This luxurious, detached holiday home is located on the Landgoed Het Grote Zand holiday park.
The holiday home is suitable for eight people. The spacious living room has a TV and DVD player. The open kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and microwave oven. On the ground floor there is also a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with a bubble bath and traditional sauna and a separate toilet. On the first floor there are another three bedrooms, each one with two single beds. There is also a second bathroom with a sun shower, as well as a separate toilet.
All the beds are 1-person box-spring beds, either pushed together to make a double bed, or used separately in a twin-room setup. There is a spacious garden with a (covered) terrace and garden furniture (including a lounge set). There is parking for two cars at the holiday home.
An excellent accommodation for a wonderfully relaxing stay at Landgoed Het Grote Zand.

The beautiful, 35 hectare Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the province of Drenthe.
It is in a very convenient position. The park has attractive, new bungalows and is on the edge of a protected nature reserve. It is 500 metres from the village of Hooghalen. You can enjoy day trips, walks and cycle trips in the surrounding countryside. The attractive main building has various facilities including a reception area, a shop, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish Bath and solarium. There is a pleasant 'Brown Café' and a snack bar. You can enjoy an à la carte restaurant in the evenings. The park's recreation team organises a number of activities during the holiday season. Children can enjoy treasure hunts, children's bingo and sports tournaments. The holiday park has plenty of playground equipment. If you enjoy cycling you will love it here. The Hooghalen countryside consists of extensive woods, fields and moor lands. Youll find four nature reserves in the immediate area. These are Het Grote Zand, Het Witte Zand, Het Heuvinger Zand and Het Noorder & Hijkerveld. Tens of kilometres of cycling paths lead you through beautiful Forestry Commission lands.
The Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the heart of Drente and is ideally positioned for visiting many places of interest. The city of Assen is less then ten kilometres away. You can enjoy shopping, the Traffic Adventure Park (Verkeerspark) and the Drentse Museum there. The Noorder Zoo in Emmen is nearby and the historic city of Groningen is well worth a visit. This beautiful holiday park is highly recommended for young families, seniors and all who enjoy beautiful scenery. The park's excellent position combined with its many facilities are the perfect combination for an enjoyable holiday.
This unique country estate is in a convenient position in the beautiful province of Drenthe. The estate is surrounded by delightful nature reserves.
A number of holiday home facilities may be booked for a 27,50 preference cost. These facilities are not standard. They include a second parking space by the accommodation, a bath, a combination microwave oven, DVD player, infra-red sauna, internet, stove and dishwasher. Please contact our Customer Contact Centre regarding these options.
From November 6, 2018 through April 1, 2019, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during school holidays.
For group bookings in the 8 - 12 person accommodations with guests aged up to and including 24 years, we require a deposit of € 300. ID card / passport / driver's license may be requested at check-in.

The house in Het Groote sand is fine, nothing to complain about.
Belvilla's service is super terrible. They are unreachable by telephone, do not answer emails and do not keep their WhatsApp promises. When things go well, things go well. If not, you're out of luck and you'll have to figure it out yourself. Belvillan does NOTHING.

Nice spacious house with all the trimmings to be able to stay inside and outside. Lovely quiet park in the middle of the forest, where you can enjoy walking. Unfortunately, pans and shower and stairs were not clean on arrival, but when reporting, they were on the doorstep with 5 minutes to solve this. Assen is a pleasant city to do this for shopping, eating and drinking on terraces. We're halfway there, so enjoy some more.

April 2021 booked for a midweek. Super nice and clean house. The only downsides are the poor range and and the cutlery tray is a bit scanty, an opener and a potato peeler are part of the basic equipment. Furthermore, had a wonderful luxury stay with beautiful nature nearby.

Beautifully situated park with nice facilities. Small but nice and accessible indoor pool. You can get snacks, but it takes a long time .. and it is also expensive. Nice playgrounds, with something for all ages. Nice bouncy castle. Renting a bicycle is very expensive (electric € 25, per day!). In the village it costs €6 less. What really bothered me was the dinginess of the cottage where we stayed. The oven and microwave were downright filthy. The doors stuck around the door handles. The sanitary facilities were clean. If you put something on the kitchen cupboards, it would stick by itself. The windowsills were dusty and sticky. The mattresses were lumpy and saggy. The outdoor furniture was of good quality and sat well. This also applied to the sitting area and dining area. The downstairs shower floor slopes to the wrong side causing a water ballet. In the sauna there was still a remnant of dirty water in the water bucket. We had a nice week, but the hygiene is very much in need of improvement...

Stains on the floor, filthy carpet, smelly and greasy extractor hood, rubbish under the sofa, sewage smell in the bathroom, dirty bath, etc., etc. Not just one bad cleaning. Cleaning company has come to remedy the worst complaints. A very bad experience in corona time!

Cleaning the accommodation properly (give the employees more time for this) remains a problem. And regarding the frequent use of equipment by many different tenants, better quality equipment should be built into your homes. The rental income (price versus quality) is skewed and in your favor, so invest in those houses!

The house itself was good apart from the brief kitchen with regard to crockery / cutlery and the lack of felt pads under the seats, which made it noisy. The location of the houses offered insufficient privacy, and the occupation times of the reception were also unclear. The waste collection was insufficient because some containers were closed.
