Description
Narrow alleys with the small and beautiful houses of Messenia nestle up to a medieval castle that is picturesquely extending to the sea, like a sharp triangle on the southern Cape of Messenia. South west of the village the fine sandy beaches of Zaga and Memi are spreading along the coast.
The two-storied stone house is situated on a huge family property between oleander bushes, bougainvillea, pine trees, olive trees and other Mediterranean plants, in a beautiful hillside location above coast between Vassilitsi and Koroni. The location of the house is approx. 5km southwest of Koroni on a hill with some exclusive villas, in a quiet and cultivated atmosphere and it offers a spectacular view across the Messenian Bay up to Koroni and the opposite coast of the Mani region. The house is a wonderful, solid stone construction with two apartments on top of each other. The well-maintained holiday apartment MARGARITA is on the first floor of the house. The ground floor apartment is used by the German speaking owner family.
There is a side entrance via an external staircase with a beautiful roofed terrace. The exposed stone walls inside the house add a charming atmosphere to the interior of the comfortably furnished holiday apartment. Adjoining to the living room is the open kitchen and the bedroom. Small balconies in the living room and bedroom invite you to linger.
There is a large choice of beautiful, fine sandy beaches close-by, each with its own characteristics and attraction. Your “personal beach” is only 300 m away from the holiday apartment and has potential to become your favourite. From the balconies of your holiday domicile you can catch a glimpse of the small, hidden sandy bay.
The close-by picturesque village Koroni with its port scenery, taverns and cafés make a nice change from the quiet and secluded location of the holiday apartment SOFIA 1. Especially charming are also the towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messenia.

Wunderschöne Wohnung mit tollen Meerblick. Weg zum Strand, sowie Anfahrt zum Haus ein wenig mühsam, aber man wird dafür mit einer tollen Aussicht belohnt.

schöne lage - Badebucht steil unterhalb ist sehr reizvoll - gute Wandergegend - Wohnung eher spartanisch - TV bzw. CDplayer wären um diesen Preis angebracht - Innentüren schließen nicht (=lästig wegen Mücken im Schlafzimmer) - keine Mikrowelle - Außendusche nicht benützbar, da keineswegs einladend und hinter der stets behangenen Wäscheleine der Eigentümerfamilie gelegen - Zufahrt sehr steil und mit Spitzkehre im Steilhang

Very nice, open and helpful landlords, familial atmosphere. Quiet location. Property enclosed. Apartment okay, TV set should be renewed, currently still tube! Large parking lot at the house. Fantastic view of the sea. Clean small bathing bay, access a bit cumbersome, but few people. All locals were very nice (not pushy!) and courteous. We (both 74) really liked it, we will come back! We felt very comfortable in the holiday apartment. The driveway to the apartment is not for inexperienced drivers, but once you have made it, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view :-) Our hosts were very nice and everything we needed was available in the apartment. The location is very convenient for excursions in all directions.

we spent a week there with our almost 2-year-old daughter and were completely satisfied. Great vacation apartment, spacious, clean with an priceless view and a quiet private dreamy bathing bay. The host family lives in the house (ground floor) and is super friendly and always helpful. We will come back. A must-see: Fortress Messonia.

We, as a couple (late 30s), inhabited the Margarita domicile. Everything really fit and we felt comfortable from the first minute. From the nice landlady to the cleanliness and great location, it was perfect. The apartment is suitable for a maximum of two adults and one child.

We (48m, 49w) spent a relaxing 2.5 weeks here in a holiday flat "up on the mountain". The domicile is clean, well equipped, mosquito blinds, 3 balconies (and a view of the next finger, the Mani) and very nice landlords let us recommend this place. The private bay is included, 10 min walk to the small pebble beach. If you want to discover a lot (and there is!), you have to allow for some time in the car from here.

A fantastically quietly located holiday flat with a fantastic view of the sea. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired and the landlady Margarita helps out with everything you might need. Thanks to her kitchen appliances, we were even able to bake a birthday cake :-) Thanks to the uncomplicated hospitality of Margarita and Eugen, you quickly feel at home on the property. This was our 2nd time in Koroni and it will certainly not be the last.

We can only agree with the previous very good reviews. The house is in a dreamlike and very quiet location, the holiday flat is very nice, the beach is just wonderful. It happened that we were alone on the beach for hours. Koroni itself is a nice Greek town, not built up with hotel bunkers, and without the usual tourist shops with air mattresses ... The host family is very nice and very helpful. We were there for 14 days and would have liked to stay longer. Many greetings again to Margarita & her family.

Fantastic holiday flat high above the bay of Koroni - the approach from the main road, however, is only something for experienced drivers who can also drive uphill. The view fully compensates! 2 balconies to the sea and a large terrace to the land side, the holiday flat is very nice and and several cats. In addition, a beautiful bay which can be reached via stairs (not suitable for those with foot problems, however), which can be reached via winding paths and stairs. Koroni is a few kilometres away and can only be reached by car, this also applies to shopping facilities, which did not bother us. We would definitely like to come back!
