The SeeWaldMeer holiday home on Lake Barnin is an ideal starting point for nature lovers and active holidaymakers who want to take a deep breath while hiking, cycling and fishing. Water hikers seeking peace and quiet who want to set sail by canoe or kayak can get especially close to nature here.
In the midst of the Sternberg lake landscape, one of the most beautiful canoeing regions in Europe, the holiday home is not far from the state capital Schwerin (30min) with its famous castle and the magnificent castle garden.
The SeeWaldMeer holiday home in 19089 Barnin was built in 2021 by craftsmen from the region in the style of a Danish summer house. The dark cladding of spruce wood forms a harmonious contrast to the light interior. Thanks to triple glazing, the well-insulated wooden house offers a pleasant indoor climate in all seasons. Between a lot of wood and a lot of white, the soul comes to rest. With a total area of 64 square metres and 3 rooms, the SeeWaldMeer holiday home on Lake Barnin stands for cosiness and security. It is ideal for 2 to 5 people seeking peace and quiet (up to 4 adults aged 25 and over, or 3 adults and 2 children) who love it cosy and comfortable
The furnishings are of high quality. Large glass surfaces in the living area and bedroom allow an unobstructed view outside and set the scene for the lake. Blankets and accessories increase the feel-good factor. The holiday home has a large dining table made of light oak wood, WLAN internet, a flat screen TV with satellite connection and a radio. The living area and bedroom can be darkened with roller blinds.
The living area with integrated kitchen and wood-burning stove is a place to switch off, relax and enjoy togetherness. The fold-out sofa bed (W/L 150x200cm) offers space for two people. Watching the twinkling stars from the sofa in front of the crackling fireplace in the evening - that is pure cosiness. By the way, the quiet in winter is perfect for this. The fireplace radiates cosy warmth and provides a homely atmosphere all year round. The entire holiday home can also be easily tempered via electric heaters.
The bathroom has underfloor heating and a towel dryer. The barrier-free shower is bordered by a glass wall. The bedroom with double bed (W/L 180x200cm, 2 mattresses) is ideal for two peace-seekers with a sense of far-reaching views that connect the sky and the lake. The oak-fronted wardrobe offers plenty of storage space
A steep wooden staircase leads up to the upper floor. The room under the sloping roof is particularly suitable as a bunk for the little ones with a standing height of 1.75m
The lounge area under the glass canopy is a welcome resting place even in bad weather. The morning sun glistens through the tall pines and firs. The large sun terrace on the lake side with its seating area and sun loungers invites you to spend leisurely hours outside. Within sight of the holiday home, the optional rowing boat is waiting for an outing or fishing trip.

In the immediate vicinity of the SeeWaldMeer holiday home in Barnin is the bathing area with a large sunbathing lawn, bathing jetty and lake stage. The little ones will enjoy the children's playground with climbing castle and slide. A beach volleyball court, football pitch, basketball hoop and table tennis tables await the grown-ups. Passionate anglers will find a fishing area with a large stock of carp, eel, pike and pikeperch in the Barnin Lake. A rewarding walk continues along thatched farmhouses and the neo-Gothic church from 1869 to the cosy country inn "Kiek in" with an ice cream café. During quiet rambles through the neighbouring woods, you can feel the springy forest floor under your feet and discover the untouched nature that shines in the sunlight in the most diverse colours.
There are many things to do in the area around Barnin: a guided SUP board tour or a beginners' course on Lake Barnin, a canoe tour on the Warnow, exploring one of Germany's best golf courses, a wellness day at the spa, horseback riding through shady forests, tracking down the Schwerin castle ghost and sticking your feet in the fine sandy beach of the Baltic Sea during a day at the seaside.
At Basthorst Castle (15 min) you can not only feast on the cake and pie buffet, but also visit the large spa landscape with swimming pool and sauna world as a day guest. A paradise for horse lovers with children's riding, jumping and cross-country riding is Gut Vorbeck (20 min). This is also the ideal starting point for a canoe tour on the Warnow. Canoes for hire and tour suggestions await beginners and advanced canoeists. The multi-award-winning WINSTONgolf golf course (20 min) is ready for a game of golf amid 200 hectares of beguilingly beautiful landscape. The magnificent Schwerin Castle (30 min) is located on an island in Lake Schwerin. In the landmark of the state capital, the "Petermännchen" is up to mischief. The baroque palace of Ludwigslust (35 min), also known as the Versailles of the North, has a very special charm. On a day trip to the Hanseatic city of Wismar (45 min) you can discover the harbour and the historic old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the island of Poel (45 min), the crystal-clear sea and the fine sandy beach of the Baltic Sea are at your feet. Fish restaurants tempt you with fried cod and pollock.

Dream house in a prime location.
Perfect house in a quiet lakeview location, a guarantee for pure relaxation for those seeking peace. Outstanding are the two terraces, one of them covered, and the large panoramic windows in the living room where you can sit and simply look even in bad weather. Surrounded by blooming rapeseed fields, forest and meadows with fresh green. Cycling, hiking, walking, swimming - everything in close proximity. Very well-maintained village with 2 large well-cared-for sunbathing areas, playground, and two separate bathing jetties. Our 4-year-old grandson was easily entertained. A day with the two kayaks on the lake and in the evening watching the sunset on the water was wonderful for us. This is a house where we could become repeat offenders.
