Description

The "Alte Bäckerei Sülstorf" is a house with history. The brick house in the main street was built in 1919. The Sülstorf bakery was located there until 1970

in 1996, the house was renovated and divided into three flats. We bought the house in 2020 and furnished two holiday flats

Our holiday flats have a shared front door, and the hallway leads directly into the flats on the left and right. Each flat has its own door to the courtyard. The flats are spread over two floors, connected by a staircase within each flat.

On the ground floor of the Klönstuv is the combined living/dining area with kitchen and wood-burning stove, as well as a WC. On the upper floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe and a children's room with a bunk bed. The bathroom with shower and bathtub is also on this floor

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, oven, extractor bonnet, dishwasher and refrigerator with freezer compartment as well as kettle and coffee machine. A parking space is available in the courtyard. In the outdoor area of the property, there is a guest garden for our holiday guests with a large sandpit, swing and trampoline as well as a covered outdoor seating area with a view into the garden.

Our flats are non-smoking flats, but there is the possibility to smoke in the courtyard.

Location and surroundings of object

Centrally located between Schwerin and Ludwigslust is Sülstorf, one of three districts in the municipality of the same name. Sülstorf is a quiet village surrounded by fields, meadows and a nearby peat bog. The state capital Schwerin is about 20 km away. The city of seven lakes is more than worth a visit. The beautifully preserved moated castle or the beautiful city centre, Schwerin Zoo, an open-air museum and much more create a colourful and varied holiday programme. Other destinations for day trips are the Hanseatic cities of Wismar, Lübeck, Rostock and Hamburg and the royal seat of Ludwigslust. The Baltic Sea is about 60 km away and can be reached by car in about an hour. The Mecklenburg Lake District with the towns of Plau and Waren is also easily accessible by car.

Vacation in rural idyll for relaxation

Former "Old Bakery" in Sülstorf, with 2 holiday apartments, landlords in the house and always approachable. Large garden and own chickens that lay delicious eggs. We were happy to have fresh eggs upon arrival. Additionally, there is a trampoline, sandbox, and toys for children in the garden. Apartment lovingly furnished and very clean, over 2 floors. Own kitchen, excellently equipped. Suitable for a relaxing vacation for couples or with children. Bike paths nearby, storage for bicycles in the courtyard. Washing machine in the apartment. Well-maintained place and beautiful surroundings. We would love to come back! 😊😊

Lovingly furnished holiday apartment in an idyllic setting

The apartment is furnished with great attention to detail and is well-equipped. Directly in front of the apartment in the courtyard and in the beautiful adjacent garden, there are many seating options for relaxed summer days or evenings. The old bakery is located in a very quiet and idyllic setting; the only downside is that you have to drive longer distances for most excursions. However, the accessible peat bog in Sülstorf is also worth a walk. Brigitte and Gerhard are very warm and helpful hosts, and we are happy to come back!

Lovingly modern furnished apartments with comfort

We are as a family in the vacation apartment for the third time because we really like it. There is plenty of space, and a lot is offered such as a large garden to relax in, a trampoline, a fire pit, and much more. Major cities like Schwerin, Ludwigslust, or Hagenow are not far away, especially since there is a train connection on-site. It is ideal for cycling or simply taking a break from everyday life.

A true oasis for vacationing

We have been there four times and are every time so thrilled by how beautiful it is and how warmly we are welcomed.

Brigitte and Gerhard make every effort to arrange everything lovingly and decorate it so that nothing is lacking.

The apartment is top-equipped and lovingly furnished.

Arrive, feel good and relax

The flat is exactly how you would want a holiday flat to be. Excellent furnishings with many well thought-out details
Very clean and comfortable and very spacious. Nothing is missing. The beds are excellent.
There are several cosy seating areas in the garden
From Süelstorf you can make many great city trips (Schwerin, Wismar or Ludwigslust are within easy reach). Boltenhagen/Baltic Sea is also only an hour's drive away.
Brigitte and Gerhard are very friendly hosts and take great care of their guests. We can definitely recommend this holiday flat.

Relaxed vacation week

I spent a week in the holiday apartment with my girlfriend. We felt very comfortable and were able to relax wonderfully.
The apartment was very well equipped. We had everything we needed. We also found the binder with tips and information provided by the hosts particularly helpful.
Schwerin is a very interesting city, although unfortunately, we couldn't visit the castle due to Corona. We would be very happy to return for a second visit!

Beautiful girls' trip

My friends and I had a wonderful short vacation in this holiday apartment. We were thrilled with how well-equipped and lovingly designed the apartment is. For a city trip to Schwerin, the accommodation is perfect. By car or train, you can reach the city in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for all the activities we wanted to do. During our next visit, we plan to go to Berlin and Hamburg, and the sea is also within reachable distance.
Brigitte and Gerhard were very warm hosts, which further increased the feeling of comfort. We are already looking forward to the next time!

Recreational vacation for parents

We visited the Klönstuv holiday apartment in August 2021 with a friend’s family who were at the Brezelstüble. We were completely surprised by the great amenities, especially in the kitchens. We could leave the toys and other items we brought in the car. The entire property was fenced, allowing us to let the children play in the garden undisturbed. The outdoor area could be used by children of different age groups. In the covered seating area, we could also celebrate a children's birthday even in moderate weather :) Thanks again to the wonderful hosts Brigitte and Gerhard for the lovely birthday decorations :) Both holiday apartments were very clean, cozy, and modern, furnished with great attention to detail. We travel a lot in holiday apartments and were very impressed by the cleanliness and practicality of the apartments. (Z. b Fall protection at the beds, railings on the stairs, stools for children, kitchen utensils, etc.) The apartments are suitable not only for families but also for couples, friends with families/couples, or with grandparents, etc. Through the connecting corridor, one can easily get together quickly or also find peace from one another. Sülstorf is very rural, but that is also enjoyable. One is quickly in Schwerin and can undertake many excursions, and one is also quickly in the surrounding big cities or at the Baltic Sea.
We are already looking forward to our next visit. The children felt very comfortable.

In the countryside with many possibilities.

We were in August for one night in the old bakery and had the opportunity to view both holiday apartments. Both apartments are very lovingly furnished and very well suited for families with children. But also for two friendly families or for a holiday with the grandparents. The beds are very high quality, and we slept wonderfully. The equipment in both apartments is very good; everything you need is there. We particularly liked the large garden and guest garden with many play options for children. The covered seating area is also a great feature and allows for outdoor dining in any weather. Sülztorf itself is rural, and you can indeed be awoken by roosters. Schwerin can be reached in 10 minutes, and there are many excursion options. Hamburg, Rostock, and Lübeck for those who enjoy cities. The Baltic Sea and the Mecklenburg Lake District, all within about an hour's drive, invite for various day trips. We especially enjoyed the lovely atmosphere of this house. The hosts are happy to assist with tips and recommendations. We will gladly return for a longer stay.
