Welcome to the Hochtal Wildschönau!
Our flat house ASTORIA is located very centrally and yet absolutely quietly.
Important facilities such as post office, bank, grocery shop, restaurants and cafés,
can be found in the immediate vicinity (50-250 m) of our house.
The impressive mountain world of the Kitzbühel Alps invites you to take wonderful hikes in the alpine world.
Not far from our house you will also find the following worthwhile excursion destinations:
*Kundler Klamm - impressive gorge world
*Schönanger Alm - high-altitude alpine pasture accessible by normal car and at the same time starting point for numerous alpine hikes.
Comfortably furnished holiday flats are available for your stay.
The flats offer you all the comfort you need for your feel-good holiday and leave nothing to be desired.

The Tennladen Apartments are located directly at the Tennladen ski lift!
In winter, simply strap on your skis and off you go - in summer, start off on wonderful hikes right behind the house!
The bus stop and the stop for the Wildschönauer Bummelbahn is right in front of our house!
The centre of Niederau is about a 10-minute walk away!
The Tennladen restaurant is also located in the house and is known for its delicious dishes.
You can spend wonderful evenings there and don't even have to leave the house.
You can also take advantage of our breakfast service or our half-board offers in the restaurant!
Our only immediate neighbours are donkey llamas and calves from the neighbouring farm.
"Simply fetch the milk yourself from the farmer - done in 3 minutes!
The flat house has just been renovated and now shines in new splendour!
All flats are equipped with a bathroom with shower and WC, satellite TV, beautiful kitchens with seating and kitchenette (electric cooker, oven, coffee machine, fridge with freezer compartment, dining area) and spacious balconies or terraces. Sufficient parking spaces are also available. In front of the house there is also a cosy covered gazebo where you can spend wonderful summer evenings.
In the cellar there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer for guests.
With the exception of our small studio (Wg. Markbachjoch), each flat has a balcony or terrace from which you can enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery in the immediate vicinity.
We are happy to provide you with a baby travel cot, a pram and a high chair at any time.
Holidays in summer
In the summer months, the house is an excellent starting point for wonderful hiking, climbing and mountain bike tours. The rustic mountain huts of the Wildschönau invite you to enjoy a hearty snack. If you prefer something more adventurous, there are numerous opportunities for paragliding in the immediate vicinity, as well as a new high ropes course built in 2008 or offers for canyoning, rafting and quad biking. There is also a bad-weather programme. In the Wave adventure pool, you will find a wave pool, pool bar, various adventure slides, sauna area and a large pool. The L2 is the only double looping slide in the world. The unique slow train stops in the immediate vicinity of our hotel and takes you to all the highlights.
From summer 2020, a new large children's adventure park with flying fox, summer toboggan run, bathing lake and much more will be located almost directly on the doorstep of Astoria Apartment.
Winter holiday
The perfect beginners' ski area Oberau with ski rental and toboggan run is just 200 metres away from our house! After a successful day of skiing, you can even ski back to our front door. As Oberau is located exactly in the middle between Niederau and Auffach, advanced skiers can choose every day between the skiing area Niederau with its many offers and the higher and snow-sure offer in Auffach. The ski passes are the same for all 3 areas and therefore the area can be freely chosen every day. The Wildschönau also offers various toboggan runs, cross-country ski trails and carriage rides.

Location and surroundings of object
The Wildschönau lies in the middle between Munich and Innsbruck! The best way is to take the motorway exit Wörgl Ost! and then follow the road to Wörg until you reach the church! 100 metres after the church there is a crossroads to the left towards Wildschönau! Follow the L3 Wildsch. Landesstr. until the 2nd village Oberau (is Niederau).
In Oberau pass the church and go downhill until you see the Cafe Moorhof on the right. Our house is very centrally located! Opposite the cafe is the entrance to our house Astoria (in 2nd row).

The Tyrolean high valley of Wildschönau lies halfway between the border with Bavaria and the provincial capital of Innsbruck. With its four parish villages Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Thierbach, which lie between 828 to m above sea level, this high valley is a world of its own. 300 km of well-maintained hiking routes, seven Nordic walking trails and mountain bike trails open up new paths off the beaten track. Families, pleasure holidaymakers and active sports enthusiasts are all captivated by the "wild beauty". Step out of yourself or step more quietly, enjoy with all your senses and become one with nature: everything is possible, because the magnificent mountain world awakens all your spirits. In summer, the Wildschönau Dragon Club keeps guest children from five to 14 on their toes. The colourful programme of games, sports and fun, nature and culture is completely free of charge. Nerves and buzzing ears are guaranteed on guided canyoning tours and rafting excursions several times a week. And of course also in the natural high ropes course, which leads from crown to crown at a height of 17 metres. The highest of feelings is certainly a paragliding flight from the Markbachjoch. Throughout the summer, many events take place against the mountain backdrop of the Kitzbühel Alps. Hiking moves, awakens feelings of happiness and leads to new perspectives: On the 300 km of marked hiking trails in the Wildschönau, the Tyrolean high valley can be discovered again and again. In the valley, there are enjoyment routes to old farms with tastings of typical dishes, guided spice and medicinal herb hikes or the sculptures on the Franziskusweg, for which it is worth lacing up the hiking boots. Further up, the Kaser alpine pastures entice you to take a leisurely break. there are 46 managed alpine pastures in the Wildschönau and proud "Alminger" look after them all summer long. On the paths to the summits and ridges you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Inn Valley, the Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps. "Lift-light hiking" is the recommendation for gentle pleasure hiking tours. The Markbachjochbahn opens its turnstiles as early as May, and the mountain with its small children's playground and petting zoo is very popular with families. Beautiful walks and mountain tours can also be undertaken from the top. A stop at the Markbachjochalm or a good bit above - at the Norderbergalm, the Holzalm or the Anton Graf Hütte - is reward for all the effort. From June, the Schatzberg cable car is also in summer operation. A vast hiking area with magnificent views stretches from the Schatzberg. The Gratlspitz, the Lämpersberg and the highest mountain in the region, the Große Beil ( m), provide impressive summit experiences. Guided adventure hikes are organised four times a week, all of which are free of charge with the WildschönauCard.

Thanks to sensationally great leisure activities around the Wildschönau, you can even enjoy bad weather here. The Wave Wörgl is one of the top bathing facilities in Austria and offers the sauna world of the Romans as well as a super slide and children's adventure world.
The newly created Aunerwald Westendorf Brixental golf course is only 7 kilometres away from us!
Many worthwhile excursion destinations such as the Svarovski Crystal Worlds, Riedel Glassworks, or cities such as Rattenberg, Kitzbühel, Kufstein, Innsbruck, Munich and Salzburg are all within a maximum of 1 hour's drive away.
There are no less than 7 children's parks around the Hochtal! Alpinolino Westendorf, Hexenwasser Söll, Lauserland Alpbachtal, Filzalmsee Brixen, Salvenaland Hopfgarten, Triassic Park and Ellmis Zauberwald are between 5 and 40 kilometres away from our house.

Events in the Wildschönau
At various events you can always experience a part of Tyrolean tradition at first hand.
Niederau village evening: Every Wednesday in summer there is a village evening in Niederau! Before the concert by the Bundesmusikkapelle Niederau, a small local group usually plays "real folk music". In addition, every week there are old Tyrolean specialities from various associations such as the Ortsbäurinen, Niederauer Männerchor
Wildschönau Valley Festival: The Wildschönau Valley Festival always takes place on the second weekend in August. The whole valley meets there with all its associations! The highlight of the festival. During the traditional procession on Sunday, nothing is left out that the valley has to offer in terms of culture. The unique Wildschönau Sturmlöda, a kind of rifle club originally preserved from a time when people fought against France with homemade weapons (200 years ago), are a special treat.
Almabtrieb: There are many Almabtrieb, but only a few are as beautiful and large as the Wildschönau Almabtrieb in Auffach. Every year, the animals from the entire valley basin come together here! There is a farmers' market with a bar and several music groups.
Krautinger Week: The Krautinger Week in October is unique in its kind! Every year at harvest time, a festival for the beet is held in the Hochtal. In the Hochtal, a lot has revolved around the noble product Krautinger for a long time. During this week, additional delicacies such as beet soup and beet cake are served at a big festival:
Bergadvent Wildschönau: At the end of November there is one of the most beautiful and contemplative festivals in the valley. The Tyrolean Mountain Advent in the zBach Farmers' Museum. Folk music groups and traditional societies offer a unique insight into times gone by.
Skiopening Wildschönau: Usually in the second week of December the time has come. The big ski opening is celebrated! There is a large marquee at the lift car park in Auffach and numerous ski huts also celebrate with live music.
