The holiday home with its own outdoor pool in a quiet, sunny location with a panoramic view of the town and the Thuringian Forest. 440 m above sea level you will spend your vacation in a cozy house with a garden. After a refreshing dip in the pool, the sunbathing lawn or the seating area is perfect for relaxing hours outdoors. Should the weather not cooperate, you can spend time in the living room with a fireplace and enjoy the view.
The municipality of Nahetal-Waldau in the middle of the Thuringian Forest Nature Park consists of five small towns with a total of around 3,500 inhabitants, one of which is Waldau. In the immediate vicinity are forest and meadow paths and a cycle path. The mountain lake Ratscher is only 2.5 km away and the Vessertal, the most beautiful valley in Central Germany, can be reached in a few minutes.

Activities nearby: Waldau is an ideal starting point for hikes. Just around the corner is the Vessertal with some beautiful circular hiking trails. It is about 15 km to the Rennsteig, a hiking trail about 170 kilometers long with various entry points and signposted routes. At the nearby mountain lake Ratscher you will find plenty of opportunities for water sports and swimming. The summer toboggan run in Waffenrodt and the adjacent adventure playground are worthwhile destinations, especially for families with children. There are also many castles and palaces in the area, as well as museums on various themes. Mobility: Not suitable for people with limited mobility
