Description
The Löwe holiday home has 2 apartments for a total of 13 people. Flat 1 is for max. 6 persons and has on the ground floor a large living room, a very well equipped sparate kitchen with hatch, a double room and a bathroom with shower. On the ground floor there are 2 more double rooms and a bathroom/shower. Flat 2 is located in the attic with sloping ceilings and has a living room with a small kitchen open to the living room, a bedroom with a double and two single beds, a bedroom with 3 single beds and a bathroom with shower. The two flats can be rented together but also separately. The owners live in the house and personally look after the well-being of the holiday guests.

The Löwe holiday home is located in the valley of the Wilde Weißeritz, Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district, 4 km from Hermsdorf and 12 km from Altenberg. It has a beautiful, quiet location on the slope of the 739 m high Kahlen Höhe on the edge of Syde and is surrounded by meadows. The surrounding area of Altenberg with its magnificent and varied natural landscape has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2019. You can explore the surroundings on an extensive network of hiking trails. In Hernsdorf there is an outdoor swimming pool, in Altenberg a bathing lake, the Raubennest bathing landscape, a summer toboggan run and other leisure activities for young and old. In winter, several downhill runs, over 60 km of groomed cross-country trails, toboggan runs, horse-drawn sleighs and much more await you.

Short vacation over New Year's Eve
The hostess was very nice and friendly. She could always provide sufficient information. We had booked both apartments. Unfortunately, the weather was not the best, but despite the bad weather, there were enough games to have a good time together. There was no more snow to engage in any winter sports. There was even a small heated room to dry our shoes. We were also given a grill, as described in the offer. The host even wanted to provide us with charcoal and lighter fluid (which we already had). Most of the time, the 8 of us spent time in the lower area, eating and playing games together. There was also ample kitchenware, cutlery, etc. available, and nobody had any complaints about cleanliness. The upper apartment had a comfortable sofa corner. It would be nice if the lower apartment had one too. The quiet surroundings allowed each of us to relax properly. Since we brought a lot of food with us, the long distance to the shops was not a problem. However, there are no restaurants within walking distance, so one or two people had to stay sober. Many hiking trails are well signposted and there were plenty of hiking maps available, so it is definitely best suited for hikers. We definitely liked it.
