Come and enjoy yourself at Holiday Home Grevelingenmeer! Located in a quiet bungalow park in Herkingen, on the island of Goeree Overflakkee, above Zeeland. Close to Renesse, Rotterdam, and 20 minutes from Ouddorp by the sea!
The detached holiday home is within walking distance of the water and is fully equipped. Around the house you will find a spacious garden and terrace with plenty of play space for children and nice spots to relax. Here you can enjoy peace, nature, and the fresh sea air. From the hallway on the ground floor you have access to the modern bathroom, which was completely renovated in 2022. The bathroom is equipped with a luxurious rain shower, a washbasin cabinet with storage space, a large mirror with dimmable lighting, and a toilet. There is also a washing machine so you can easily do laundry during your stay.
Bed linen is included with your stay and the beds will be made up for you before arrival, so your holiday can start right away. You need to bring your own towels.
Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor, opposite the bathroom. Ideal for children or grandparents. This room has 2 comfortable box spring beds of 90x190 cm. All beds in the holiday home are box springs and can be used either as single beds or as a double bed.
In the cozy living room there are 2 comfortable sofas and 2 nice armchairs. Here you can relax wonderfully, catch up together, have drinks, or watch television after a day at the beach or on the water. Thanks to the large south-facing sliding door, the living room is beautifully light.
There is also room for 6 people at the round dining table. There are 2 high chairs available and the table is perfect for long dinners or a cozy game night.
For children, there are books (Dutch and German), games, and toys ready. The luxury kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook and enjoy together. Here you will find, among other things, a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, an oven with microwave function, a dishwasher, and a spacious refrigerator with freezer compartment. Ideal for an extensive breakfast, a quick lunch, or a cozy evening together. To make your arrival extra comfortable, we provide a number of basic amenities such as coffee, tea, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets, a kitchen towel, tea towel, and dishcloths.
Via the sturdy staircase you reach the upper floor where bedrooms 2 and 3 are located.
Bedroom 2 features 2 comfortable box spring beds measuring 90x210 cm, which can be used together as a king-size bed. There is also a spacious wardrobe with plenty of storage space, and a travel cot can be added if desired. Bedroom 3 has 2 box spring beds of 90x200 cm that can also be used as a double bed. Here too, there is enough space to put your belongings.
All bedrooms are equipped with shutters and screens.
In the storage room upstairs you will find, among other things, a fan, travel cot, high chairs, vacuum cleaner, and other practical items.
Free wifi is available in the holiday home.
From the living room you can step straight onto the sunny south-facing terrace. Do you need a bit more shade? Then it is wonderful to relax in the green garden area on the east side of the holiday home, where a large tree serves as a natural parasol.
On the terrace there is a garden set and a parasol so you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, drinks, or a barbecue outside. In the garden there is also a cozy picnic table where you can enjoy your breakfast in the early morning sun. There is hardly a better way to start the day. For children, there is plenty of play fun with a slide, sandbox, water play table, baby swing, and children’s swing. Thanks to the enclosed garden, our young guests can enjoy themselves here to the fullest.
In the new garden house (2025), there are lounge chairs, bicycles, garden tools, and beach toys for children. This way, you don’t have to bring many things yourself and you can immediately enjoy a relaxing stay at the Grevelingenmeer.

In addition to 2 large marinas, Herkingen also has a snack bar, a brasserie, and a restaurant. If you do not feel like cooking, you can visit these.
On the island of Goeree Overflakkee there is a lot to experience for young and old. There are countless walking and cycling paths through the beautiful and varied nature. There are polders, forests, and nature reserves, such as the Slikken van Flakkee where cattle and Fjord horses roam.
In the area there are swimming pools, a seal sanctuary, a fauna park, etc. In about 20 minutes you are in Ouddorp and the open North Sea, where there are countless opportunities for water sports. If you want to go shopping, you can drive to the village of Middelharnis in 10 minutes, where you will find many shops and beautiful boutiques.

Beautiful, peaceful vacation
Cozy holiday home, very well equipped. Wonderful shady garden with a swing in the tree and plenty of seating. Small beach nearby, good for younger children. Very friendly landlords. For the "big" beach and excursions, you need a car, Herkingen is a bit remote. But it is pleasantly quiet.

Pure relaxation
We had a wonderful time in the great vacation home. We especially appreciated the option to darken the rooms (especially the bedrooms) with a roller shutter and the fly screens on the windows. We also enjoyed using the great garden with the equipment for the children. Everything was clean and nicely arranged. Especially nice - there were many capsules for the Dolce Gusto available and the kitchen was well equipped.
We would love to come back.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus, sehr gut ausgestattet. Wunderbarer schattiger Garten mit Schaukel im Baum und vielen Sitzgelegenheiten. Kleiner Strand in unmittelbarer Nähe, gut für kleinere Kinder. Sehr nette Vermieter. Für den "großen" Strand und Ausflüge braucht man das Auto, Herkingen ist doch ein wenig abgelegen. Dafür aber schön ruhig.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in dem tollen Ferienhaus. Sehr positiv fanden wir die Möglichkeit, die Zimmer (insbesondere dir Schlafzimmer) mit einem Rolladen zu verdunklen und die Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern. Auch den tollen Garten mit der Ausstattung für die Kinder haben wir gerne genutzt.
Alles war sauber und schön hergerichtet. Besonders schön - es waren viele Kapseln für die Dolce Gusto vorhanden und die Ausstattung der Küche.
Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
