The house exceeds above-average criteria in all areas - furnishings, equipment, cleanliness...
The thoughtful interior design offers plenty of space for both two-legged and four-legged guests.
The holiday home is very tastefully furnished and has everything needed for a vacation.
After extensive walks in the sun and snow, the sauna sessions were pure wellness! We were particularly taken with the stove, which provided a cozy warmth on the rather cold evenings and nights. And - what self-sufficient people can certainly appreciate - the kitchen equipment leaves nothing to be desired! ! !

One wants to move in directly!

After we tried the raspberry hut last year and were very enthusiastic, we wanted to try this holiday home this time, which has the great bonus of its own sauna!
And here too, one arrived and immediately wanted to extend the vacation or better yet, move in completely. :)
Everything here is beautifully furnished, and there is a nice view of the greenery. And this tranquility... you really can't hear anything there, it’s very relaxing! Our dog slept in front of the fireplace after the long walks on the many hiking trails, while we warmed up and relaxed in the sauna.

All in all, we had a very nice and relaxing short vacation and thank the hosts for this lovely accommodation.
We have already booked the house again for the end of March. :)

Highly recommended! Nice, uncomplicated contact. Arrived at the house and could move in immediately with the door code. We lacked nothing. Bed linen, towels, toilet paper, coffee beans, wood for the fireplace, etc., everything was available. Also all kitchen utensils. Everything perfect! We will come back.

Great holiday home in a beautiful area with a fantastic view.

Great holiday home in a quiet area. The amenities are perfect. There was a small bottle of sparkling wine as a welcome gift. We used the sauna daily after extensive walks on the adjacent hiking trails. The house is recommended for anyone who wants to unwind and relax in a beautiful setting. Shopping facilities are accessible within 5 minutes by car. We will gladly come back.

Dream vacation!

We were at the holiday home "Three Birches" for the first time and fell in love with this house right away. The quiet location, away from any hustle and bustle, was pure relaxation. When a fox jumps through the meadow even in the morning, you know that you can finally find peace here. From the living room, there is a wonderful distant view. The ambiance and the furnishings were arranged with a great deal of love. The sauna belonging to the house adds to the relaxation, and one can spend the day with sauna sessions, sun terrace, and reading.
There is nothing one lacks in this house. Whether it's free Wi-Fi, a fire pit on the terrace, a grill, a huge carport for the car, and the list can go on indefinitely.
Thank you for this wonderful vacation and the nice conversations we had with you, and we will definitely come back next year.

Very beautiful holiday home with a stunning view

Very nice holiday home with tasteful furnishings and a comfort that leaves nothing to be desired, plus a great (huge) property with a dreamy view of the wooded mountains. Not only our dog felt very comfortable here. Friendly landlords and the fact that you can hike through the beautiful Sauerland from here complete the picture of a perfect vacation.

Relaxed weekend!

We can only recommend it! We had a house for four people. We were two couples, and each had a dog with them. The house was very well equipped. Everything was there, such as a fully equipped coffee machine in the kitchen and cooking utensils like pots, pans, etc. Dish towels, towels, and everything for the dog, like treats, a bed, and dog bags, were also available. The house was very nicely furnished, and the fireplace and the sauna were the two highlights. The walks were also very lovely, as the nature there was impressive, and you can see a lot of beautiful things. The dogs have plenty of room to play, and you can take a different path every day. We would love to spend such a weekend here again and would recommend it to everyone.

A very good accommodation with complete and tasteful furnishings.

A long weekend that brought joy and fun to both humans and dogs.
Our highlight: the fireplace, cozy warmth, and romantic atmosphere.
Due to the proximity to well-marked hiking trails, one could certainly leave the car behind and undertake shorter hikes (2 - 4 hours) directly from the house.
We would have liked to stay longer, but we will definitely come back.

Dreamlike!

Those who want to spend their (short) holiday in a stylish environment, with wonderful hosts who still show their enthusiasm for their guests, are highly recommended to stay at Ferienhaus Drei Birken! You lack for nothing, with very tasteful furnishings, VERY (!!!) clean, great sauna... and nature right at your doorstep - absolutely recommendable! The best part for us was that our dog was welcomed and felt perfectly at home as a Great Dane. We would love to come back!!!!

Pure relaxation!!!

Upon arrival, the relaxation began immediately. The sister-in-law had the upper floor all to herself. After Mrs. Heitzig had given our labrador Aaron some treats and we had later put everything away, we set off to explore the house. It is truly lovingly decorated and nothing is missing. It sits beautifully on a slope and you can see far into the distance. Although we did not have snow during our Christmas week, it wasn't so bad. We spent a lot of time in nature and in the sauna in the evenings. We looked at the new little house (Raspberry Cabin) from the outside. It is located directly across from the Forest Fairy, where we have been guests several times. The sauna at Three Birches is a dream. We have already booked for Christmas 2014. The Lower Rhine residents Jörg, Birgit, Anke, and Labbi Aaron.

free time activities: Zum Wandern und spazieren gehen gut geeignet. Das Hallenbad in Willingen und der Naturpark am Ettelsberg sind zu empfehlen. Eine Fahrt mit der Gondel auf den Ettelsberg und anschließend runter laufen, Super!!!

Wonderful short vacation

A super beautifully furnished holiday home. Everything is available. From the fireplace to a coffee machine. You can have a great vacation here, especially with dogs. The property is huge. There is also a nice terrace and a pond. Numerous beautiful and delicious restaurants in the area.

free time activities: Wer wandern will kann direkt von der Haustür aus starten. Ansonsten sind es bis Wilingen ca. 15 Min mit dem Auto. Winterberg erreicht man nach ca. 30 Min. Ansonsten ist nach 10min Fußweg ein Waldfreibad zu erreichen und die Briloner Innenstadt erreicht man mit dem Auto schon nach 5min.

shopping facilities: Zu Fuß wird es schwierig. Mit dem Auto ist man aber nach ca. 5min am nächstgelegenden Supermarkt und Bäcker.

The warm welcome and friendliness of the landlords also support our recommendation. Both humans and dogs are welcomed here not just for commercial reasons. We also really liked that there were no extra charges for additional costs like electricity, dogs, wood, etc., as is usually common. We will definitely come back.

Fantastic house, wonderful area in an idyllic neighborhood.

The house is lovingly furnished down to the last detail. You can comfortably stay there as a group of four. The kitchen invites you to cook, and the bathrooms are modern and very clean. This house is simply great for anyone who wants to self-cater during their vacation. The garden is wonderful for grilling, and the area invites you to hike. Many excursion tips are also available on the website or are listed in detail in a book in the house. The landlords are hospitable and really friendly. Anyone who wants to vacation in the Sauerland and doesn't want to miss out on a modern beautiful house is in the right place here.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Das Haus liegt in einer kleinen Siedlung mit einigen anderen Häusern hat aber den Vorteil, dass man im Garten völlig ungestört ist und man tun und lassen kann was man möchte. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell und einfach überall - ob zum shoppen in Willingen oder Winterberg oder auf dem nächsten Berg zum wandern. Alles sehr gut zu erreichen. Direkt aus dem Garten bietet sich ein fantastischer Blick vom Garten in die Berge.

free time activities: Wandern, spazieren gehen oder in den kleinen Dörfern bummeln - wer nicht nach Großstadt sucht sondern das idyllische Örtchen sucht, ist hier richtig.

shopping facilities: In Willingen und Winterberg kann man in den kleinen Lädchen gute Schnäppchen shoppen. Supermarkt usw. sind alle leicht und einfach zu finden. Dank einer tollen Besucher-Mappe der Vermieter lässt sich alles einfach und schnell finden.

Beautiful holidays

We had hoped for a quiet vacation, and we got one. Beautiful, peaceful area! A very well-equipped house including delicious coffee from the fully automatic machine. The fireplace worked wonderfully, and our dog could constantly "bark" at the foxes in the garden. Good hiking trails, and if anyone wanted to see something, Brilon was not far away. Once and again!

hello Ginger and Harry,

as "old Rügen fans," we have now made our way to the Sauerland for the first time, and we must admit that we were thrilled from the very beginning and still are.

The location of the house is simply fantastic!
Beautifully situated on a hill, you enjoy a dreamlike view of nature.

Above all, we were captivated by the tranquility, and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace and relaxing a bit. There were no unpleasant noises to disturb us, and one could truly let the soul dangle.

The house is furnished with attention to detail and is extremely comfortable.
We were warmly welcomed, and there was even a small bottle of champagne on the table, which we enjoyed very much. We will surely "drop by" the winemaker on our next visit.
Even treats were laid out for our Beagle JOSCHI, which of course always makes a Beagle particularly happy. No, not that anyone thinks he is greedy!

We found the provision of towels to be unique!
The house was extremely clean and well-maintained.

We especially enjoyed the coffee machine and, above all, the Wi-Fi, as one enjoys even more peace with an EPLUS phone than one already has.

One has NO reception ;-)) That can also be GREAT, and one should savor this "situation" more often! But only if you still have a D1 or D2 emergency phone just in case ;-))

Thus, with the Wi-Fi, one could still send and receive emails so as not to end up on the missing persons list.

Our Joschi had his little basket in front of the beautiful large windows and also gazed into the distance.
In the mornings, we could watch the busy squirrels with their collecting passion, and in the evenings, the hedgehog came and made its final round in front of our windows. Moreover, Master Rabbit greeted our Joschi every morning when we took our first round.

Those who enjoy hiking will find an Eldorado here.

Away from stress and any hustle and bustle, one enjoys pure nature here!

We already imagined the view in autumn and winter and must visit the house again during these seasons. However, in winter, I feel the desire for a 4Matic drive so that I can still "climb" the carport. We will come back and just hope that the house is still available for our dates (because of the "too good" reviews)! :-)))

This house is a "hidden gem"! Shhh! Don't tell anyone! ;-))

Vicinity of the holiday home: Sehr ruhig auf einer Anhöhe am Waldrand gelegen, man sollte jedoch mobil und möglichst gut zu Fuß sein.
Brilon und Willingen sind mit dem PKW leicht erreichbar.

free time activities: Wer gerne wandert oder mit den Nordic-Walking-Stöcken unterwegs ist, findet hier unzählige Strecken. Ein Wanderweg liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Haus und führt zu angrenzenden Wanderwegen.
Wer die Ruhe liebt ist hier richtig!
Eine Wanderung um die Diemeltalsperre ist ebenfalls eine Empfehlung wert, ist allerdings etwas länger (16km).
Ferner sollte man Winterberg besuchen und einen Abstecher zum Kahlen Asten machen. Von dort gibt es diverse Wanderwege.
Unser erster Tag führte uns zur Hiebammen-Hütte. Eine echte Empfehlung mit leckerem frischem Grillgut!
Mit der Seilbahn kann man zum Hochheideturm hochfahren, um anschließend zur Hochheide-Hütte zu wandern und wieder zu Fuß zurück ins Tal nach Willingen.

Nicht hingegen empfehlen können wir die "Flaniermeile" in Willingen.
Sehr laut, ungemütlich mit viel Durchgangsverkehr und man hat irgendwie immer den Eindruck, durch el Arenal zu laufen.
Wer es braucht ok! Wir jedoch auf gar keinen Fall!

We were guests for 14 days in this beautiful holiday home, which is comfortably and stylishly furnished with love for self-catering, making you feel right at home. The peaceful location of the holiday house guarantees a solid and restful sleep at night, and during the day you can set off on smaller or larger hikes right from your doorstep. Thanks to the cozy fireplace, the bad weather in the second week could not dampen our spirits. Brilon and the surrounding area offer everything a hiker's heart desires, so we are sure to return soon.

After we were greeted by three deer enjoying their "dinner" at the feeding trough in the garden upon our arrival, we spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend full of peace and rejuvenation in this vacation home. The landlords, who live right next door, are very helpful and friendly. The house is perfect, equipped with everything you need, and lovingly and harmoniously furnished down to the smallest detail. The lovely view and the romantic atmosphere of the fireplace pleased us so much that we spontaneously extended our short vacation.

A house to feel good in

We, 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a dog entered the house and felt comfortable immediately. It is very lovingly, beautifully, and high-quality furnished. Nothing was missing; even towels and bed linen were provided, just great. The gallery was the highlight for the teenagers. There is plenty of space, and it is located in a very quiet area, with the nice landlords right next door. We really enjoyed the weekend by the cozy fireplace and will definitely come back.

A dream vacation

A vacation like out of a storybook. The house is very secluded, and you can't hear anything here except for the chirping of birds. We were warmly welcomed by the landlord, who immediately mentioned that we could let them know if anything was needed. The house is furnished in such a way that you immediately feel at "home." Nothing is truly missing. I could hardly believe that there was a hairdryer or coffee filters, etc. You can really save yourself that because everything is available. Sitting on the terrace, you see only green all around you... it is really great.
Even the Wi-Fi connection, at about 1.2 Mbit/s, is not to be sneezed at.
We can only recommend the holiday home if you enjoy peace and travel by car.
Since the shopping options can only be reached by car.

free time activities: Da wir Hobbyfotografen sind, haben wir uns die Wildparks in der Nähe angesehen. Wunderschön gelegen und sehr schön.
Das Freibad ist traumhaft, nur hat bei uns das Wetter nicht so mitgespielt.

shopping facilities: Brilon ist nicht so weit entfernt, aber ohne Auto nur recht mühsam zu erreichen. Mal eben Brötchen holen mit dem Fahrrad...das geht nicht.

A gem for a relaxing vacation

The relaxation begins upon arrival with the sight of the beautiful wooden house on the hill, with a spread of grassy carpet and a small pond in front of the door. No matter the weather, the nature and peaceful tranquility are simply beautiful. The landlords are so helpful yet reserved. We can only echo the great reviews. We always enjoy coming here again. The furnishings are modern and cozy without unnecessary decor that would eventually just turn into dust collectors. Everything is spotless and nothing is missing.

The holiday home "Dreibirken" offers a wonderful opportunity to relax on a high level. It's also a great place for everyday living... :-) We felt very comfortable from the very first moment. The very quiet location was ideal for us to unwind. We are seriously considering violating our principle (never going to the same place more than once) and booking the holiday home again in the future. The furnishings are complete.

Zu empfehlen ist der Gasthof "Waldesruh" (Wegbeschreibung in der Mappe im Ferienhaus), ein sehr uriges Ambiente mit leckerem Essen.

Dreamy holiday home in a beautiful location!

We have rarely felt as comfortable in a holiday home as in the Ferienhaus Drei Birken in Brilon. The furnishings and service leave nothing to be desired. The furniture and decoration are all beautiful and tasteful. Also wonderful is the fact that high-quality towels are available in sufficient quantity and the beds are already made. The duvet is so cozy that you don’t want to get up anymore. A washing machine and a condenser dryer are also available. Our wonderful stay was further enhanced by the extremely hospitable and attentive owners. The fridge filled upon arrival or delicious fresh potato pancakes at the door? - No problem for Mrs. Entrup and Mr. Heitzig!

free time activities: Die Freizeitmöglichkeiten sind in der näheren Umgebung für Jung und Alt zahlreich vorhanden.

shopping facilities: Im 4 KM entfernten Brilon gibt es verschiedene sehr gut sortierte Einkaufsmärkte und zusätzlich zahlreiche Bäckereien. Es gibt nichts, was man vor Ort nicht finden kann.

THE PERFECT HOLIDAY HOUSE

Finally, I come to give my review... We have already been to this beautiful, tastefully furnished, and absolutely cozy little house twice. Once in April '09 and already in June '09 we were drawn back here again. One can ultimately only be grateful to the landlord couple for offering guests such a great energy-saving house at a reasonable price. Particularly noteworthy is the stove, which can be used at any time on cool/cold days and quickly warms the entire house comfortably. Sufficient wood is available right by the house. It was also important for us that the beds are equipped with good mattresses. Furthermore, I must mention that on each side of the house, there is the possibility to open a terrace door; there is a super beautiful sun terrace that is also fully equipped with garden furniture; the entire lower area of the house has wooden floorboards (absolutely warm and cozy); there are a total of three TVs! The shower is wonderfully spacious - etc. Overall, truly high-quality furnishings, with numerous loving and practical details. and there is still more to come. The landlords are extremely friendly, always grateful for suggestions, and implement everything possible. So our enthusiasm really should be contagious! Oh yes... our dog "Murphy" is also a welcome guest here. Since there are super great hiking opportunities, he is also always happy when he is here. Apart from that, he feels very comfortable in the house (though he is a shepherd mix). If we can manage it schedule-wise, we will try to book for another week during the summer holidays.

Great little house in a beautiful, quiet location

We were in this charming little house from May 20 to 24, 2009, and we felt very comfortable all around; our 9-year-old son liked it very much as well. The furnishings are modern, very appealing and cozy, everything spotlessly clean, so that we felt almost at home from the first minute. The kitchen area is comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering. There is a well-stocked information folder with many tips and information about the possibilities in the surrounding area, which we couldn’t fully explore in the 4 days. You can start hiking right outside the door and take shorter or longer rounds. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try out as many options in the short time, but luckily we are coming back for a week during the autumn holidays – we are already looking forward to it! This house gets 5 stars from us in every category!

We had the great honor of being the first guests in this beautiful house. It was our first vacation with a baby and we had very bad weather. De Drei Birken is an more than amazing holiday home! Beautiful house, with sauna and spacious carport and huge garden. At any time of the day, one can sit in the sun. The house is beautifully decorated and equipped with all conveniences and is super clean despite the fact that dogs are allowed! The view is beautiful and the owner, who lives nearby, is very hospitable and friendly! In short, if the opportunity arises, book it!

Fietsen, enorm veel wandel mogelijkheden (direct naast de deur), veel bezienswaardigheden, zwembaden, rodelbanen, dierparken, speeltuinen en kabelbanen in de directe omgeving. Brilon maar zeker ook Willingen en Winterberg zijn zeker een bezoek waard.
Tip: Bruchhauser steiner, fietsen rond de Diemelsee en Hennensee en de Erlebnisbrucke in Winterberg.

shopping facilities: Alle boodschappen kunnen in Brilon worden gehaald (10 minuten met de auto). En ook voor een middagje winkelen kun je hier prima uit de voeten.

We have stayed in many holiday homes, but we haven't experienced everything being just right for a long time. A truly beautiful house, very nicely furnished, there really is nothing missing, and the decor is absolutely cozy.

Super cool holiday home with everything that the heart desires.

The holiday home is excellently equipped, nothing was missing. The cabinets were full of basic food supplies, great fluffy towels, dog beds, a washing machine, a dryer, a wonderful sauna, a great location for relaxing and unwinding, amazing beds where you sleep well... everything was available, our dogs felt very comfortable, and so did we. The owners are right next door and are very helpful and nice. Definitely worth recommending. It was a great vacation, we returned to everyday life refreshed.
