This countryside holiday home is in the Montecastelli Pisano region of Tuscany in Italy. It has 2 rustic bedrooms and can accommodate 4 guests. It has a balcony and is perfect for couples looking to spend their vacation together.
The village of Montecastelli dates back to the 13th century and is located between the Val di Pavone and the Val di Cecina, on top of a hill at an altitude of 504 metres. The characteristic houses, made of local stones, give it a special atmosphere. The streets are two straight lines one above the other on top of the hill. Montecastelli is located 2 km from the river Peacock (Pavone) where it is possible to swim, to take long walks in a beautiful canyon until you reach the confluence with the river Cecina.
The apartment is part of a very large and ancient house, in the center of the medieval village of Montecastelli-Pisano. It has a large kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a living room, a terrace where you can sit and have a beautiful view of the valley.

Cozy house with nice balcony. House was clean and everything was sufficiently available. The village was restored, yet still authentic with beautiful Italian residents.

the house is very attractive but also comfortable. Everything is there to make nice to relax. The balcony is a nice place with nice views. The village is very quiet and very atmospheric.

The cottage is located in the village of Montecastelli Pisano. The location is not very clear because it is in a kind of niche. When you have found it you will enter an original apartment. It is a bit small, for example the doors are low and it is a bit dark. Other things more than make up for this. The beautiful balcony, the cozy living room, the spacious bedrooms and the excellent beds. All the things you need were there: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave. The oven just didn't work. You can take nice walks in the village and if you look carefully there are also longer walks in the omgeving.Al in all a must to stay. The contact with the owner or his sister is also pleasant.

Vacation was wonderful. Monte Pisano is especially recommended for nature lovers, peace seekers and sports enthusiasts. For culture (Siena, Florence) you have to drive quite a distance, Florence even 88 kilometers of good roads, of which the first half of hills (hairpins), so you do not shoot.

Apartment is absolutely not suitable for 6 persons. There is only one small toilet and makes a lot of noise. In addition, we found a poorly maintained and dirty apartment. The garden furniture was worn, several times fell through the seat allowing 10 days sat on a kitchen chair on the balcony !! Poor Wifi.

Arrival was good. Owner friendly and understandable. Communicating in German or English. Accommodation is nothing to notice. Everything is present, clean, well maintained. Critical point, there is a sleeping place for 5 people but the balcony is not suitable for that. That will be a little tight. The view from the balcony is a picture. Wifi is not for writing home. Wifi signal is using. Satelite / Dish. (Do not get settled with the Netherlands. In that respect, are we a little spoiled?) 2 weeks enjoyed this view and did not get bored. Have been enjoying this apartment for a total of 2 weeks.

Nice old Tuscan house with fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside. Truly away from civilization, with the nearest supermarket 20 minutes' drive and "larger" cities 45 minutes. WiFi after moving modem ok, communication with landlord good and facilities fine. A nice place to relax or work in peace! Especially in the spring or late summer.
