This detached, single-storey chalet is found in the wooded Landgoed Het Grote Zand holiday park, 1.5 km from the small town of Hooghalen. The lively provincial capital, Assen, is 11 km away.
The comfortably furnished chalet has a living room with TV and an open-plan kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. There are two bedrooms. One has two single box spring beds that can be set up as double beds and the other has two single beds or a bunk bed. In the bathroom, you'll have a shower and toilet at your disposal.
Surrounding the chalet is a garden with a terrace and garden furniture. There's enough space to park one car outside the chalet.
At holiday park Landgoed Het Grote Zand, various holiday homes and chalets can be booked for four to twelve people.

The beautiful, 35 hectare Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the province of Drenthe.
It is in a very convenient position. The park has attractive, new bungalows and is on the edge of a protected nature reserve. It is 500 metres from the village of Hooghalen. You can enjoy day trips, walks and cycle trips in the surrounding countryside. The attractive main building has various facilities including a reception area, a shop, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish Bath and solarium. There is a pleasant 'Brown Café' and a snack bar. You can enjoy an à la carte restaurant in the evenings. The park's recreation team organises a number of activities during the holiday season. Children can enjoy treasure hunts, children's bingo and sports tournaments. The holiday park has plenty of playground equipment. If you enjoy cycling you will love it here. The Hooghalen countryside consists of extensive woods, fields and moor lands. Youll find four nature reserves in the immediate area. These are Het Grote Zand, Het Witte Zand, Het Heuvinger Zand and Het Noorder & Hijkerveld. Tens of kilometres of cycling paths lead you through beautiful Forestry Commission lands.
The Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the heart of Drente and is ideally positioned for visiting many places of interest. The city of Assen is less then ten kilometres away. You can enjoy shopping, the Traffic Adventure Park (Verkeerspark) and the Drentse Museum there. The Noorder Zoo in Emmen is nearby and the historic city of Groningen is well worth a visit. This beautiful holiday park is highly recommended for young families, seniors and all who enjoy beautiful scenery. The park's excellent position combined with its many facilities are the perfect combination for an enjoyable holiday.
This unique country estate is in a convenient position in the beautiful province of Drenthe. The estate is surrounded by delightful nature reserves.
A number of holiday home facilities may be booked for a 27,50 preference cost. These facilities are not standard. They include a second parking space by the accommodation, a bath, a combination microwave oven, DVD player, infra-red sauna, internet, stove and dishwasher. Please contact our Customer Contact Centre regarding these options.
From November 6, 2018 through April 1, 2019, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during school holidays.
For group bookings in the 8 - 12 person accommodations with guests aged up to and including 24 years, we require a deposit of € 300. ID card / passport / driver's license may be requested at check-in.

Nice quiet park where they are (or have been) quite busy with innovations. Almost all chalets look very good. Roads have recently been renewed and new playground equipment everywhere. Hooghalen with a small supermarket 3 minutes by bike from the park. Swimming pool is fine and catering was also fine. It's just a pity that in the high season (beginning of August) these were sometimes closed at 5 p.m. Our chalet was fully equipped and was (at first sight) clean. Later we saw some cobwebs and here and there some long lying dust. Overall had a good stay and would definitely come back.

On arrival pleasant welcome. Accommodation was also good thanks to the beds that were very soft and bad. I.v.m. back complaints at reception asked for something to do as this was not enough for 2 weeks. Eventually 2 shelves under the mattress we got sung with, but especially my wife with a lot of backache turned home. In addition, cleaning is also down arrow. Thick layer of dust under the beds, sticky handles kitchen cabinets and more importantly a nasty toilet with a lot of stoppage in the jar and urine / stool spots around the seat hinges.

Our vacation started with nice weather and then only one day of rain. The cottage was larger than we expected, so do quite well with 4 people. And everything was over and there. The location of the cottage was super. Nestling in beautiful surroundings. We walked a lot in nature, but also in Assen. The walking tour of Assen is a must for everyone.
