Pretty holiday home with a fireplace and a large terrace. Due to the hillside location, you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Harz mountains. Only 500 meters away is the Hotel Tannenpark, whose sauna area and indoor pool you can use for a fee - a relaxing thing after a long hike!
The small town of Tanne is a real traditional town and is embedded in beautiful coniferous forests at an altitude of 500 meters. All guests of Tanne can explore the impressive nature in an exciting way on extensive hiking and cycling trails as well as on the 7.5-kilometer circular hiking trail with information boards.

Activities nearby: whether it's hiking or mountain biking, a boisterous family holiday with children or a culturally and historically interesting trip with friends: there is something for everyone in the Harz National Park. The loveliest hiking trails lead almost to the front door of your holiday home and promise you incomparable impressions of nature. A great alternative to climbing the Brocken is a hike to the Wurmberg in Braunlage. Lower Saxony's highest mountain is easy to conquer even for inexperienced alpinists and offers you an almost equally spectacular panorama when the visibility is good. How about a detour to the high ropes course in St. Andreasberg.

Nice little house, but no curtains upstairs and the heating is difficult to set properly. Unfortunately, the layout upstairs is a bit impractical.

The house has aged. The wooden floor is very worn. The tiled floors in the kitchen corner, in the hallway, and in the bathroom are cracked and/or the joints have come loose. The heating system cannot be regulated understandably - either extremely hot or occasionally off. Furthermore, cleanliness leaves much to be desired: cobwebs inside and outside, the floor (the small corners) unclean, dog hair everywhere, and there were 6 large piles of dog feces on the property (in one, I naturally had to step). The beds are very small and the wooden floor creaks endlessly, so a trip to the bathroom wakes up all the sleepers. Moreover, there is hardly any standard equipment such as toilet paper, salt, pepper, cleaning supplies, or dishwasher tabs available. The hotel located 600 m away offers a small swimming pool (without soundproofing) with a tiny changing room and noticeable chlorination.

Nice house that offers everything you need. It is very private, parking is possible on site and from the veranda you have a beautiful view. The garden is large and fenced, which is ideal if you have brought your dog(s). Great base for day trips or just a walk in the area. We really had a wonderful week here! Small point of attention: we have a large dog, but he managed to crawl under the gate at a certain point (after a bitch in heat). We solved that by placing a container in that spot, but perhaps the manager/owner can take a look at that, as well as the sliding lock of the gate because it is loose.
