This detached bungalow is found in the wooded holiday park Landgoed Het Grote Zand, 1.5 km from the little village centre of Hooghalen. The lively provincial capital, Assen, is 11 km away.
The bungalow is comfortable and fully furnished and consists of two floors. On the ground floor, you'll find a living room with TV and an open plan kitchen including a combination microwave and dishwasher. There's also a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and separate toilet (or one in the bathroom). The first floor has two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. All the beds are single box-spring beds, either pushed together to make a double bed or used separately in a twin-room setup.
Outside you'll enjoy a garden with terrace and garden furniture. The bungalow has standard parking space for one car.
Various holiday homes for four to twelve people are available for rent at the Landgoed Het Grote Zand holiday park.

The beautiful, 35 hectare Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the province of Drenthe.
It is in a very convenient position. The park has attractive, new bungalows and is on the edge of a protected nature reserve. It is 500 metres from the village of Hooghalen. You can enjoy day trips, walks and cycle trips in the surrounding countryside. The attractive main building has various facilities including a reception area, a shop, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish Bath and solarium. There is a pleasant 'Brown Café' and a snack bar. You can enjoy an à la carte restaurant in the evenings. The park's recreation team organises a number of activities during the holiday season. Children can enjoy treasure hunts, children's bingo and sports tournaments. The holiday park has plenty of playground equipment. If you enjoy cycling you will love it here. The Hooghalen countryside consists of extensive woods, fields and moor lands. Youll find four nature reserves in the immediate area. These are Het Grote Zand, Het Witte Zand, Het Heuvinger Zand and Het Noorder & Hijkerveld. Tens of kilometres of cycling paths lead you through beautiful Forestry Commission lands.
The Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the heart of Drente and is ideally positioned for visiting many places of interest. The city of Assen is less then ten kilometres away. You can enjoy shopping, the Traffic Adventure Park (Verkeerspark) and the Drentse Museum there. The Noorder Zoo in Emmen is nearby and the historic city of Groningen is well worth a visit. This beautiful holiday park is highly recommended for young families, seniors and all who enjoy beautiful scenery. The park's excellent position combined with its many facilities are the perfect combination for an enjoyable holiday.
This unique country estate is in a convenient position in the beautiful province of Drenthe. The estate is surrounded by delightful nature reserves.
A number of holiday home facilities may be booked for a 27,50 preference cost. These facilities are not standard. They include a second parking space by the accommodation, a bath, a combination microwave oven, DVD player, infra-red sauna, internet, stove and dishwasher. Please contact our Customer Contact Centre regarding these options.
From November 6, 2018 through April 1, 2019, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during school holidays.
For group bookings in the 8 - 12 person accommodations with guests aged up to and including 24 years, we require a deposit of € 300. ID card / passport / driver's license may be requested at check-in.

House is beautiful unfortunately many vermin, spiders etc. Once everything really good vacuuming would do wonders. environment beautiful. Park looks neat. however pool, restaurant and reception close very early. A dip after dinner is not possible, children disappointed and so is mother. Neighbors of house 58 are busy tidying up their own garden. This goes with a lot of noise from his leaf blower, which is mainly towards garden 58. So his garden is neat, ours full of his garden waste, a bit of a shame :/

We have one week in a 6 person cottage at the edge. We had a wonderful holiday, despite the weather. We were there with 2 adults, 2 children (14 and 17) and two dogs. We walked delicious. The cottage was well cleaned and fully complete. Prima sofas and comfortable chairs. The cottage was very spacious and had two floors and two bathrooms, all very neat. The beds are fine, not sagging, slightly on the firm side. We suffered from some ants but immediately someone came to fix it. Very friendly staff. One small point there was only one frying pan and no vleesmes.Voor adolescents is on the park not much to do but in the vicinity there is enough entertainment. Assen is a nice place and Westerbork is a must. I would also recommend AA friends this park.

Arrival well arranged, accommodation we come to our holiday home and woow what a nice house but all the way we found the house very dirty many spiders webs very dirty tile floor (only fabric made free) sofa there are very big white spots on that They wished to remove a paper handkerchief so that paper was still there. (Ba ba) was cleaned as quickly as possible. Then allow to dry and flatter a flap to sit up or touch. Windows mirrors dirty sweeps, stained on the bathroom only, and toilet was pretty clean. Front door also full of spiders webs and dirty spots, dirty fingers on it. Sorry for such a beautiful holiday home. We ourselves are vacuuming and all spiders and webs gone away so as below as above in bedrooms. We do not know what a floor mop is so dirty. But when we left, the cleaners were in charge of a floor wiper, on the bike and beyond. And then you have to pay for cleaning ???. Fortunately, we were not only in the park complaining about at the front desk, we heard more people complaining about their dirty house.

The sun lay terms what ongunstig.Wij expected Senseo, which was not there, but that was opgelost.Ook we expected a salvage our precious bikes, which was lacking in our house, so the bikes stood in the room ... Our house was near an exit path, you walked into the forest, where the dog was loose, so that was daily genieten.Eenmaal we made the "tray" in the restaurant with an excellent meal good meat, lots of vegetables, sauces and stokbrood.Zeker a aanrader.In the village Hooghalen Bakery Fleddérus is worth a visit. More than just a bakery.

Super hit with the grandiose, beautiful weather we. (Which is lucky) We have three wonderful days cycling on picturesque trails in a wooded area. And every day the weather was pleasant to come home to our fine bungalow number 80! In Groningen 2 visited museums and shopped, what is was also nice. As you read, we were thick and very happy with our week at The Great Sand in Hooghalen.

The accommodation was fine. The cottage is listed as 4 stars. As yet I venture to doubt. The furnishing met, the TV was fortunately a normal size and a dishwasher was present. The rest of the apparatus was basic. All other things like oven and wifi should be booked. For a 4 star bungalow are some of the extra "s standard expected. I would also classify as a beautiful bungalow bungalow 3 stars instead of 4 sterren.Het park was (after the autumn) very quiet and there was cared for.

We have one week in a 6 person cottage at the edge. We had a wonderful holiday, despite the weather. We were there with 2 adults, 2 children (14 and 17) and two dogs. We walked delicious. The cottage was well cleaned and fully complete. Prima sofas and comfortable chairs. The cottage was very spacious and had two floors and two bathrooms, all very neat. The beds are fine, not sagging, slightly on the firm side. We suffered from some ants but immediately someone came to fix it. Very friendly staff. One small point there was only one frying pan and no vleesmes.Voor adolescents is on the park not much to do but in the vicinity there is enough entertainment. Assen is a nice place and Westerbork is a must. I would also recommend AA friends this park.

This holiday park offers you everything you want. Reception was good despite the fact that everyone wanted his key at the same time. The restaurant is very good and friendly of serving. There is plenty to do in the area. Hunebed museum, good food at the Arms of Scotland etc etc. Beautiful holiday homes and ours looked lovely at the edge of the woods. Worth a second time. Overall, it is recommended.

Arrival well arranged, accommodation we come to our holiday home and woow what a nice house but all the way we found the house very dirty many spiders webs very dirty tile floor (only fabric made free) sofa there are very big white spots on that They wished to remove a paper handkerchief so that paper was still there. (Ba ba) was cleaned as quickly as possible. Then allow to dry and flatter a flap to sit up or touch. Windows mirrors dirty sweeps, stained on the bathroom only, and toilet was pretty clean. Front door also full of spiders webs and dirty spots, dirty fingers on it. Sorry for such a beautiful holiday home. We ourselves are vacuuming and all spiders and webs gone away so as below as above in bedrooms. We do not know what a floor mop is so dirty. But when we left, the cleaners were in charge of a floor wiper, on the bike and beyond. And then you have to pay for cleaning ???. Fortunately, we were not only in the park complaining about at the front desk, we heard more people complaining about their dirty house.

Super hit with the grandiose, beautiful weather we. (Which is lucky) We have three wonderful days cycling on picturesque trails in a wooded area. And every day the weather was pleasant to come home to our fine bungalow number 80! In Groningen 2 visited museums and shopped, what is was also nice. As you read, we were thick and very happy with our week at The Great Sand in Hooghalen.

The house was big and beautiful. The sun lay terms what ongunstig.Wij expected Senseo, which was not there, but that was opgelost.Ook we expected a salvage our precious bikes, which was lacking in our house, so the bikes stood in the room ... Our house was near an exit path, you walked into the forest, where the dog was loose, so that was daily genieten.Eenmaal we made the "tray" in the restaurant with an excellent meal good meat, lots of vegetables, sauces and stokbrood.Zeker a aanrader.In the village Hooghalen Bakery Fleddérus is worth a visit. More than just a bakery.

Arrival was good, the reception was friendly you ontvangen.Huisje was not clean, the herbs were still on the cooking appliance, first round pans tableware and cutlery in the dishwasher, the cobwebs everywhere weghalenHet was just the shower broken vies.Slang (it was repaired quickly) No closet space in bedrooms. It is not a house that you could book a second time.

We enjoyed the beautiful and well-kept holiday park with 2 vw. 2 children and 2 honden.Ruime, neat houses equipped with all luxurious interior. Park is quiet but there are activities for children and a (indoor) paddling pool. The park is a good base for various excursions. From out of the park you walk into the woods for a walk (with the dogs)

Upon arrival at the holiday home, it appeared that it had not been cleaned at all. After contacting reception 3 times, someone finally came and we were offered a cup of coffee for waiting. The location of the park is beautiful, you can walk straight into the forest. Unfortunately, not everyone adheres to the speed and direction.

The arrival was without complications. The staff was very friendly and always tried to explain everything in my broken English. The park is very well located and offers all around very beautiful sights, ideal for cycling and hiking, only the offers for children were a bit poor. There are small opportunities to play everywhere, but they are always the same, and kept very small, the playground at the entrance Jungle Town was great! The pool is quite small, but the ki have had great fun there and it was also pretty clean. The accommodation was spacious, and clean. The decor was a bit old-fashioned! Nevertheless, everything was available and you could not complain on the whole. We would without hesitation again vacation here.

From 3 pm you can in the cottage. This park is kept strictly on time, even if you arrive at 2.45 pm with tired toddlers while the cleaners were already gone. The house is very spacious, protected with beautiful trees. Great beds. Fairly clean. Outdated shower. Complete kitchen with combi microwave and gas stove. Little playground equipment for the children in the entire park. Setting is beautiful!

Got a key at 3 pm. Only one in total which we found little, since we had rented the house with three couples and therefore always had to meet when we left separately. Basic accommodation without too much luxury for the price they paid. Environment was great for walkers and cyclists but remote if you want to drive to shops or villages by car

We have almost a week spent in a 6 person house. Well maintained, redleijk often require extensive inventory (unfortunately no oven, radio, everything else, including dishwasher!). The house was spacious and perfect for 6 people.Nice at the edge of the forest and a small pool made it a great vacation spot!

The accommodation was fine. The cottage is listed as 4 stars. As yet I venture to doubt. The furnishing met, the TV was fortunately a normal size and a dishwasher was present. The rest of the apparatus was basic. All other things like oven and wifi should be booked. For a 4 star bungalow are some of the extra "s standard expected. I would also classify as a beautiful bungalow bungalow 3 stars instead of 4 sterren.Het park was (after the autumn) very quiet and there was cared for.

WE HAVE (3 + 50 + 12 AND BOY DOG) HAD A LOVELY HOLIDAY. KIND LADIES AT THE RECEPTION TO CONSIDER MEED A LIMITED BIKE RIDE. THE FRONT PART OF THE PARK IS WONDERFUL AANGELEGD.HET REAR PART WE FIND AND ATMOSPHERE OF CHARGE We wonder, IF YOU BECAUSE YOU ALSO CAN BE PLACED. AS WE DO NOT KNOW THE PARK IN ADVANCE, A VERY BIG DIFFERENCE WITH THE FRONT OF THE PARK!

our arrival was at 16.30 and could be right after checking in to our house, the space was fine, but our windows were really dirty even with fly poo, and that is not so, n clean impression.also under the beds it was not clean, but otherwise our week went well and we cycled a lot. the bike routes were a bit disappointing, except for the route we had bought at the counter, which was really nice.

House is beautiful unfortunately many vermin, spiders etc. Once everything really good vacuuming would do wonders. environment beautiful. Park looks neat. however pool, restaurant and reception close very early. A dip after dinner is not possible, children disappointed and so is mother. Neighbors of house 58 are busy tidying up their own garden. This goes with a lot of noise from his leaf blower, which is mainly towards garden 58. So his garden is neat, ours full of his garden waste, a bit of a shame :/

4 persons, including 1 in wheelchair, and two small dogs had a wonderful quiet midweek. We definitely go back again, because we have not yet seen all there is to do in the neighborhood.

Accomodation and environment were top notch. On arrival it was a shame we had to pay for our bedding. We had received emails that you could also take this with you, in order to avoid costs. This turned out not to be the case on arrival.

We, husband wife and three children had a wonderful holiday. Enjoyed the area, the park and the huisje.We had a nice house with dishwasher, Senseo and a washing machine (not used) and free WiFi although the connection was not super. A fairly central park in Drenthe beautiful bike and walking trails. Nice, clean and well maintained park. Worth repeating.

Upon arrival everything was done in order, paperwork was fine. Accommodation was good and tidy and the area was nice for cycling and walking, in other words a good holiday.
