Dear guests ! We enjoy living in the WIENERWALD and yet within an hour we can reach WIEN MITTE to immerse ourselves in the life of a wonderful big city. You need a car / rental car.
The DONAUTAL WACHAU with its historical and cultural offers, monasteries and castles in a wonderful landscape is best combined with a boat trip on the Danube and the tasting of a portion of apricot dumplings.
The renovated robber baron's castle Aggstein with Nibelungen exhibition high above the Danube is an experience for adults and children. The same goes for the ruins of Dürnstein, where you will be informed about many historical details (King Richard the Lionheart/ Singer Blondel etc.) and legends as you climb up. Here you will also meet the magnificent green lizards on the Sonnseitn and enjoy a wonderful view of the Danube valley.
Another world opens up around Lake NEUSIEDLER SEE, where the Pannonian climate shapes the flora and fauna. Atmospheric evenings with concerts and operettas on the lake stage in Mörbisch and the village of Rust am See with its stork nests on the chimneys will not be forgotten so quickly. Numerous shipping offers and Heurigen evenings with gypsy music - bring a great holiday feeling.
Guided tours through the EMPEROR CITY of BADEN BEIEN WIEN and in the EMPEROR CASTLE LAXENBURG provide insights and background information into the history and "stories" of the imperial families and their retinue, who supported various forms of artistic activity (Beethoven ) in Baden
For hiking and climbing enthusiasts and hang-gliders, there are the HOHE WAND (1135) Nature Park, Sky Walk, RAXALPE (2009m), SCHNEEBERG (2075m) and SEMMERING, where you can also use lifts (mountain roads, gondolas, rack railways) to reach the plateau walks. Flight schools for beginners to hang gliding. Numerous well-managed mountain huts and a fantastic panorama are the reward for your enterprise

Dear guests ! We are private landlords of our holiday apartment Föhrenwald and enjoy living in the Vienna Woods ourselves, yet within an hour we can be in the centre of Vienna to immerse ourselves in the life of a wonderful big city. We enjoy walking for half an hour through the pine forest and are located in the middle of the imperial city of Baden. Connoisseurs, history lovers, casino lovers, horse sport enthusiasts, those seeking peace and quiet and last but not least spa guests will find what they are looking for here. The city centre, extensive parks, the Rosarium and the cultural witnesses of the emperor's residence time are worth seeing and impressive. The cosy part is represented by our Heurigen offer in the thermal region south of Vienna. Bratislava, the World Heritage Sites Danube Valley Wachau and Lake Neusiedl, the mountain regions Raxalpe, Schneeberg and the Semmering area - all this you can reach from our holiday flat Föhrenwald in an hour's drive or less.
