Parking space in front of the house
In one half of our house there are two friendly furnished holiday apartments. Our guests enter their flats through the common entrance door. From the hallway with the wardrobes, they enter the "Wohlgemuth" holiday flat on the ground floor, which we will be offering from August onwards - up the stairs to the "Fröhlich" apartment. You come straight into the kitchen. Here you will find all the usual kitchen utensils such as a coffee machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, egg boiler, blender and dishwasher. The entire floor is covered with wood-look venyl flooring, except for the bathroom, which is tiled. The windows are all equipped with insect screens and pleated blinds. There are blackout curtains in front of the windows in both bedrooms. Both bedrooms are equipped with 2 beds, 2 bedside cabinets, a three-door wardrobe and chairs for storage
The living room is equipped with a functional couch, 2 armchairs, coffee table (extendable), wall unit, floor lamp, TV with DVD, radio with CD player. From the living room you go into the (parents') bedroom, from there or also from the hallway you can use the small back room also as a play, dining, club room, through the hallway you reach the bathroom with shower and WASHING MACHINE.
The holiday flats also have a large garden with a summer house. There you will find tables, chairs, loungers, cushions, barbecue, games, ashtrays. The trampoline, slide and swing, rotary clothes dryer can be used by both parties. Each apartment also has its own barbecue. On the left side of the garden you can put your own seating group. The garden side is still being optimised for our guests. From the garden fence you can look over the field and enjoy the Baltic Sea view.

The holiday flat is located in the house of our large rural property in the middle of the Poel fields and close to the beach, outside the nearest village Wangern. NO HOLIDAY SETTLEMENT. Quiet location. Hinter Wangern is a district of Wangern. It is an idyllic place. Approx. 1km to the nearest beach. Interesting natural beaches and beautiful, wide sandy beaches alternate. Our nearest neighbours are about 50 to 100 metres away.
Our beautiful island is about 36 km², so it is manageable. Apart from swimming in the Baltic Sea, you can cycle, hike, walk, jog or ride. Or simply relax and unwind. There are 15 small, dreamy villages on Poel, all of which can be easily reached by bicycle. The island's main town is Kirchdorf, the cultural and social hub of the islanders and guests. A prominent point of the island is already visible from the mainland, the island church, built in the 13th century. There is an impressive miniature ensemble of the church, the ramparts and the former castle near the church at the museum in Kirchdorf.
Two doctors' surgeries, a pharmacy, the island museum, 3 bakeries, Netto currently closed as a new building is expected in the second quarter of 2023, REWE, shoe shop, boutique, R+V Bank terminal (without counters), souvenir shops, cafés, restaurants (in several villages), library, fire brigade and a small boatyard are all located in Kirchdorf.
The maritime ports of call are of course our small harbours in Kirchdorf and Timmendorf. From Kirchdorf harbour, the Adlerschiffe offer trips to Wismar, sunset trips and much more.
It takes 10 minutes to get to the mainland. The world heritage city of Wismar can be reached in 20 minutes. The historic town centre, the harbour with its large and small sailing boats and ships, the brick churches of St. Nikolai, the Marienkichturm and St. Georgenkirche are all well worth a visit. Here you can also take the lift up to the roof and look over Wismar's roofs and far into the country and also see the island of Poel
From the island of Poel you can easily reach the A20 towards Lübeck (approx. 65 km) and the A20 towards Rostock (approx. 60 km) and the A14 to Schwerin by motorway after approx. 18 km. The nearest airports are in Laage near Rostock (A19) and Lübeck. The nearest railway station is in Wismar. The nearest petrol station is about 15 km from Wismar

WLAN expansion in the north has been in full swing for almost 2 years. Here, too, Corona got in the way. The work is picking up again. We hope that we will soon be able to offer you "fast internet". We are all waiting for it.
We ask for waste separation. Visitor's tax is levied on a yearly basis.

Top highly recommended.
We stayed with the Fröhlich family in June. A very nice accommodation with lots of nature and tranquility. Perfect for relaxing. Very nice landlords. We will gladly come back.

Insider tip on Poel
Very nice holiday flat, clean and cosy, warm hosts and a great location with a large garden and lots of opportunities to play. The island offers a lot of relaxation and very beautiful beaches in every season. We will be back.

My husband and I are very attached to this house, both of us of energetic retirement age, and so we put a lot of love and heart and soul into the house, yard and garden. I grew up here.
