Enjoy a relaxing holiday in our holiday home De Ekster located at the edge of the woods. The holiday home is located in Zwiggelte next to Westerbork a short distance from Assen and close to the cities of Groningen and Emmen.
The house is suitable for 4 persons with 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and has a large garden around the house. Downstairs is a lovely bright living room with separate dining area, modern open-plan kitchen and new bathroom.
Ground floor
There is a living room with a fireplace, which brings atmosphere and warmth on cold dark days. From the couch you can overlook the garden or watch a film together on the smart TV. In the living room is the dining table with a view of the back garden and the forest. Behind the living room is the open kitchen with induction hob, extractor fan, combination microwave oven with oven functions, dishwasher, designer fridge freezer, kettle, Nespresso and filter coffee maker. The kitchen is equipped with numerous amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including crockery, cutlery and pans.
The modern bathroom is located at the back of the house with a cantilevered toilet, washbasin cabinet with mirror, walk-in shower with rain shower and towel radiator. For your convenience, there is a hairdryer and towels in the bathroom.
1st floor
On the 1st floor, there are 2 bedrooms and a storage room with chest of drawers and the technical installations.
Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom with 2 box-spring beds that can be placed next to or separately from each other with 2 individually controlled bedside lamps. There is an open wardrobe and blackout window coverings.
Bedroom 2 has 2 separately placed box-spring beds and a small wardrobe. This room also has blackout window coverings. So you can enjoy a good night's sleep. Upon arrival, the beds are made.
Extra amenities
A high chair, (folding) cot and changing table are available in the house.
During your stay, you can use the swimming pool, playgrounds and other facilities at Het Hart van Drenthe recreation park.

The holiday home is located in Zwiggelte on the recreation park Het Hart van Drenthe near Westerbork and near Assen.
The cottage is located at the edge of the woods in a place where you can completely unwind, but in the immediate vicinity there are many active opportunities for nature lovers, but also plenty of museums to enjoy and learn about art, history and culture. By bicycle, motorbike and car, you can enjoy wonderful routes and while walking there are also many routes to really enjoy the outdoors.
