The log cabin is in the neighbourhood of the log cabin Kranichruf, which we also rent out. It has 2 bedrooms and a spacious floor with sleeping accommodation for 2 people (also well suited as a play and recreation room for children) .The open kitchen is equipped with all comforts, bathroom and living room are equipped with underfloor heating. A wood-burning stove in the living room provides cosy warmth when the outside temperature is appropriate. The furnishings are to a large extent furnished on our own initiative with loving details.
The house has a terrace on 3 sides. This is furnished. Car parking spaces (2) and a bicycle shed with 6 bicycles as well as a children's bike and bicycle trailer are directly in front of the house.
The house and its location offer peace and relaxation.

Location and surroundings of object

The log house Kranich and the neighbouring house Kranichruf are located in Bodstedt on Pruchtener Weg in the immediate vicinity of the Bodstedter Bodden. The Bodden water separates the Fischland Darß Baltic Sea peninsula from our two log houses. Bathing and sunbathing at the Bodden about 5 minutes by bike and to the white Baltic beaches about 10 km as well as many other activities complete your stay. For cyclists, the established cycle paths around the Bodden and along the Baltic Sea (see Baltic Sea Cycle Path) are a welcome change.
The cycle path is only 2 min away from the houses. It is recommended to cycle around the Bodden, where the Baltic Sea beaches are integrated, for about 85 km. You can also use the ferries that connect Bodstedt with the Darß.
The Baltic Sea peninsula Darß with the well-known places Zingst ,Prerow and Ahrenshoop and the wonderful white Baltic Sea beaches complete the spectrum.
But Rostock and Stralsund can also be reached by car in a short time and offer the typical flair of the Hanseatic cities with their harbours and old town areas.
Barth with its newly built harbour is only 3 km away. Here you can also do all your shopping. The bakery in Pruchten is to be recommended and offers in the morning

A natural spectacle in spring and autumn are the migrating and resting cranes, which can often be observed in the immediate vicinity. They often fly over the two log cabins to the feeding grounds.
See also the observation stands in Zingst and the crane centre in Groß Mohrdorf.
But the inland with old village churches, former manor houses and brick buildings also complement the stay.
There is also the possibility of canoeing on the Recknitz and visiting the bird park in Marlow

There are 3 restaurants in Bodstedt, one of which is directly at the harbour. Caffee Wolli is only 2 minutes away from the log cabins.
A lot of information can be obtained at the Zingst pier with its tourist information office.
The photo lectures and permanent exhibitions (high-quality photo complexes) are recommended.
