Description
The 4.5 room house is ideal for families with children. Generous entrance area on the upper floor with wardrobe. Here is the living area with open fireplace, a comfortable seating area and a large dining table. Through the large sliding doors you reach the balcony, which is equipped with a table and comfortable lounge furniture and offers a wonderful view. The separate, modern kitchen is fully equipped. A double bedroom with an en suite bathroom with bathtub / WC, where the transparent glass-tile windows provide plenty of light. From the bathroom you reach the furnished patio. Another bathroom with shower / WC is also located on this floor.
On the lower floor (ground floor) there is another bedroom with two single beds and in the hall area a pull-out sofa bed, and another bathroom with shower / WC. Both bedrooms have a direct exit to the pool area. There is a garden table, deck chairs and a barbecue available. Here you can enjoy the sunny days on the terrace and refresh yourself in the private pool or with the garden shower. Below the property is a small garden with pergola available. There is space for two cars in the private car park with plant roofing.
The holiday home is located in the idyllic village of Contra above Tenero. Ideal starting point for many activities. In the village next to the church there is a small shop for daily needs, as well as restaurants and grottis in the vicinity. In just 15 minutes by car you reach the towns of Locarno and Ascona with many attractive restaurants and many shops. By bus Contra is also easily accessible. Regular bus connections lead to Tenero.

The holiday home is located in the idyllic village of Contra above Tenero. Ideal starting point for many activities. In just 15 minutes by car you reach the towns of Locarno and Ascona with many attractive restaurants and many shops. By bus Contra is also easily accessible. Regular bus connections lead to Tenero.
The village Tenero is situated direct on the lake Maggiore and has a special attraction: the tranquility of the lake surrounded by mountains, the beaches with white sand and the surrounding area with its vineyards creating an exciting but for all that relaxing atmosphere that leaves no visitor unmoved.
The area has also an artistic and cultural side you can discover. It is a perfect starting point for trips or comfortable biking tours on the Magadino plain.
The Galleria Matasci with the museum of wine and the oratorio from Fraccia in Tenero are lovely to visit. One of the most popular place of interests are the “Bolle di Magadino”, a transition from water and land in the estuary of the river Ticino and Verzasca.
The region Tenero offers al type of events which brings much variety on your stay, to name just a few: exhibitions, markets, festivals, wine festivals, wine tasting, village festivals, country, jazz, folk music and classical music concerts, vintage car meeting for cars and motorcycles, the Commercial Fair.
North of Tenero is the Val Verzasca, this valley is certainly one of the most famous in Ticino. A beautiful wild mountain valley which the clear water of the Verzasca River has dug. Very popular in summer are the laps abraded shore rocks swimming spots. In autumn, you can take beautiful walks along the river.
Tenero-Verzasca has an extensive network of hiking trails of around 300 km, which leaves nothing to be desired: from relaxing walks along the lakefront, sports courses or theme trails to high mountain tours with breathtaking views, to quicken the heart of any mountain walker.
If you like playing sports if you like to stay outside; you find in the region a wide range of interesting possibilities. Tenero has a public beach directly on the lake and a swimming pool where you can have fun in the water or can sunbathe on the lawn.
Bellinzona is the capital city of Ticino and it is less than 10 km away. There are three castle you can visit, they belong to UNESCO. Those castle show us until today, how much important was Bellinzona in the past. There are many boutiques, specialist shops offering culinary delicacies and cafés that invite you to stroll and linger. A visit to the historic center is recommended especially on Saturday morning, when the popular weekly market takes place with many food specialties of Ticino.

We were at Casa Lucciola for the second time. Simply great, everything was perfect, and the food at Lungolago in Locarno or cooking at home. The view from the house is unique. Thanks to the team at Fewotessin. We are coming back, already booked for September 2023.
