Since we, the Plattner family, know stress and hectic all too well, we deliberately created a domicile for those seeking relaxation, nature lovers, hobby chefs and connoisseurs - our holiday home. Our house was rated among the 5 most beautiful holiday homes in Tyrol and is equipped with every comfort. A place to feel good, to relax, to feel accepted.

Every season has many faces.
We have tried many things and can not decide what for us the most beautiful summer with nature on Du.
The deep blue Piburger Lake, nestled in the mountains,
which invites you to swim, hike, fish or go boating, or find a sporting challenge by bike. The extensive cycling and biking network ranges from leisurely rides along rivers and forests to lofty heights on alpine pastures and even up to the summit cross.
For those who want to go high or love the thrill, the Ötztal offers a lot:

If you like it quieter enjoy the sun on the panoramic terrace, read a good book, or just close your eyes and inner peace Ötztal all the way - the winter fun begins!
Wonderful walks and snow hikes, fun tobogganing on the illuminated toboggan run, well-prepared cross-country ski trails await you, or follow in the footsteps of Yeti in winter with free ski bus to the nearby Hoch-Oetz ski area for families and beginners

Winter romantics will feel at home at Lake Piburg - frozen over, it's a paradise for ice skaters and ice shooters. The hiking trails to and around this natural jewel can hardly be surpassed in beauty. The illuminated toboggan run to the lake is open until 11 p.m
In no other season can you see and use the variety of nature around Piburg as well as in the summer months. A romantic walk along the Piburgersee, an evening excursion to the old village centre or a hiking tour to the Hochoetz alpine pasture region are just as inviting as the many sporting opportunities to spend the summer in Oetz and take home unforgettable impressions SEE
Originally the hollow of the lake was an old valley furrow parallel to the Ötztal. After the last ice age, a huge landslide blocked this depression at its south-eastern end and covered the entire valley floor. As a result, a lake has dammed up. Due to its location in the crystal rock, Lake Piburg has very soft water. In high summer the surface temperature rises up to 24 °C. Due to its extremely scenic location, the lake is a popular destination for swimmers and hikers.
WINTER:
Oetz, the village that gave the Ötztal its name, is considered the first classic winter sports centre in the valley because of its location in the Vorderes Ötztal. Our local ski buses take you comfortably from one end of the village to the other every quarter of an hour. With the new 8-person gondola lift you can reach the Hochoetz ski area in 8 minutes, which offers 34 kilometres of groomed slopes for the whole family, skiing and snowboarding fun at its best.
