Description
The cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests. In the attic there is the possibility of 3 more simple beds. The house has gas central heating, a wood-burning stove and a garden house with sauna. The house has a small porch. Downstairs there is a hall with access to a large shower room (massage shower) with WC. Living room with open kitchen contains self-made Erzgebirgische pieces. The open kitchen is equipped with comfort. A cosy dining area and seating area in front of the fireplace with a view of the Erzgebirge mountains emphasise the typical idyll in the mountains. From the living room there is access to the terrace with a self-built rustic seating group. The garden house with sauna is adjacent to the terrace
On the upper floor there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with WC. 1 bedroom can be occupied with 2 additional sleeping possibilities (pull-out couch).
As already mentioned, the floor can be occupied by simple bed camps with approx. 3 persons.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located at the end of a road coming from Friedebach. There are 5 other houses in the immediate vicinity, the Waldhotel Kreuztanne is about 200 m away. A large playground with good sports activities is attached to the hotel, and a mini-golf course is also very good for children. The famous Kammweg (beginning in Altenberg, end in Thuringia with a length of over 250 km) leads past the holiday home. In summer an ideal hiking area with bathing possibilities . a forest pond. The border to Bohemia (Czech Republic), not far away, is an interesting terrain with heights around 800m
In winter there is the possibility of cross-country skiing on groomed cross-country skiing trails, which pass directly by the house.
Alpine winter sports with lifts are available in Holzhau, about 20 minutes away, or on the Czech side, about 15 minutes away.
Seiffen, about 10 km away, with its traditional Erzgebirge folk art is always worth a visit, especially during Advent and Christmas time, when you can marvel at the houses and illuminated windows decorated with candle arches and lots of love.
During this time our house is also lovingly decorated with all the Erzgebirge things and gives a touch of the unique atmosphere of the Erzgebirge.
Blockhausen is also worth a visit, about 10 km away, with its beautiful chainsaw works of art. World championships in chainsawing have already taken place here.
Freiberg with its mining academy (oldest in the world) and unique mineral collection is 30 minutes away by car.
Dresden is about 1 hour away by car
Even the golden city of Prague is about 1.5 hours away by car.
There are mines in the area that provide information about silver mining in the past.
In the neighbouring town of Neuhausen, the museum with the most and the largest nutcracker in the world invites you to visit.

Experience is the mountain inn on the Schwartenberg (approx. 8 km) at an altitude of 800 m with a beautiful view as far as the Fichtelberg.
But you can also try Bohemian cuisine on the Czech side (approx. 10 km).

lovingly and perfectly equipped holiday home
The house had everything we needed. It was perfectly furnished for our family vacation, there was even a sled. We especially liked that there was a large room (kitchen/dining area/living room) where we could easily spend time together, even during bad weather. The fireplace provided additional pleasant warmth, and overall it was nice and warm. We also enjoyed using the sauna. The landlords were very nice and always available for questions. When you leave the house, you are directly on the hiking trail, and there is also a large playground nearby. Highly recommended!!!
