With 700-720 metres above sea level, Schnett in Thuringia is one of the highest localities of the upper woodlands, where snow is guaranteed. Here, you will find this house resting peacefully! Countless possibilities await visitors in the summer as well as in the winter season. At an altitude with a relatively high snow guarantee, one can ski down the slopes without a long wait at the ski lifts. This is a real advantage of the ski areas in the Thuringian Forest, and they are therefore attractive winter sports destinations. The Masserberg region offers three ski lift systems in Masserberg, Fehrenbach and Heubach. The extensive net of ski trails, cross-country skiing trails and winter hiking trails as well as a 400-metre long and well-prepared sledging track round off the leisure programs. Popular excursions: Sea Aquarium Zella Mehlis (25km), Weimar (70km), Erfurt (60km). The charming town is located on Mount Simmersberg's southern slope and from its summit you can enjoy the panoramic views over Thuringia and Franconia.
On the ground floor, you have a nice kitchen which is equipped for preparing delicious meals and drinks. The living/dining room is an ideal place with a seating area and a woodstove for keeping you cosy and warm. There is a radio on which you can listen songs while relaxing on the veranda. The parking facility and a high-chair is also available here.

Nice house. Small downsides: Shower is a bit low, living room somewhat dark and a hanging bench that you can not sit comfortably on.

Check-in went fine, we called a few minutes in advance with the owner, who was there within ten minutes to hand over the key. Area is nice, lots of forest and nature. The house looks fine, has not skimped on the quality of the device.

Good receipt with issuing key. House was clean. Surrounding area beautiful. Bike trails were of gravel and with the rain we had, too slippery for regular bikes. For cross-country bikes the area is perfect.

Called the landlord after arrival, it was there within 10 minutes. Accommodation was good, neat, modern, fully furnished. A minor downside is the comfort of the couch, it is downright bad. Environment is beautiful, very suitable for walkers.
