This new (2018), detached, ground-floor chalet is located in Holiday Park Boomhiemke, not far from the sea.
The living room features a separate dining area and in the kitchen you'll find a microwave and a dishwasher. There are two bedrooms with two single beds each boxspring beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. The bathroom features a shower and toilet.
Outside, you'll find a veranda with garden furniture. There is parking space for one car.

Boomhiemke holiday park is a midsize holiday park with various facilities. It is located in one of the most beautiful spots on Ameland at the foot of the Hollumer dunes and adjacent to the Jan Roepesheide nature preserve. Here you are free to enjoy a pristine natural setting that offers ultimate rest and relaxation. The good location close to the beach makes Boomhiemke a popular holiday destination.
The park has more than enough to experience for visitors of all ages. There is a bowling alley, a swimming pool, a mini-golf course, various playgrounds and a wellness centre. A recreation team is available during school holidays. They organise activities that you can take part in free of charge. And there is also plenty to see and do beyond the park itself. You can explore the Jan Roepesheide nature preserve and of course the beach. Nearby villages, such as Hollum with its charming little shops, restaurants and cafes, are well worth a visit, as are the museums.
Ameland is a relatively small island, so it's ideal for exploring by bicycle. You can simply hire bikes at the park, or bring your own bikes along. Ameland holiday park: a great holiday destination for the whole family, where you can really unwind and experience ultimate relaxation!
Boomhiemke holiday park on Ameland is a charming midsize holiday park with a variety of facilities for all ages. There is a swimming pool, a wellness centre and various playgrounds. The location by a nature preserve and natural beach with the sea just a stone's throw away makes Boomhiemke a great holiday destination for all ages

The apartment wasn"t clean. Especially the pillows on the couch as well as the couch table (legs) were dirty. I addressed this immediately but the issue wasn"t solved during our stay.

Reception was great, and the surroundings are naturally beautiful on the island. The accommodation was neat and clean. It became very hot inside very quickly, it was on these days even though it was only around 20 - 22 degrees outside, in the afternoon it was quickly 28 - 29 degrees. What will it be like when outside is 30 degrees or more?

The couch was filthy! Very dirty. You couldn't sit on it normally. You had to pay for a parasol. Is this supposed to be present in such a house? There were no potholders present. It was very hot in the house. Perhaps handy to take a fan with you. And the cottage just wasn't clean

Before the holiday still called about bed linen and additional costs. Once checked in yet double costs for bed linen (eur 55.80), final cleaning (eur 77.50), booking costs and damage insurance. Had already paid that to Belvilla (screenshot made of it even) but had to pay again at the counter. Would like this back. In short: no cost specification makes uncertainty and double payments possible. Roompot (Conny Brouwer mail reception.boomhiemke@roompot.nl) acknowledges this but had to collect the extra payment otherwise we could not enter it. She advises to ask Belvilla back. Hereby. A nasty start. Please respond.

We had a wonderful holiday on Ameland. The beach chalet was clean and spacious enough. We were with our 8 month old son. Small drawback was that it is noisy. Furthermore, a nice park and there is plenty to do, especially for children. Very nice area for walking and cycling. Friendly villages for a snack and drink.

In advance there was a lack of clarity about the payment, we suddenly had to pay 250 euros more (in our opinion). There was no clear communication about this, but it was in the fine print. When we were on our way we got a call. We could be in the house earlier than 4 pm. Super fun of course, but at the reception it was said that it was not possible. After consultation it was still possible, with the risk that our house would not be completely clean. Fortunately that was not the case, only the cot that we had reserved was not there, we had to pick it up ourselves. Not so handy with a tired child. Furthermore, the house was fairly clean. It's a nice park, in a nice location. In general it is very clean. However, the houses are so close together that you have little privacy and can hear each other well. The houses are very noisy anyway, the walls seem to be made of paper. The houses are modern furnished and everything works. For us this is the last time we will sit in such a park.

We were the first tenants of the house. The cottage was very nice, but it had gone wrong. First, there was no modem present. It has been arranged that we could use another person's WiFi. Secondly, there was no bar in the wardrobe. This is also solved. Thirdly the cottage was not cleaned properly. There was still stool in the toilet, the drawers in the kitchen were not clean, cobwebs. We were in the house around 7 pm. By the time we had installed it, it would have been 8 p.m. We were told that someone would be present at the reception until 8 p.m. So we cleaned ourselves. The next day we reported that the cottage was not clean. We were told that we should have called that the previous evening. Bit difficult if nobody is present. A counting number for emergency we think it is exaggerated. We have to pay € 77.50 for cleaning, but we find a house that is not clean and then we are more or less blamed for not calling. We had expected at least a contribution towards the cleaning costs. This is very disappointing. We enjoyed the rest and it is a beautiful holiday park.

On arrival it was nice that we could go directly to the house. Not through the reception first. The accommodation looked neat and still looks fairly new. The surroundings were beautiful and the park is in a beautiful location. Everything you need can be found in the park or just outside the park in Hollum. However, a few negatives. There was not a good tidy up. There was still a towel in front of the door, the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied, there were still clothes labels on the bed, the cutlery is a bit of a mixed bag and not complete and the glasses and cups were not clean. the fact that our house was the only one without a wooden roof / pergola (which is in the picture) and therefore could not create shade. Unfortunately, the shed could not be used. This was for private use. The houses were a bit closer together than expected. In the photo there seems to be more space between the houses, but this was no problem for us. All in all, we really enjoyed our holiday on Ameland.

If you love nature, this is the right place for you. You can enjoy the peace and quiet in the dunes and go on beautiful hikes. The beach is very natural and spacious. The accommodation has everything you need. Clean, modern and spacious. The city of Hollum is close and invites you to stroll.

The house was difficult to reach with a pram. You can't get it alone on the terrace. Nice wooden scaffolding on the veranda but I miss a cloth or umbrella to have shade.

A few things are missing in the accommodation, but you can get what you miss at the reception against a deposit. Be careful not to pay the deposit in cash, because you will not get it back! There is a lady at the reception and I was not very impressed by that. She thinks she owns the Roompot herself and is very condescending with other staff. Very annoying when you are eating there.

Fair to good. The cottage is fully equipped, a washing machine is welcome as an addition. The cleaning, which is quite pricey, leaves something to be desired here and there because the French battle seems to have been worked. The weather is unfortunately not cooperating, gray skies for days.

When we arrived with the code it was smooth and good. But when we entered the accommodation the refrigerator was defrosted. All the water was distributed in the refrigerator. The stove was swam with grease. The sofa was covered with white long hair from whoever. The beds They weren't comfortable to sleep either. The bed linen doesn't fit on the beds, everything is much too big.

Apartment was poorly cleaned, when I came to the reception about this (after waiting 2 days for an answer from general contact Roompot) they told me that I was much too late in a rude and not customer-friendly way. You pay 75 euros for final cleaning, so you expect something. Beds are small but slept fine, park has a nice location

Tasteful, comfortable chalet, fully equipped, in a beautiful location. However, chalets are too close together, which can cause nuisance, especially in warm weather. The large-scale and new-build neighborhood-like appearance evokes a rather uncomfortable and impersonal atmosphere.

Nice house, everything is there and beautiful decor. We found the single beds a bit less, we would have preferred a double bed. As a result, you slept a little less, because you are more alert not to fall out of bed. Otherwise it would have been the full 5 stars as far as we are concerned. Still worth repeating!
