Description
The apartment is located in the left part of the building (350m above sea level in the beautiful village "Breña Alta") and consists of a large bright living room with a well equipped kitchen (coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave with oven) with a comfortable sofa bed (0,90x2,00) and 2 comfortable armchairs for nice TV evenings or reading hours. A baby high chair is available (on request). The living room has a wonderful view of the private terrace, the garden and the sea. There is also a nice sitting area at the electric fireplace. The bedroom consists of a double bed (, with a single large continuous mattress) plus a separate single bed (), 2 cupboards, shelves and a large mirror. A baby cot is available free of charge (on request). The bathroom has a bathtub, make-up mirror and hairdryer
The bedroom and the bathroom are accessible via a covered outside staircase from the kitchen-living room.
The private terrace (with mountain and lateral sea view) has 2 comfortable deckchairs with cushions and a dining table with brick bench, 2 chairs and parasol, so ideal for nice breakfasts. In the own garden there is a brick grill with a large dining table for 6 persons, perfect for great barbecue evenings plus a small separate sitting area with table and 2 chairs. Pets are welcome up to 15 kg (on request, price 8€/night, deposit 200€). We have prepared special tips for our pawed guests, what you can do together with your master or mistress on the island and in the house we have prepared feeding bowls, beds and toys so that the holiday for everyone is really great.
Additional comfort is provided by 2 electric heaters and various accessories, including information material about the island, beach toys, board games, books, CDs, beach towels (free, on request) and a CD player with radio. Also free WLAN and SAT TV.
There is also a washing machine which can be used free of charge (covered clothesline available)
The "Casa Papaya 2" (about 55 m2 plus large terrace and garden) is located together with the "Casa Papaya 1", about 70 m2 plus partially covered terrace, (see advertisement here at ) in the same building, both together have a capacity for a total of 9 people (children up to 12 years stay free), so it is perfect for example when you travel with grandparents or friends. Everyone has their own big apartment, but in the same building. There is also a common garden where you can observe my numerous turtles, visit the spoiled cats or harvest aromatic herbs such as basil, sage, parsley, lemon verbena, peppermint

The house is located in a small, quiet village in the municipality of Breña Alta, about 350m above sea level.
There is the possibility to buy organic fruit and vegetables within about 20 minutes on foot, and a very well-stocked supermarket is only 10 minutes away on foot.
The nearest town can be reached after 1.5 km. There you will find several ATMs, a health food store, pharmacy, butcher, bakery, bars, gas station, post office, and other shops as well as a very good ice cream shop (Helados Taburiente). One of the island's most famous hiking trails, the "Camino de las Fuentes", begins right in front of the house. Also beautiful places such as the famous dragon trees of Breña Alta ("Dragos gemelos", 10 minutes on foot), the cigar museum and the museum of the Cross Festival, the farmers' markets of Breña Alta and Mazo, the beautiful beach of "Los Cancajos", the viewpoint of "La Concepción" with a view of the capital and the south of the island, the famous and sweet grill restaurant "Chipi Chipi", the capital Santa Cruz (only 15 minutes by car away) with its beautiful old town, the island and the ship museum, the fantastic city market, etc. Also near the house, in "Las Nieves", you can visit the most important church on the island. Just a step further, you will find the road up to the Roque de los Muchachos, where one of the most important observatories in the world is located.
The island's airport and port are only 15 minutes away by car, without you hearing or noticing anything from them.

Here is the translation to English: The full amount is to be paid 29 days before arrival. If the booking is cancelled after this, the amount can be used for a stay at another time (in any of the three holiday homes on the finca), or the credit can be transferred to friends or relatives.

A bus stop is about 5 minutes walk from the house and you can easily order taxis almost to the house. I recommend a rental car as this is the best way to explore the island.
The hiking trails (more than 1000 km!) are well signposted.

Dream holiday in dream house
We were allowed to be guests as a young family for 14 days in the dreamlike Casa Papaya 2. The planting and decoration of the terrace(s) and garden are a dream. Everything was thought of for our little one (1.5 years) (baby bath, beach toys, painting materials, cuddly toys, baby cot, door gate, ...). An ideal accommodation for children - and in combination with the other units of the finca also for multi-generational holidays. We didn't miss anything in the way of equipment, the kitchen is also very suitable for larger cooking events. Beautiful beaches and the capital as well as the west side of the island are easily accessible by rental car. Thank you Lucy for the hospitable welcome and your "taking care" of our well-being ;-)

4 months in Apartment Papaya 2
First of all, MANY THANKS to Lucy, Anyelo and Lolo ...... the cat! Hardly possible to take even better care of the guests! Thanks to the beautiful island and various web cams, I was able to hike almost daily in 16 weeks, which unfortunately meant that I actually used and enjoyed the great and extremely lavishly equipped accommodation far too little. Next time I will (maybe) change that ;-)

The Pearl of La Palma
We stayed at Casa Papaya 2 for the first time and could not find words to describe what Lucy has created here. It can hardly be topped , the equipment : from walking sticks to books , games etc. it is hard to beat . The location is amazing (view of the sea and the mountains) and the garden is second to none . Also the large terrace with hammock and barbecue and sitting area . We even had a holiday replacement "Lola" for our house cats , pets are very welcome here ! Oh yes, there is the "unique" Lucy who you can ask anything and likes to have a chat. We will definitely be back next year, with reinforcements.

What a great house for a reasonable price. The first stay we booked through Airbnb and the others directly through the owner. Plenty of space in the house with a well thought out room concept and you find a lovely little something in every corner you look at or see the green thumb of the super nice hostess Lucy
Casa Papaya2 is very tastefully furnished and excellently equipped. The upper terrace offers space to relax with loungers and chairs and a table for eating, the lower terrace is in the lovingly landscaped garden with a barbecue. We found parking in front of the entrance without any problems. The contact with the landlady Lucy was very warm and uncomplicated. Her tips for restaurants, walks or markets on the island, etc. were very helpful. We will always come back to Casa Papaya2! Highly recommended.

(By the way, the same applies to the house next door, "Papaya 1", which we had also booked in 2021)
The view is balm for the soul!
The spacious terrace and the private garden as well as the sun-flooded living room/kitchen are fantastic. The entire furnishing is top notch
Lucy's cordiality in dealing with her guests makes you feel at home
Special questions and wishes are answered and fulfilled immediately.
Have fun and relax at "Finca Suculenta" and enjoy the many possible activities on the beautiful island!
