The resort is great and you are very fast in Amsterdam and other great points. It is ideal for children. There are good opportunities to play and even if it rains (we were lucky with the weather) the little one is not bored. We were traveling with dog, there are always enough dog bags and the possibilities for a walk are also ideal. The only drawback are the many mosquitoes. Our house looked right at the time of arrival (the walls are logically decorated with broken mosquitoes), as soon as you open the door, the pests come in masses. But with a little care you can control that. Doors to leave and the windows after airing also. Maybe the owners should think about mosquito screens here. That would be an absolute help and would significantly increase the quality of the holiday. From time to time one or more rats swam through the water. That was not bad, here and there but they came to the property and have licked at the neighbors on the grill (here you should then make sure not to leave any leftovers outside. The check in was quick and smooth. The area is very nice. However, you have to reckon with happy people. The mosquito plague is very disturbing. Nothing helped, no mosquito plug and no autan. Unfortunately, you always have to go to the car for shopping. Out of season, it is rather boring but for peace seekers very convenient if the direct neighbors do not party right all night. We had a dog that we had to leave at the house unfortunately always leash because all gardens are kept open. Umbrella you have to borrow for a deposit of 50 euros. This deposit must be paid in cash and will only be refunded with the house deposit. Rolls in the mini market are very expensive as well as all other stuff in this very small store too !! The small swimming pool is great for families with toddlers. On the whole it was very relaxing.

We, 7 adults, 1 toddler and 1 dog were at Easter 2019 at the resort Poort van Amsterdam, house no. 509. On arrival we were allowed to wait 2 hours, as the house should still be cleaned. Unfortunately, after we received the keys, we realized that the cleaning of the house had still not been done. We did not experience such a filthy, dirty condition on any of our other holidays. Approximately Twenty minutes after moving in, the cleaning squad, who did not speak any international language, came in and smeared the dirt in the house in 20 minutes instead of cleaning it up. After that we had to clean for 2 hours and rinse all the dishes. The fridge was much too small for the number of people and in addition, the side fans were broken and therefore unusable. The entire stay smelled in the hallway from the supply cabinet to faeces. Actually, a nice house, but unfortunately, due to lack of care and maintenance, completely run down.

Correct and friendly reception. After entrance in the bungalow, we noticed a number of small minuses including 1 roller blind in kitchen was broken, hung crooked (broken rope broken) and the microwave oven did not function the microwave. This was reported at reception, after which a separate microwave was immediately delivered, which later, when we had not been present, would be taken away again, without notifying us about it. When we reported this by telephone to the now closed reception, we got the answer that we had to go to the restaurant to have our meal warmed up there! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The next day the mobile / separate microwave was brought back again but it could not be explained why it had been removed without notice. A RARE AND FOREIGN SITUATION when you find out that someone has been in your house without notice, where everything was open and exposed. Also the heating functioned insufficiently (it was constantly cold in the house). No information about central heating boiler in information folder. Even to the C.V. boiler looking. When we arrived at the boiler, there were some papers on the ground beneath the dust and building waste that looked like an information book. Was too dirty to take hold of. This also not done. Was there since that since the boiler was installed since the completion of the bungalow. Incidentally, it was a beautiful house, which I certainly, if everything would have functioned properly, would have been appreciated as fantastic. Why not pay more attention to maintenance and defects to the house in order to achieve a more pleasant reception / stay for the new tenant. When we arrived, we were thrilled! The whole area was even more beautiful than the pictures on the internet. Fortunately for us, the weather was perfect too, a perfect start to the holiday. Reception was great - fast, uncomplicated, friendly. The houses are all new and modern. For us at first glance everything was great, but on closer look everything was a bit different the big problem are the many spiders and insects. Really many! I had read it before in other reviews and frankly I thought that people were exaggerating. It can not be that much. Oh but! They are everywhere!!!!!! All over. Not only in the house / terrace. Also the playgrounds, both outside and the indoor playground, everything full of spiders. For me with a phobia, it was like a survival training. Partly there were bars in the windows, the fish came through anyway. On the last night we wanted to treat ourselves and went to the restaurant, apart from the horrendous prices (which are not even in the map, you order luckily because it would be embarrassing at every court first to ask what it costs) it was impossible to sit outside. There, too, the snails crawled everywhere. At the beach umbrella, in the hedge behind us, at the bottom of the table. When they started to "attack" the stroller I finally had to leave. I was glad when the departure day finally arrived. Very bad! Great park with perfect location, but the spider problem is unfortunately not under control, that has spoiled everything. The swimming pool was unfortunately not very clean. Too much chlorine, dirt, and the water was not clear but milky .... the beach - well. Does not invite you to swim. For the kids to dig in the sand ok, even for sunbathing. But there is still need for action, so it is beautiful.

Beautiful house with four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom! Steps at the front door, back door very clumsy. The downstairs bedroom was missing the step, so you fell 50 cm down.Temperature on arrival was 13 degrees! Two hours later 14 degrees. It couldn't get hot! After 1.5 days the thermostat turned out to be defective! When this was replaced it finally became comfortable, but half of our stay was now over! Friendly employees at the park!

Nice atmospheric holiday village setting and a very spacious and well-appointed villa. Like the proximity to Marken and Monnickendam: good cycling through polders and to small villages and towns. The site does have some work going with expansion and dike reinforcement. The only negative has been the limited opening times of the on site grocery and the full closure of the restaurant. I suspect these are off-season measures?

Upon arrival our house was wonderfully warm, tastefully decorated and clean. We sometimes regretted having appointments outside the door, so it felt cozy in the house. The facilities such as the trendy restaurant and swimming pool with sauna were also very nice. And the surroundings of Uitdam with impressive dikes and birds impressive. We had to wait four hours in the heat with a sick child and a dog because the house was not ready yet. We got a few drink coupons. In the house it was very hot because there are only curtains and there was no air conditioning .... There was noise pollution and the towel packages were missing. The location and nature around the facility are great. The offer for the children is also wonderful. However, the cottage is cruel. It's super dirty. Beautiful, new, fresh cottage. In each bedroom a bathroom, what a wonderful luxury! Friendly reception. We ordered baby cot and it was unfortunately not in the house, but it was then arranged. Booked week and left after 2 nights! Too much wrong to fix in the short term. The issues: hundreds of insects in the living room. Very poorly cleaned, pungent sewer and smoke smell, leftover rubbish from previous tenants, overdue maintenance, filthy beds and bedding, poor wifi. The list is endless. Immediately reported that the accommodation was filthy and that everything was broken: small things have been repaired. Cleaned up the insects and cobwebs myself. For €1900 p/wk you can expect something. Booked through Belvilla: submitted a complaint twice but never received any response. There was a response from Europarcs to the complaint after having submitted it to them several times: via email request to pass on bank number so that they could return the deposit of €152. Deposit received, no response to complaint. Contact with Europarcs again: according to them, with payment of the €152, the complaint has been settled.

The cottage was very beautiful and well furnished both inside and out. The garden and the rest of the park were also in perfect order. However, there was a security guard at the park who had our eye on us from the first night. Even when we played a board game together at 10:30 pm, with all windows and doors closed, he would knock on our door to say we had to turn it down, while our sound was only heard right outside the front door. To my surprise I had to pay an amount of 611 euros on arrival for additional costs. I think I have paid Belvilla an amount in which all those costs were already included. We found it great that every house has its own jetty. We cannot confirm the mosquito plague that is often cited. If you drive to the water and are then surprised by mosquitoes, you should perhaps go to the mountains. We didn't find the bathing area directly at the park so nice, but less than 5 minutes by car there is a wonderful sandy beach with many bathing bays. We enjoyed the stay very much please, we'd love to come back.

Just a pity that the house was not clean at all upon arrival! Very dirty left by previous owner and bad work by cleaning team. You must pay a standard amount for the final cleaning (which is actually how clean it is for the next tenant), outrageous that it is not clean! The arrival was easy, the accommodation itself was well equipped but unfortunately very dirty. We had to go to a second house because there was a drainage problem in the first house. The second one wasn't exactly clean either. There is an urgent need for action regarding cleanliness ... The environment is clean, well-kept and nice and quiet. Only the supermarket on the premises is lean and at 9 a.m. there are no bread rolls.

From the moment you entered the car you got a warm feeling. Very friendly welcome and everything went without problems! House was exactly as we expected and very clean! Environment is 100% relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Arrival was fine .. however in the cottage we found some defects that we found dangerous. We also mentioned this. What were our findings: - at the back door, tiles had sagged so badly that if you didn't pay attention you could be hurt. (Pictures are present).
