Would you like to enjoy the peace and quiet and get to know the true island feeling? Then our farmhouses are the right place for you. They are located in a quiet environment with a view of the mudflat dike near large nature reserves. Here you will find peace and quiet and experience the true island feeling. The dunes and forests are also within easy reach. Our farmhouses are located in the former fishing village of Oost, close to the Wadden Sea and the most beautiful village on Texel: Oosterend. Oost was known as a harbour village where people used to fish for oysters and collect seaweed. On the spot where the houses are today, there was an old, dilapidated farm. Near this farm - so the story goes - old Dutch coins were found in a clay pot. So we had the idea to give the lodges the names of the coins that were found there.
De Florijn is a luxurious, detached, thatched farmhouse. It was built in 2009 and has four particularly comfortable and atmospherically furnished apartments. With underfloor heating and beautiful wood-burning stoves, you can enjoy Texel at any time of year. Each apartment has its own south-facing terrace. For children, the large garden around the farmhouse is a true play paradise (more than 1,000 m2). The apartments also have plenty of parking space.
De Daalder lets you experience country life, in the middle of the polder and close to the Wadden Sea. The interior is a playful homage to the old farming traditions. A good start is half the battle. This is especially true when you book this cosy holiday home. Let the holiday begin! De Daalder is located in the middle of the large farm. Wood stove on the wall, an inviting dining table in the kitchen. French doors open onto the terrace, where a thick hedge keeps the coastal wind at bay.
Pot of gold
If we can believe the stories from times past, a clay pot filled to the brim with Dutch coins was found near De Florijn. You may wonder how such a treasure came to a village that had fallen asleep. Let your imagination run wild. Back then, Oost was a bustling port town with its own harbour. People earned their living as oyster fishermen or collecting seaweed. The real adventurers went out into the cold waters to catch whales

At this place Texel van shows its other side. The beach is of course the crowd puller. Keep calm - in just ten minutes you will feel the soft sand under your feet. Your own kingdom in the Netherlands - it's possible! You'll take this image home with you - the endless horizon with its magnificent play of clouds.
