Description
Comfortable bungalow, detached, situated in a gently sloping urbanisation created by Norwegians - directly on the Famara beach (worldwide known as surf hotspot). The house is situated in a private road secured by a barrier - 50m to the beach, directly bordering a protected property and with panoramic views of the sea, a small fishing village and the volcanic mountains. The bay of Famara with the mentioned urbanisation and the small fishing village are located in a huge nature reserve incl. the steep slopes "El Risco", which rise in the back of the complex up to about 500m.
The bungalow has a semi-circular floor area, which is adjoined by an equally large panoramic terrace with wind and lava stone walls. The spacious living-dining area has an 8m panoramic glass front with sliding doors (window front and all windows of the bungalow were renewed in 2019). Fantastic sunsets between the volcanic mountains on the horizon can thus be observed from the living room as well as from the cosy sitting corner of the terrace.
Both double bedrooms have a double bed ( x m) with 5-zone comfort slatted frames. Furthermore: children's room with bunk bed, 2 daylight shower baths (each with shower and WC, in the larger one incl. walled washing machine), separate kitchen.
The living area is equipped with a large flat screen TV, satellite TV and DVD player.

Location and surroundings of object
Famara is located in the north of the island - so not in the (too) touristy south. Coming from Arrecife airport (south coast) by rental car you reach Famara in 25 minutes and cross the island on very well constructed roads through the volcanic beauty of the Lanzarote landscape.
Your holiday home is in a privileged and quiet location (50m from the beach) in an urbanisation built by Norwegians in the middle of a nature reserve. Within the urbanisation there is a small shop with products for household and kitchen (fresh bread in the morning), a yoga studio, a surf school and since summer 2019 a newly opened speciality restaurant ("Dunas de Famara") with sun terrace - all only 200m away from the bungalow.
The only neighbouring village "Caleta de Famara" (fishing village and surf centre) can be reached by car or by a picturesque 1 km walk along the beach (you can also get back after a visit to the ). Several restaurants, cafés and restaurants can be found there (including the well-known restaurant "El Risco") - but also a supermarket and surf and skate shops.
The next village is the former island capital Teguise, 10 km away (very authentically preserved and famous for the big market on Saturday).

Second time in this beautiful bungalow
The location with the view is magical. We were here once before in 2014 and the current stay leaves nothing to be desired

Very nice stay!
We stayed in Famara lanzarote for 9 days, and have enjoyed the amazing view from the house over the ocean and beautifull volcano landscape. The house was clean and confortable with everything available (the only thing we could not find was a sunshade for outside), the weather was really good! Shop and restaurant nearby and famara town on walking distance. We have been hiking, surfing and doing yoga (surfshop and yoga around the corner) and enjoying the island. The local lady was very helpfull. We will come back! Regards Marjolein

Christoph Meyer-Josten is German, Maria Meyer-Josten comes from Lisbon and our 13-year-old daughter Sarah was born and raised in Spain - therefore all 3 languages are spoken equally at home. In our free time we enjoy beach life and sailing - on holiday in Lanzarote we are always thrilled by the archaic landscape and the tranquility of Famara, as well as by bodysurfing (all three) and surfing (daughter Sarah).
