Location and surroundings of object
The flat is very centrally located: the main sights (Norman Palace, San Giovanni degli Eremiti, Cathedral, Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria, Capo and Ballarò city markets, Teatro Massimo opera house) are within two kilometres. The airport metro and the central bus stop "Piazza Indipendenza" can be reached in a few minutes on foot (400 m). The main railway station and central bus station for intercity buses are also only 2.4 km away, so that excursions into the surrounding area can be made comfortably and inexpensively by public transport. The nearest sandy beach is in the seaside resort of Mondello, 11.9 km away. The island of Sicily is not only characterised by a beautiful landscape, but also by an enormous cultural diversity. The reason lies in history, after all, such different peoples as the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans or Spaniards have left their traces here. For example, in the architecture, art, cuisine, but also in the way of life of the people. The lively island capital Palermo is undoubtedly particularly interesting in Sicily. As a true "città d'arte", or city of culture and art, the southern Italian metropolis offers an enormous flood of interesting museums, magnificent "palazzi", impressive churches and beautiful parks. In addition, excursions into the surrounding area - to Cefalù, Segesta, Selinunte, Agrigento or Erice - can be easily made from Palermo, either by public transport or by car.

absolute recommendation
Very nice helpful landlady; has many good tips. Don't be put off by the staircase - the flat is very well equipped, clean and well maintained. The balcony was our highlight - it is spacious and protected. Despite the lively city life outside, the flat itself is well soundproofed. Sights and shops are within easy reach.

Beautiful holiday flat in a good location
Newer apartment on the 2nd floor of an older house, narrow stairs, good beds with decent mattresses of medium firmness, air-conditioning in all rooms, not too loud - soundproofed windows.
Shops and pizzeria within a few minutes, old town centre, churches, markets and museums within easy walking distance. Parking always available nearby.

Superbly equipped flat in an ideal location
The flat is top modernised and has everything your heart desires to make your stay pleasant. The balcony is an oasis of calm after a turbulent day in Palermo. We didn't miss anything and felt very comfortable in this flat. Compared to other flats in Palermo, this one is actually super cheap and very comfortable.
Most of the sights can be reached on foot, the metro and the bus stop are practically around the corner. All excursions to the surrounding countryside or inland can be easily organised from here
The landlady is very nice, helpful and gives super good tips for excursions. She welcomed us with a good bottle of Sicilian wine and was there to help us with any questions we had. We will definitely rent this flat again when we travel to Palermo. We had a great week and are very grateful that we found this beautiful flat.

Nice and affordably located apartment with a warm landlady.
The apartment is conveniently and beautifully located, is very nice and practical (enough storage space in the bathroom, large wardrobe, shoe rack, internet...) with two bedrooms (each with a bathroom), a dining/living room with TV and music system, a very well-equipped kitchen, and has a wind-protected, sun-soaked balcony. It is equally suitable for couples, families up to 4 people, and friends, and offers everything for a pleasant stay in this interesting city. A big plus is the very sympathetic landlord, who can provide helpful tips in German. Gladly again!! Probably still this year...

Well-kept vacation rental, very nice landlady!
We rented the vacation apartment for 1 week at the end of August 2013 and felt completely comfortable there as a couple. The location is central in the old town, so we were able to explore the surroundings on foot and take worthwhile short trips. Public transportation is also easily accessible. The perfect kitchen equipment made it possible to cook to our heart's content, even candles and flower vases were thought of. Everything is well-maintained and clean, lovingly furnished, each window equipped with mosquito screens (for which we were grateful), and we often enjoyed sitting on the balcony, eating there, and being able to look into the distance. The contact with the friendly landlady is uncomplicated; she is helpful, accessible, and gives wonderful recommendations for trips and restaurants. We will gladly return to Sicily and then definitely rent this apartment again. Warm regards from Franconia!

Great apartment at a great price
Lovingly furnished apartment, everything brand new, clean, well maintained, everything is available in the kitchen. Air conditioning, mosquito nets. With the TV you can receive pretty much all German and Italian channels. Stereo system. Safe. Large balcony with idyllic views of the park, mountains in the background, directly below the gardens of the neighbors and the bustling life. Small French balcony overlooking Corso Pisani.
Really the only drawback: the stairwell is in need of renovation. Close your eyes and go for it, the apartment makes up for it!
Location: central, 5 minutes' walk to the bus stop at Piazza Indipendenza, 5 minutes to the Norman Palace, 15 minutes to the cathedral. Nevertheless, located in a quiet area.
Shopping facilities in close proximity. Good take-away pizzeria almost next door.
Free parking is usually available on the street, sometimes 100m away.
Folder with operating instructions, many good tips and various information is available. Very friendly, helpful landlady.
Due to its size, the two bedrooms each with their own bathroom, and the excellent facilities, the apartment is ideal for families as well as couples.
Due to its convenient location, the apartment is an excellent starting point not only for exploring the city of Palermo, but also the surrounding area. The highway and public transportation (e.g. airport, Cefalù, Monreale) are easily and conveniently accessible.
For all of this, we found the price to be absolutely reasonable.
We spent 8 days in the apartment during the height of summer and felt very comfortable there. We are already looking forward to our next stay at Casa Parco d'Orleans.

Quiet and yet in the middle of the city
Palermo is a bustling city. So a retreat to the small terrace with a view into the courtyard is good! Well-equipped apartment and everything works!
