Description
The first of our three beach houses on the west beach of Grossenbrode.
Just a few steps from the beach, our houses combine the tranquility of the coastal landscape with the luxury of modern architecture. Light-filled rooms, high-quality materials, and thoughtful details make every stay a special experience. Dogs, even in greater numbers, are always welcome.
Even in winter, thanks to the 4m sliding element, you are almost sitting in the garden, and in summer, with a west wind, you can hear the waves and seagulls. 3 min walk and your four-legged friend is allowed to run free on the beach and the surf/kiteboard can go into the water.
Maritime interior made of brushed solid wood, gray rattan, Italian stone countertop (selected on site) and handcrafted solid wood washstand, dining table & coffee table made of steel and gnarled elm, real wood parquet as well as 2 bathrooms (one of them en suite from the master bedroom). Walk-in rain showers and underfloor and wall heating. Washing machine. We love good beds: that’s why ours are equipped with pocket spring mattresses and the highest quality toppers from Dormabell. You will sleep in a 1.80m large rattan bed or in 2 hotel box spring beds with a total size of 180*200.
Wi-Fi, flatscreen, radio/CD, and Bose Bluetooth provide the technology, while the handcrafted fireplace and the cozy sofa create comfort in the living area.
Our kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, and the Delonghi fully automatic coffee machine delivers barista-worthy cappuccino & more. Living indoors and outdoors is part of our vacation: that’s why our Strandgut stands freely in a large garden with a big charcoal grill and herb bed, 2 large dining tables on the spacious south or smaller west terrace offer sun or shade as you prefer.
And finally, relaxation and wellness are not neglected thanks to the outdoor sauna & shower. Menthol crystals and sauna fragrance oils are always included with us. Grab a cozy blanket and relax on one of the loungers to pass the time until the next sauna session.
150m of private path separate us from the "Dogs allowed even in summer beach."
Dogs are allowed at Treibgut, but please let us know the breed (or size, weight).
Our property is enclosed with hedges, but not completely fenced in. A parking space for up to 2 cars is located on the property. (since we are constantly renovating our (now) 4-year-old house to maintain the "new" status, our driftwood along with the sauna is now stained gray and the terrace table has been replaced by a large concrete table)

Location and surroundings of object
We are located on the narrow headland off Fehmarn and have practically "island weather". The house is 200m from the west beach via a private path. No beach chairs but kiting , surfing & dogs allowed at the beach also in summer. If you are looking for peace & relaxation, this is the right place for you.

We are now here for the second time.
Vacation started already at the key handover. Thanks to Uli. Ideal for unwinding and relaxing. Short distances to the beach. Very nice house in a quiet location. We will come back.

We were here for the first time. Nothing was missing. Very nice holiday home close to the beach, quiet location with everything you need. We have recovered well. Thank you to the Rimbeck Igler family for making it possible to arrive a day earlier. We will definitely come back again.

Perfect
The house, the furnishings, the location, and the reception were perfect. It was a great short vacation and we felt very comfortable. If you are looking for some peace and quiet and no hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place to be! We would come back anytime.

Holiday at its best
Strandhaus Treibgut is a dream house where nothing is missing.
We felt very comfortable from the first minute. When the wind and the weather have their moods, you enjoy the cosiness by the fireplace, the tasteful furnishings with the loving accessories and the view of the terrace/garden/pond from the panorama door or you fire up the sauna in the garden. You can enjoy the sun all day long on first-class loungers. The beach is only a stone's throw away, a dream for dogs and kite surfing.
