After a thorough renovation, an individual, comfortable holiday home for 4-5 persons has been created, which offers modern comfort. Air conditioning/heating is available
In the house a staircase leads up to the 1st floor. Here 3 bedrooms offer place for altogether 4+1 persons, one with double bed, one with single or double bed and the third with single bed. Each bedroom has a balcony or a window with sea view. There is also a bathroom (without shower) on this level
The living area is on the 2nd floor: The living room has a beautiful brick kitchenette with stove (induction), oven, fridge and freezer. In addition to a storage room and another bathroom (with shower) there is also access to the spacious panoramic terrace, which offers breathtaking sea views. An ideal place to end the day in a cosy way - perhaps with a good drop of wine - and to forge plans for further discoveries and activities.

The fishing village of Sant' Elia belongs to the municipality of Santa Flavia and is located 19 km east of Palermo, on the Tyrrhenian Sea
In the vicinity of Sant'Elia there are both rocky and sandy coves. A boat rental is available. There are 3 beach bars and kiosks on the beach available for bathers. A supermarket guarantees the food supply

The municipality of Santa Flavia includes the village of Sant'Elia, the fishing port of Porticello and Solanto. Santa Flavia is connected to the Messina-Palermo railway line
The neighbouring municipalities are Bagheria, Casteldaccia and Misilmeri. On the territory of today's municipality lay the ancient town of Solunt (Latin: Soluntum, German: Solunt). Solunt was founded in the fourth century BC. In 250 the Romans conquered the city. After that, Solunt lost his significance. The excavation sites and the antiquarium of the old town of Solunt with the remains of a typical Roman town at the time of the birth of Christ can still be visited today. The present place developed around the Norman fort of Solanto
An interesting excursion destination in the surrounding area is Capo Zafferano, a rocky cape (226 m high) with an active lighthouse at its top.
Also Bagheria with its districts Aspra and Mongerbino is worth a visit. Aspra is known for its rich lemon plantations. In Mongerbino there are untouched, small beaches. Many wealthy inhabitants of Palermo have settled here. The baroque villas of Bagheria (Villa Trabía, Villa Palagonia, Villa Cattolica and many others) are well known. The Italian writer Dacia Maraini described this village from her own experience in her book "Bagheria - A Childhood in Sicily". There is also a museum of the Bagheria-born painter Renato Guttuso in the village.

In the afternoon, when the local fishermen return, it is possible to buy freshly caught fish directly from them. In Sant' Elia there is also the possibility to rent boats

Great holiday home
Perfectly equipped holiday home with everything you need. Ideal for up to 4 people. Super sea view from the roof terrace. Shopping facilities within walking distance. Small beach with swimming possibility (with water shoes because the water is stony) directly in front of the door. Safe parking directly in front of the house. The landlord (contact in Italian and English) is very friendly and helpful.
