The picturesque Baltic Sea resort is located on the beautiful Mönchgut peninsula, on a headland jutting far into the sea, the Göhrener Höft. The sophisticated flair of the Baltic Sea resort of Göhren, situated on a terrace directly on the coast, offers the ideal setting for your dream holiday. Two golden-yellow and very clean sandy beaches, each around 6 kilometers long, numerous cafés, restaurants, and shopping opportunities, the lovingly restored and newly built villas in ornate spa architecture of the picturesque little town make the Baltic Sea resort of Göhren one of the most popular holiday destinations on the sunny island of Rügen. The completely traffic-calmed town is the ideal starting point for your beach holiday as well as for your excursions and hikes. Right outside the front door, the varied landscape of Mönchgut unfolds, offering the perfect backdrop for extensive discovery tours. Nestled in the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve, Mönchgut is considered by many to be the most beautiful part of the sunny island. Near the Amber Promenade is also the terminus of the Rasender Roland, the historic, steam-powered narrow-gauge railway of Rügen. Super holiday apartment
The booking of the holiday apartment went - despite a last-minute request on the weekend - quickly, friendly, and uncomplicated. The furnishings of the apartment offered everything needed for a vacation. The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Personally, I also liked the option to bring my own bed linen and towels or to order them upon request. The location of the accommodation is close to the beach, the Baltic Sea is partially visible, and the sound of the sea (with the window open) can be heard. The bakery, with a large selection (and super delicious rolls) is only a few minutes away. There is also the possibility to have breakfast or drink coffee on-site, which we did not take advantage of due to the very good kitchen facilities. The slightly hilly terrain and the beach invite for walks and are also fascinating in the snow. Unfortunately, we lacked the time (Friday evening to Sunday morning) to do more, but we will definitely change that on our next visit. Just a few kilometers away is Sellin, also a very worth-seeing Baltic Sea typical place with the famous pier. All in all, we were able to spend a very relaxed, restorative weekend that awaits repetition. The Baltic Sea is worth it even in winter, provided you choose - like we did - accommodation where you can really make yourself comfortable after nightfall. . . . .

Great apartment to feel comfortable!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. The apartment is modernly furnished, very well-kept, and nothing is missing! On the terrace, you have a nice view and can see the Baltic Sea in the distance. We will come back!

Much show, little substance.
We seniors spent 8 days in the beautiful, tastefully and modernly furnished apartment. Positive was the pleasant contact with the landlord, the information about the location and the island, and the effort to seek solutions to problems. BUT there are some points of criticism: No floor plan that provides knowledge about the layout and size of the apartment. Windowless, very narrow bathroom with less than 3 sqm, the tiny shower cubicle with just 74 cm shower tray requires the user to have acrobatic skills to reach their feet without bumping into anything. In the narrow, very small bedroom (approx. 6 sqm), there were only about 30 cm on the sides and 40 cm at the foot end to navigate around the 160 cm wide sleeping area. Lack of space in the narrow wardrobe (approx. 90 cm wide) for personal clothing brought on hangers, as the ones in the closet were firmly attached to the rod. Missing hanging options for clothing, there were only two small coat hooks. Bed linen and towels are usually provided free of charge in a 4-star holiday apartment; here, there was an additional charge of €40 on top of the daily price of €149. The scope of the "linen package" consisted merely of 1 (!) dish towel, bed linen for the double bed, 1 (! ) Shower and 1 (! ) normal-sized towel per person. The request to the landlord for an additional towel per person went unanswered.
One roll of single-ply toilet paper for 2 people for 8 days. The request to the caretaker service for another roll was ignored. No Baltic Sea view. No pool in the house.
Best price guarantee is not taken seriously by the landlord. Just before our final payment date, I accidentally found a daily rate on the landlord's homepage that was €10 lower for our travel period. After some back and forth, the remaining amount to be paid was reduced for us, but not to the extent it should have been according to the guarantee.

Schade dass Sie jetzt nach ihrem Urlaub eine solche Bewertung abgeben. Bereits bei der Buchung hatten Sie wegen das Preises für die Wohnung aus dem Jahr 2024 einen Rabatt von 10 Euro am Tag heraus gehandelt!
Auf der Seite von Ferienhausmiete steht nichts von einem Schwimmbad im Haus, es wird das Schwimmbad Ahoi erwähnt. Auf der Seite ist auch beschrieben, dass Sie von der Terrasse einen Blick über die Schafwiesen bis an die Ostsee haben und das ist auch so der Fall. Warum bleiben Sie denn nicht bei der Wahrheit?
Auf die vielen weiteren Beanstandungen Ihrerseits wegen Toilettenpapier, vier Handtüchern, die nicht reichen und einem für Sie zu kleinen 2,40 m hohen mal 90 cm breiten Kleiderschrank mit insgesamt 20 fest installierten einheitlichen Kleiderbügeln etc. möchte ich nicht weiter eingehen. Das spricht für sich. In unseren beiden Gesprächen während ihres Aufenthalte bezeichneten Sie die Wohnung noch als schön… wie kam es jetzt zu ihrem Sinneswandel?
