The hostess said that she would be home only in the evening. They live in the house next door. She came to meet in the evening and was very nice. She still showed some of the wood-burning stove. Christmas branches and lights decorated. We came Boxing Day. Very cozy. Nice and warm house. We all love to cook and there is a kitchen ideal for. It is not the most luxurious house. The bathrooms could be more modern. All in all a very nice week. Partly because of the house. The area is quiet, but very beautiful. You can go everywhere by car. But walking in the area is also possible. 10 people.

We were with 2 families a weekend in this house and we really enjoyed it. The cottage is very spacious, 4 bedrooms and 10 beds and a large kitchen diner. Of course it is a bit dated, you can see that in the pictures, but in real life it looked nicer than in the pictures. This cottage is good for nice trips in the area, 30 minutes from Winterberg, swimming pools in the neighborhood, Warstein (40 minutes) we went to a small game park with a visit to the caves, was especially nice for the children. In short, we had a great weekend.

The arrival was very nice. Well received and guided. The accommodation was also fine. Very spacious and comfortable. There are many household materials available. However, some cups and glasses need to be replaced, as well as some chairs in the kitchen. The environment is very beautiful. Hiking maps and routes are available on site, as are the slopes. In nearby villages there are delicious and good restaurants. You can do this with the car!

We had a great time in Sauerland. The people there are incredibly friendly and the surroundings are surprisingly beautiful. The house itself provides enough space. The materials used are slightly older and therefore of somewhat lower quality. The hostess and host are helpful and friendly. All in all a must.

The welcome was not as warm, had to be settled right. The owner lives next to the rented house and can come in through. When our kids to her taste made too much noise, she suddenly stood in the corridor and asked whether it could slow down.

Warm welcome. Home is located on fairly busy road, but little affected within. Spacious home, decor is dated but in good condition, situated on ± 40-minute drive from Winterberg away. Supermarket, Lidl at 10 minute drive. Had a nice holiday.

We have Menkhausen Sauerland spent a very nice holiday. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The house is spacious and often left it again for outdoor dining. On terrace or in the garden Sauerland is primarily a hiker's paradise with beautiful marked hiking trails. Even on foot depart from the holiday house. For older children there were sledding opportunities in Winterberg and Willingen, mini golf, cycling, shopping in Schmallenberg, very good indoor and outdoor pools ...

Schwerman House is a great base location for winter sports in the Sauerland. Winterberg and other ski areas are within driving distance. From the house are other attractions such as the Warsteiner Brewery easy reach. Furthermore, the house is a good starting point for hikes.

Although the house is on a main road, but traffic you hardly bother. It is finely furnished, the kitchen is more than equipped and very spacious. The four bedrooms are really big and it's very nice that there is a bathroom on each floor. The only downside I can think of is that there is not really a place in the neighborhood. We wanted to go skiing in Winterberg, which is half an hour drive in good weather. The house itself is over z "s money and landlords incredibly nice.

With Grandpa and Grandma, two families with three small children one weekend went to this lovely home. Winterberg is a half hour drive. The house is very suitable for this group and the kitchen invites the whole evening to play while enjoying a drink. Games Warburton. Definitely worth repeating!

We had fantastic weather and were friendly received. R nIt is a very spacious house (living space less) with large, quiet rooms. As the photo 's rooms no honor to do we were pleasantly surprised. R nThe photo ' s of the garden are somewhat misleading, the private garden is not accessible with children because dog (or a very good beast) . Next to the house was still quite some room to play. R nWe also found no Internet, but maybe she was not wireless and we have not found the thread. Information about missing, but honestly we did not further informed here. R nTip for those who do not like a lot of height (bicycle, pram, ...) in Dorlar, 1 km, start a kilometers long cycling and footpath on the bed of an old railway line was built.

Menkhausen is a quiet town (great for walking), not too far away from Schmallenberg and an adventure park where we have been. We were 10 people, but the space in the house was enough. R nOnly for 10 people may have up to 5 bedrooms.

Very nice house, there is not much to do in the area but a short distance to great ski resorts like us Winterberg.Wat was only found very strange that the owners came to the house every time we were away and all the windows of the bedrooms close did and the stoves in the living room turned back. While we had no heating in the bedroom. We would have preferred that they had this as indicated (after all they live next to) just go. Nice and quiet area. Great stay for a group of 7 adults or more. Excellent starting point for hiking and cycling from the door al also good base for the real tourist areas in the vicinity. Spacious and clean home with large rooms. Everything in the description is correct, the lack of a dishwasher. Mrs. Schwermann doing everything to the guests to feel at ease. The ride to the hospital in the middle of the night on 20 minutes. And baking a plum cake "consolation". Compliments!

A beautiful, spacious and clean apartment in a beautiful setting. The format was for us (group of friends) perfect, but not quite as in the description. On the first floor two bedrooms with 2 single beds on the second floor two bedrooms each with 1x 1x 2-bed and 1 single bed. The beds are also all disconnect. The kitchen is very spacious, the living room is something cozier. There are no provisions in Menkhausen, but these are sufficiently present in the area. Here we would definitely come back!

We stayed from 20 to 27 December 2010 in Menkhausen. There was lots of snow, so it was a real white kerst.Vanuit the house we made walks through the hills in the immediate vicinity of the house, in several places we could relax on a sled sliding down. A few times we went skiing in Sellinghausen, a village 5 km away. There is a relatively small slope, but for beginners like us was fine. For a reasonable price we could rent skis and instruction. For nordic were there enough possibilities. On a golf course right next to the slopes began trail of multiple lengths (eg 4.5 and 12 km). Liked the house very well. The stoves are doing well and everywhere was nice and warm. The kitchen is simple but nice and big. The living room is a little on the tight side, but we could still fine with z 'n all (9 adults and 1 baby) in. The bedrooms are large and the two bathrooms lovely. Menkhausen is a great place for a quiet holiday bring.

Mrs. schwerman was very nice and the house was neat clean.We enjoyed the natuur.Het house is rural and quiet but far from shops etc. The garden was big enough and also the terrace but unfortunately we could little use of because of the many vliegen.Er is much to do in the area and there are many wandelpaden.Het house is perfect for a large group.

The drive to the house "Schwermann" in Menkhausen is no effort without TomTom as they advance home the numbers of roads, it writes probleemloos.De Schwermann family are very friendly people and information on the area prepared for extensive vertellen.Wij were with eight adults who have ample room hadden.Iedere morning breakfast together at the long table in the kitchen throughout the gezellig.Dan walking shoes and a path from the road went off your nose by fields / forests and 4A5 hour later after coming home. For beautiful marked trails go to Fleckenberg / Jagdhaus buy a roadmap (1 euro) and enjoy the schiterende omgeving.Vergeet Schäferhof restaurant did not pass without lunch conveniant to use, comprehensive and certainly not duur.Wij were only a week and that is omgevlogen.Jan van der Laan.Haarlem.

Super and cozy house with all mod cons! Location is also good, about half an hour drive from Winterberg! The owner is also very friendly. We were there with 4 families and that was doable, especially the extra sanitation. The wood stove in the kitchen adds a Winter Atmosphere! The apres-ski we did just in the cottage. Winterberg is also a great ski resort, especially for children. It is advisable to go outside the high season and weekends to avoid, because it is very busy on the slopes. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Sauerland. We met in Menkhausen a good home. The house was neat, clean and very ruim.Er burned a lovely fireplace. We were 7 personen.Wel we found the cutlery and crockery on the tight side. The kettle may have some groter.Het weather was good. In the immediate vicinity are not at wandelroutes.Daarvoor you to Small Mountain or Oberkirchen.Er was lots of information about activities in Sauerland present but a good map of the immediate area was lacking. The family Schwermann was friendly and helpful even when it appeared that the Internet is not deed.Verder vrijheid.We we all look back on a successful holiday week. Dijkstra family in October 2008

Nice sized bedrooms, a little too soft mattresses. Large kitchen with plenty of utensils and cutlery. Take yourself a DVD player along with a scart connection to enjoy cozy in the living room of a movie. We will definitely come back again.
