Large private Sun-Terrace with magnificent panoramic View over the harbor, ships and horizon.
Layout Studio; Two rooms(ensuite)+ Hall + Sun-Terrace: One Room with Double Bed and Kitchenette for coffee/tea/eggs. Second Room with Shower/Toilet and extra Bed. In the Hall is a good filled Fridge/Microwave/Oven and the entrance/view at theTerrace. TV/CD//Wifi available.

Museumsbesuch Amsterdam
WiIlem begrüsste uns äußerst herzlich und war sehr hilfsbereit.
Das Apartment im Dachgeschoss erreicht man über zwei Treppen, einen Flur der durch die obere Wohnung führt und daran anschließend eine steile Treppe.
Die Umgebung ist ruhig, nur die Straßenbahn rauscht regelmäßig vorbei. So kann man auf den zwei übereinander gestapelten Matratzen schnell in den Schlaf finden.
Die Haltestelle liegt nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Wir entschieden uns GVB-Tickets zu kaufen, denn die festgerosteten Sattelstützen der Fahrräder wollten wir nicht gewaltsam auf unsere Beinlängen anpassen.
Wenn die Zentralheizung nicht läuft, wärmt der Infrarot-Strahler das Zimmer gut.
Insgesamt ist alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Sauberkeit ließ für unsere Begriffe zu wünschen übrig.
Die Dachterrasse bietet jedoch eine tolle Aussicht und natürlich entlastet die Unterkunft das Reisebudget.

Amsterdam's most beautiful harbour terrace
Simple but clean accommodation in a former captain's house.
A bit quaint but authentic.
Our two hosts were always refreshing and accommodating.
Comfort is not the main aim of the flat and one should not be too vain.
Nevertheless, the facilities are great:
Shower (practical)
TV (SAT) /not connected
Fridge (partially filled)
WLAN does not work reliably with some devices
Bicycles (old but working)
Museum passes (we were allowed to enjoy a private boat tour through the canals as the previous tenants had taken the museum passes with them.

But the terrace is gigantic.
Come and see it for yourselves. It's worth it and cheap.

Holiday in Amsterdam
Really great location, everything within walking distance, bicycles available on site. Don't expect luxury, but everything is there. We were lucky with the weather and could have breakfast and dinner on the rooftop terrace every day. Wilhelm and Heleen are super nice and can speak German well. We were also allowed to use Wilhelm's ticket, cool. Wilhelm also offers a private boat trip, unfortunately we couldn't use it because we had tickets for Madame Tussauds. The accommodation is best suited for two people, as the third person has to sleep in the room with the toilet. But guys, the rooftop terrace makes up for everything.

We have been here many times and never go anywhere else.
With Heleen and Willem it is just wonderful. They are very nice people.
We still got museum tickets and they had bicycles for us. Willem took us on a boat tour - all for free.
We find the suite as it is just right no wishes left open.
The roof terrace is amazing and invites you to linger and there is also a hammock.
If we go to Amsterdam then to Heleen and Willem and if there is nothing free with them, then we don't even go to Amsterdam.
