With its proximity to the North Sea and the border to the Netherlands, Emsland is the starting point for a wide range of activities. On the long-distance cycle paths along the Ems, you can enjoy nature on extended bike tours. Papenburg with its old canals and ship replicas invites you to stroll around. The Meyer shipyard, where many a cruise giant sees the light of day, is world-famous. Also worth a visit are the East Frisian town of Leer with its picturesque old town, small shops and cosy tea rooms, and the historic Bourtange Fortress just over the Dutch border. Other worthwhile destinations include the Schloss Dankern amusement park, the Emslandring go-kart track (onroad/offroad) also in Dankern, or the Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen (NL).

Directly in the Seepark, the "Seestübchen" has a menu with international dishes. Everyone gets their money's worth here. The village of Walchum offers the most important shopping facilities at a short distance from the Seepark, including a local grocer, bakery, ATM or petrol station with a workshop. Even more shopping opportunities can be found in the larger surrounding villages of Dörpen and Lathen.

Cancellation terms:

The following agreements apply if you cancel your booking: If you cancel up to 45 days before the start of the trip, 10% is due, up to 31 days before, 50%, and from the 30th day onward or in case of non-arrival, 100% of the booked total services (excluding final cleaning) will be charged as a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be waived if the holiday property can be rented out to someone else for the booked period. We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.

Deceleration Pure

We spent 14 days in the House Auszeit by the lake.
We must say, it hits the point. The first days we only enjoyed the absolute wonderful peace and the wonderful, very well-kept, very clean house.
This house offers so much in terms of inventory, I couldn't spontaneously think of any item we missed in the 2 weeks. Everything was there, really everything. So that when you arrive on a weekend, you have everything until the Monday shopping.
The house has a top location. A few steps to the lake or to a very nice restaurant, the Seestübchen.
We were on vacation with our dog Paul, who enjoyed being able to run free there, as the property is fenced in such a way that even small dogs cannot find any gaps in the fence.
A small disadvantage is that dogs cannot go into the water. In the restaurant, they are welcome.
We will definitely come back.

Pure relaxation

"Pure relaxation"

Short holiday

We booked the house spontaneously to visit some Christmas markets in the area.
The Christmas market in Meppen was the most beautiful.

The house is very clean and comfortably furnished. Nothing is missing. As it was very cold
the pellet stove provided us with cosy warmth.
We received a friendly welcome from Mrs Bartnick and a friendly farewell on departure.
We met the nice Martens family in the summer and were able to visit the house in advance

Super house with a great garden.

We felt very comfortable in the holiday home. The garden with the many seating areas was simply great. You can go for extensive walks. We were also well taken care of and advised. Class accommodation in a great location

The house is as described and seen in the pictures, very clean and well-equipped; nothing is missing. We really like this house style. In the outdoor area, there are seating options around the entire house, so you can enjoy the sun from morning to night, or have some shade. To cool off, it's just a few steps to the clean water. A property manager, who lives in the complex, welcomed us very nicely and also checked in before our departure to see if everything was okay. is. Furthermore, she is always approachable in case of problems. The surroundings are also very suitable for cycling in our opinion.

All in all, we can only recommend the accommodation and will definitely go there again.

Time out by the lake - the title is the program.

The holiday home is very quiet and just a few meters from the swimming lake. The interior is very cozy and well-maintained. Everything you need for a great and relaxing vacation is here: beach chair, loungers, and a fenced garden for the dog.
We would especially like to mention the wonderful beds. We slept really well and long.
Thank you once again to the Martens family as landlords and also to Mrs. Bartnick, who looked after us on-site.

Our "Timeout by the Lake"

We spent a week in this lovingly furnished and well-equipped holiday home.

Everything was very clean - like new!

The beach chair was one of our highlights.

We enjoyed our time in the house just as much as the excursions in the surrounding area. There are truly beautiful destinations not far away.

Recommended house in a great holiday resort!

A very well-maintained house in a great location. The furnishings are perfect; nothing is missing. The house is modernly furnished, and we felt at home. The garden was a highlight for both our dog and our children. We especially enjoyed starting the day with a cup of coffee on the balcony while watching the sunrise. The area invites cycling and offers many worthwhile excursion destinations. We really enjoyed the week and it flew by.

Beautiful short vacation

We really enjoyed it; we have never experienced such a clean and comfortably furnished vacation home. The holiday park is also very clean, with a bathing lake right at the door, and the restaurant has very tasty food at reasonable prices.
Our grandson thinks it was a cool vacation.

Really a "timeout by the lake"

The location is absolutely quiet, and the view of the lake, especially in the morning, is simply wonderful. The house's amenities leave nothing to be desired. I can only highly recommend the "Time Out by the Lake." The only negative about this vacation was that it unfortunately went by much too quickly.

It doesn't get any better than this!

We go on holiday quite often, both package tours and individually, both abroad and in Germany. It was one of the best accommodations we have had so far.
