Calm and serene, this place is a perfect getaway. We enjoyed the central heating during our stay, and the nearby hiking trails were a bonus. I would recommend it without hesitation for family gatherings!

What a fantastic stay! The holiday home was beautifully maintained and the garden was perfect for our family barbecue. We also loved the proximity to Lake Bütgenbach for our nature walks.

We were well received by us at the time indicated. There was some ot a language barrier but that the owners had solved By asking an interpreter. We had beautiful weather and many sat in the garden. It is a lovely spacious house that was neat and clean. The only stumbling block was the busy road where the house is located. We have two small children who had to guide you along for house to the garden, back could not because it was private property of the owner. The TV did not goed.De setting is lovely, lots of forests and adventure hikes. We went to safari parks and there are nice playgrounds nearby. The shops are often closed on odd days / times. We look back on a nice vacation!

Much of the area having visited cities, natural parks, and of course the lake Butgenbach. Pity was that bad Butgenbach was reached by bicycle. The rolling countryside is not for kids to do and the city bike. You're so sure of your car afhankelijk.Verder a spacious property which is dated in terms of decor. The use of the (museum worthy) TV is not user-friendly. The master bedroom is also on the street, which is also the main road of the village. In the early hours will the (freight) traffic there at high speed through rijden.Maar if you look through all this back and television unused time is it fine place to be. But it was three weeks with children - because of the restrictions - with this location yet slightly too long.

The garden is fenced yes, but there is no access to the house at the back. That means that you always have to enter through the front door - and therefore also the busy main road. Very dangerous if you have small children, and annoying if you have to bring everything from the kitchen, through the house, along the road, to the garden on a summer evening. Very nice starting point for challenging bike rides.

Everything neatly on time, the weather was good and we were still a bit prepared to make several trips because everything happens best with the car. The house was well kept and clean with everything available. There were only 4 TV channels idd to be found, but we are not the type of holidaymakers who lie in front of the TV). For the kids, DVDs can be brought along, a real holiday that is worth repeating and, as always, ... far too short!

We had an incredible stay at the holiday home in Elsenborn! The spacious layout was perfect for our group of six, with each bedroom being cozy and well-equipped. The highlight for us was definitely the private garden, where we spent hours enjoying the fresh air and firing up the grill. We also appreciated the proximity to local restaurants and the beautiful Bütgenbach Lake, which is just a short drive away. The hosts were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for a family holiday!

To be fair: the facilities are not great, the house is relatively simple (no wifi, etc.) the street is indeed noisy and the area is not one of the nicer in the Ardennes, but ... We had a great time, we had atmosphere, the hostess was sweet, the memories are good, the village was atmosphere and the holiday was great. This house was the only house still available for the Christmas holidays / New Years, but we wouldn't redo or trade it for anything else! We would love to come back. Atmosphere and nostalgia.

Accommodation was very pleasant / cozy. Everything was neatly taken care of, the heating was turned on for a pleasant temperature, outside was not cold that day! The surroundings initially seemed a bit boring, but turned out to be the opposite. Very nice and lots to do.
