Bedding and towels are provided. Telephone, DVD-Player and WIFI for your laptop are available. Each flat has access to the garden with its own garden furniture and barbeque grill. A play area with plenty of playground equipment, including a large trampoline, is adjacent. More toys, a ping-pong table and free bikes for adults and children are provided in the Old Blacksmith’s shop. Furthermore, we offer a service for fresh rolls and beverages. Location and surroundings of object
Oberscheidweiler is a small, cozy village in the beautiful Volcanic Eifel between Trier and Koblenz. There are lots of attractions in the area: lovely hiking trails through the Eifel’s green nature, passing the maar lakes on the “Eifelsteig” (Eifel-Trail) or on the “2-Bäche-Pfad” (Trail of two Creeks), one of the 14 trails through the Volcanic Eifel, which starts right in front of your flat. The castles of Manderscheid and Cochem, the Eltz castle, the maar lake museum, the “Vulkanhaus-Strohn” and its 120 ton lavabomb, several mineral springs, swimming pools, the look-out tower “Vulcano-Infoplattform”, the Eifel bell-foundry, summer tobogganing, three large animal- and amusemet parks, a school museum with the “Parcours der Sinne” (Course of the Senses), monasteries “Himmerod and Machern”, a goat cheese manufacture, a manufacture for candles and wax, Bad-Bertrich and its “Glaubersalztherme” (Sodium Sulphate Thermal Springs). Visit the mineral water bottling plant at Daun or the brewery at Bitburg. Three kilometres away there is the Maare-Mosel bike trail. A mountain bike trail passes through your holiday resort. It is 35 km to the Nürburg race track, 75 km to Koblenz, to the “Deutsches Eck”, 70 km to Luxembourg and there is much more…
It is only a few minutes’ drive to the beautiful river Mosel(le) and its towns of Trier, Bernkastel-Kues and Cochem, from where you can take a cruise along the lovely vineyards. Our region also offers many geocaching spots located near our flats. Have a great time in the Eifel-Mosel-Region!
