Description
On the southern cape of Messinia, a picturesque medieval castle rises like a pointed triangle into the sea, nestled against which are the narrow alleyways with the small, pretty houses of Koroni. To the south-west of the village, the fine sandy beaches of Zaga and Memi are lined up side by side along the coast.
A two-storey stone house with spectacular views stands on a huge family plot on a beautiful hillside overlooking the sea, between oleander bushes, bougainvillea plants, pine and olive trees and Mediterranean plants, above the coast between Vassilitsi and Koroni. Approx. 5km southwest of Koroni on a hill with some exclusive villas, in a quiet, well-kept atmosphere, the location of this house offers fantastic views of the Messinian bay, all the way to Koroni and the opposite coast of the Mani region.
Beautiful, solidly built stone house with two flats one above the other. The well-kept holiday flat Margarita is located on the upper floor of the house. The ground floor flat is occupied by the German-speaking landlord family.
Side entrance via an external staircase with a covered entrance terrace. The exposed stone walls inside lend the functionally furnished holiday flat a special charm. The open-plan kitchen, bedroom and bathroom adjoin the living room. A small balcony in front of the living room and bedroom invites you to linger.
There is a large selection of beautiful, fine sandy beaches in the immediate vicinity. Each of them has its own special charm. Your ‘private beach’ below the holiday flat, approx. 300 m away, could be your real favourite. From the balconies of your holiday home you can look out over the small, hidden sandy bay.
The nearby, picturesque town of Koroni, with its beautiful harbour, tavernas and cafés, offers a nice change from the peaceful surroundings of the Margarita holiday flat. The towns of Pylos and Methoni also have a special charm on the southern cape of Messinia.

Very nice, open-minded, and helpful landlords, family atmosphere. Quiet location. Property enclosed. Apartment okay, TV set should be renewed, currently still a tube! Large parking lot by the house. View of the sea is gigantic. Clean small bathing cove, access a bit difficult, but few people. All locals were very nice (not pushy!) and accommodating. We (both 74) really enjoyed it, we will come back! Pure relaxation. Heinz and Elke from Bad Tölz.

We were there for a week with our nearly 2-year-old daughter and were completely satisfied. Great holiday apartment, spacious, clean with an invaluable view and a quiet private dreamlike bathing bay. The hosting family lives in the house (ground floor) and is super friendly and always helpful. We will come back. Definitely check out: Fortress Messoni.

We can only agree with the previous very good reviews. The house is located in a dreamlike and very quiet area, the holiday apartment is very nice, and the beach is simply wonderful. There were times when we were alone on the beach for hours. Koroni itself is a nice Greek town, not built up with hotel bunkers, and without the usual tourist shops with air mattresses... The host family is very nice and very helpful. We were there for 14 days and would have liked to stay longer. Greetings again to Margarita and her family.

A quiet and very beautiful accommodation. Although there was construction next door, it was still very quiet. The heavy machinery work was already completed. The accommodation was very clean. The apartment is very well equipped. There was, among other things, a cutting board, a large bread knife, a tray, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, kettle, and lemon squeezer. These things are always useful. Only a teapot was missing. The accommodation offers a larger and two smaller terraces. The bed was personally too hard for me and also the sofa bed for my father. The sleeping area is across from the sofa. However, there were plenty of blankets to make ourselves comfortable. Very important, there were mosquito nets installed on all the windows and balcony doors. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They also speak very good German. There is also a very friendly employee who provides towels and new bed linen. The path to the beach is pleasant to walk, 7 minutes down, 10 minutes up. We were almost alone at the beach all day; in the evening hours, 1 to 2 people came to swim. In the very clear water at the front, there are small to medium pebbles. In the back area of the beach, there is sand. We did not walk to the very good tavern Foumaritis. It goes uphill and downhill, afterwards you are sweaty. It was a very nice and relaxing vacation. We are very happy to come back. We have been to Koroni for the third time now, it is still very authentic. Thank you very much for everything. Sabine and family. ~~

What a wonderful view of the sea, Koroni, the opposite Mani - dreamy! And the lovely peace! The apartment is nice, the kitchen well-equipped, the bed comfortable with a firm mattress. We felt completely at home and would very much like to come back.
