerolstein. It was too cool for us on the terrace in the evenings, but we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace.

Men's weekend in the Eifel
We spent our annual men's weekend here in the Eifel. For 4 snorers, 4 bedrooms were perfect. We found a beautiful old, wonderfully restored, and lovingly furnished holiday home. Here, modernity meets nostalgia. As it should be, we grilled, and we found a swivel grill and a brand new gas grill. Everything we needed was available. On the covered terrace (with a "beer" fridge! We spent two wonderful evenings. The house is ideally located as a starting point for a day hike to Gerolstein and to Munterley. Communication with the landlords was perfect. I have never experienced anything like it, and there was even a small gift that matched the theme of our weekend, which was a great surprise. Thank you very much to S. and D., maybe we will see each other at one of the upcoming concerts. If I could, I would give 6 stars!!!! 100% recommendation.
