Kaštel - Castelvenere The top of the hill, from which the view of the valley of the Dragonja River stretches, was inhabited already in prehistoric times. The archaeological excavations on the slopes clearly indicate the presence of a fortified castle, which was of strategic importance in view of its location. After the Roman conquests, the castle became a castrum and was named Castrum Veneris, probably in connection with the temple dedicated to a pagan goddess. According to another interpretation, the toponym refers to Castrum venae, after the line of the hill on which the settlement is located. Near the new settlement, which developed a few hundred meters from the ancient settlement, where you can still see the ruins of the ancient fortress walls, there are some villages like Plovanija, Kaldanija and others.

Information about the journey to UmagArrival from the west passes through Slovenia. Pass Koper, turn right in Koper from A1 (sign PULA Porec - HR) and continue on E751 Smarska Cesta direction Croatian border crossing Kastel. Kastel (Kastelvenere) is the first village behind the border. 400m after the border turn left (sign Kastel - Kastelvenere). In Kastel follow sign UMAG. After 350m turn right at a chapel. There is a sign Vizinada where your destination is. After about 50m on the right side you will find your holiday home. Have a nice holiday in our house. House is located about 2 km from the border.

Familie mit Kinder
Der Urlaub in Villa Ana ist für mich wahrhaftig etwas Besonderes, viele schöne Erinnerungen binden mich an diesen Ort. Die Ordentlichkeit des Hauses und die Ruhe in der Nachbarschaft bieten eine gute Atmosphäre zum Ausruhen und Erholung vom stressigen Alltag, den wir alle täglich erleben. Der Pool ist auch ein Vorteil, der sicherlich von Menschen mit Kindern geschätzt wird. Ich würde dieses Haus definitiv empfehlen!
