Great holiday home right behind the dike. The house is very nicely furnished, the kitchen has everything you need. Sauna, TV with German channels, a small sandbox in the garden with sand toys, grill, storage option for bicycles, everything is available that you need for a relaxing vacation.

Eric, the landlord, is very friendly and explains the house in detail, provides information about restaurants and the surrounding area.

The location is great, about 80m to the beach. We were at the vacation home for the 2nd time and enjoyed our stay very much.

A house with an exceptionally warm landlord

It really lacked nothing: The equipment was complete – we absolutely had everything we needed in the household – everything was very clean and lovingly furnished. However, we would especially like to highlight the landlord. From the moment of booking, he consistently took care of us with great kindness. We received personal greetings at Christmas and Easter, a gesture that is rarely experienced today. During our stay, he even sent us great excursion tips via email and WhatsApp, which we found particularly helpful and attentive. We can highly recommend the house and the rental. We felt very comfortable in Eric's holiday home.
The very nice and caring landlord personally welcomed us and provided us with excellent informational materials about the house and the area.
During a walk together, he showed us the beach and the facility.

The furnishings are cozy, very well equipped, and clean.

The garden is private and has various spots, so you can find a shaded or sunny place at any time of the day. Especially pleasant is the spot under the chestnut tree, which was just blooming.
Whether grill, games, boules, badminton games, sandbox... everything is available.

We had a wonderful holiday week and we can recommend the house and the host 100%.

Wonderful week in Wemeldinge

From the very first moment at Eric's vacation home, we felt very welcome. The warm greeting, including a gift, the detailed information beforehand, the very good communication, everything could not have been better. The very good and cozy furnishings make the stay perfect. The kitchen really has everything you need for cooking. We rarely experienced a vacation house with such a good and clean kitchen. Every glass, etc. I could use it without rinsing beforehand (and I am very particular).
In the garden, you can find a seat in the sun or shade at any time of day.
The house is located directly behind the dike, and even outside the bathing season, you can walk, cycle, or hike very well on the path.
In a short driving time, you can reach interesting places.
The market in Goes on Saturday and Tuesday is worth it, and those who love seafood must definitely go to Yerseke.
We also used the pétanque court around the corner. The suitable balls are also available in the shed. A minor downside is the bathrooms, which are functional but not at a modern level. A walk-in shower instead of a bathtub next to the bedroom would be nice. That way, one wouldn’t have to go up the quite steep stairs to shower. But that's just by the way. Otherwise, we (an older couple) can absolutely recommend the house and may rent it again ourselves when the opportunity arises.

Perfect place for relaxing days: great amenities and a warm host in a beautiful location.

Unfortunately, the time was much too short, but we really enjoyed it. The host is fantastic. We received many useful pieces of information even before our trip. On-site, we were shown everything in the house and even took a short walk together to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped; nothing was missing. We of course also used the sauna. It was really great after a tiring excursion. All in all, the accommodation is highly recommended! We will probably come back soon, but for a longer stay. A nice house with a beautiful, private terrace in a well-maintained complex directly by the water. The surroundings are pleasant, and Middelburg, Veere, and other towns are quickly accessible. Outstanding

We spent a week in the holiday home and were very satisfied. Everything is as described. The kitchen has everything available, from children's cutlery to wine glasses. The bedroom on the upper floor has blackout blinds, which is perfect for small children. The bathroom on the upper floor has a washing machine and a sauna, which we, however, did not use due to the good weather. The terrace is amazing, very well-maintained, and invites you to have a barbecue. A grill with all necessary utensils is also available. In the shed, there are many toys for children; our son was thrilled. The sandpit in the garden also brought excitement. Bicycles can be parked in the shed. The landlord Eric was super friendly and helpful. He provided tips about the area, dining, and explained everything about the house. The location is great; just walk over the dike and you are at the beach. The house and garden are well-maintained; everything is very clean. We can wholeheartedly recommend the holiday home. It was a wonderful week. We can definitely recommend this holiday home and we would love to come back!

A very nice holiday house

We spent a wonderful week in this house with 4 adults. It is very clean, well-equipped, and lovingly furnished. The beds were not too soft. In the garden, there are various seating areas, so we had a spot depending on our need for sun or shade. The garden is not visible from the paths due to the bushes and trees! The house is directly behind the dike. A few steps and we were at the beach! The SUP was exciting and provided a lot of fun. Directly from the house, you can cycle in various directions. The many pieces of information from the landlord beforehand and during the personal greeting upon arrival ensure a vacation from the very first minute! This is how we envision accommodation.

Great holiday apartment and superb hosts

We had a wonderful time in Mr. Speckens' cozy holiday home. The house leaves nothing to be desired, has a comfortable sauna, a beautiful garden, and is top equipped. You can easily reach the beautiful beaches, for example in Oostkapelle, by car, and Wemeldinge itself is a sweet little town. The charming cities of Middelburg and Goes are worth a visit; here you can get delicious herring and eel at the market. We enjoyed oysters and mussels in the nearby mussel village Yerseke – a dream. There is also a small but fine museum that offers a quiz for children which we highly recommend. In the harbor basin, just a 10-minute walk from the house, we were able to watch dolphins in the evening. Mr. Speckens is the best host I have ever met, and I have rented many vacation accommodations. He is very friendly and concerned about his guests' well-being. Thank you, Eric, for your hospitality and an accommodation that leaves nothing to be desired! We will definitely come back!

We have stayed at Haus Speckens several times and can only recommend it. The high standard has always been maintained and everything is always in top condition.
If you don't want to be in the thick of the busiest season, Wemmeldinge is the right place despite its great location.
The house is not ideal for travelers with limited mobility due to the steep stairs.
Conclusion: always a pleasure to return.

A fantastic holiday home near the Oosterschelde, superbly furnished and a very hospitable host.

We were all personally welcomed by Erik, who showed us around the house and the furnishings in detail. We prepared our Christmas dinner in the house during the Christmas days. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped. The sauna works excellently, although the space is limited to a maximum of two people. The house is atmospheric and comfortable. The weather wasn't great, but we spent the stormy days and rainy days enjoying games and catching up. We still managed to visit Goes, Vlissingen, Middelburg, and Zierikzee between the showers. The New Year's Eve was chilly, but nonetheless there was enthusiastic fireworks. On New Year's Day we watched the New Year's dive. We've been lazy, walked along the beach and through Wemeldinge, and ended our vacation with a wonderful dinner at Bar Casco. A number of small points of attention were immediately addressed by Erik after our departure. Highly recommended this vacation home.

Holiday home

We were here for the second time. We are excited about the kitchen equipment. Cozy in the living room with cushions and books and warming blankets. TV up to date, including Netflix. Bedroom clean, good mattress. Too thick pillow. Garden furniture in various places, cushions available. Garden shed for our bikes and parking next to the house for the car. But the best part: Up the dike, down the other side, and you can jump into the sea 1 minute later.

We were able to spend 2 wonderful weeks in Wemeldinge. The house has a great location - quiet in the holiday park & directly behind the dike is the village beach. The place is a good starting point for many activities in Zeeland - especially with the bicycle. Eric is a great and very friendly host. He already gives many tips before the vacation. Great vacation

We had a really great vacation with our 2 girls in this wonderful holiday home. Everything was super clean, well equipped and well maintained. Great house, great location!

We spent a week in a truly wonderfully located and equipped house. There is nothing missing there! In the park, there are 2 small playgrounds that we happily used. The path to the beach is very short and you can smell the sea in the garden :-) Eric is always available and helps with all questions and wishes. A host who gives everything for his guests! Cities like Goes, Middelburg, and Bruges can be easily reached by car (15 minutes - 60 minutes) and are really worth it! All in all, a great vacation!

The house and the garden are in excellent condition. The furnishings can almost be described as luxurious - definitely very affordable. Particularly noteworthy is the sauna. The shed next to the house is well suited for storing bicycles, among other things. We liked the compact oven so much that we have now ordered one for our own home. Last but not least, the extremely friendly and helpful landlord should be mentioned. He provides his guests with a lot of useful information even before the trip. Upon arrival, there is a comprehensive introduction to everything worth knowing, and he is always available during the stay. It will not have been our last stay.

Very beautiful, well-kept house in a quiet location

We spent our vacation again in Eric's beautiful house. It is a lovely property with a well-maintained garden, which we could still fully enjoy in September. The house is equipped with everything you need. From the induction stove, coffee machine, radio and CD player, to the television; everything is available. A parking space is available at the house as well as a storage room in the outbuilding, where various outdoor items such as a Weber grill and play equipment are stored. Bicycles can also be easily stored here.
The house is located very quietly directly behind the dam. It is only a maximum of 1 minute to the water.
The area is ideal for visiting the surrounding beautiful villages and towns, taking pleasant walks on the beach, swimming in the sea, and of course, cycling. Eric is a very accommodating host and always approachable, even for good insider tips. We had a very good, nice contact. We felt very comfortable and it was another wonderful holiday. We can highly recommend the house and would love to come back!

The location is a dream, just over the dike and you're at the sea. At low tide, there is a beautiful, small and uncrowded beach, and at high tide, you can swim well from a staircase into the sea. One can walk and cycle well in the area. The Dorpstraat of Wemeldinge is like something from a picture book. The place is not overcrowded and rather quiet. You can simply relax there, even despite Corona. We liked it so much that we immediately booked again.

We were allowed to spend 2 weeks in the beautiful, perfectly equipped holiday home. Dream location and lots of tranquility

We were able to spend a very relaxing holiday. The house is well equipped with everything, including bed linen, sauna towels, and dish towels. The kitchen lacks nothing. The furnishings are very tasteful and well-maintained, as is the garden. Our teenage boys enjoyed the stand-up paddleboard very much. The unique feature is the direct location on the dike and beach, allowing for multiple beach visits and walks on the dike throughout the day. Furthermore, bicycle trips in the nearby and further surroundings are highly recommended. The village of Wemeldinge with its marina, windmills, and beautiful city center is easily accessible on foot. We found the tranquility very soothing. Despite the diverse opportunities, the holiday destination is not crowded like some other places. The excellent support provided by the landlord deserves special mention, as he even arranged train tickets for us to go to The Hague (also highly recommended). We will definitely come back.

Great host, lots of tips, and always reachable. The house is lovingly designed. If something is missing, Eric takes care of it immediately. Due to the great weather, we couldn't use the sauna, but that will definitely be made up for. The beach is only a 2-minute walk away. The tide is not so extreme, and you can swim at any time. First vacation in Holland

Our first vacation in Holland was great. With Eric, our landlord, we had excellent communication even before the vacation, as it was not easy due to Corona. Eric kept us informed the whole time before the vacation about regulations and restrictions. The welcome was very warm, and we felt comfortable right away. The whole house was perfectly furnished, nothing was missing. The distance to the sea was sensational, the restaurants and shops in the town are worth a visit. Wunderschönen Urlaub

We were guests at Eric's beautiful place in Wemeldinge at the end of April and had a wonderful holiday. The house is super chic with everything one could desire. We did not lack anything, even a cozy sauna is there, and the garden is very well-maintained and perfect to use with children. Eric is a very likable and attentive host whom you can approach at any time. He has a lot of information material about the surroundings so that the holiday becomes an experience. The house is about one/two minutes' walk from the sea, so you can also experience that every day.

We stayed at Eric's holiday home over the New Year's 2018/19 for a week. The house, especially the kitchen, was very well equipped, so that we, two befriended couples, could cook ourselves well every day. The house was very clean and comfortably furnished. There were candles, table runners, different sets, as well as appealing glasses, which we especially appreciated during this time of year to create a cozy atmosphere, as in our own home. Eric is a very attentive landlord. He gave us many tips for activities during the week. It was all around good. We will recommend the house further.

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt

A thoroughly successful stay! We rented the vacation home for a 5-day stay. On the day of arrival, we were greeted at the house by the very friendly and accommodating landlord Eric, who took a lot of time for us and our questions. The house lacked nothing! Everything we needed for our stay in the house was available. We can also wholeheartedly recommend the in-house sauna. The house is about 70 meters from the sea and very easy to reach via the dyke. There are plenty of shopping and leisure opportunities in Wemeldinge and the surrounding area. The nearest larger city (Gous) is about 20 minutes away and is definitely worth a visit. Eric also took the time for us on the day of departure, which we found very pleasant. The region and especially the house are definitely worth a visit!

Just relaxed!

We spent 2 weeks in August with two children in the house and it was simply great. We almost had the beach to ourselves and the children (5 and 7) moved freely between the garden, beach, and playground. The beach is very suitable for small children with water shoes. You can jog, ride a bike, and inline skate wonderfully on the dike. The cleanliness and facilities are excellent. We also enjoyed the sauna while the children were allowed to watch Netflix. For parents the perfect relaxation! The internet is very fast. Eric Speckens provided us with a lot of information and supported us superbly with questions. Everything was great and we would be happy to return!

Summer vacation/Family

We spent two weeks in this beautiful holiday home with a large garden located in Wemeldinge, a perfect starting point for trips in all directions. The house is right behind the dike and in 5 minutes, you are directly at a small sandy beach on the Oosterschelde. It has a large living and kitchen area with very good equipment. Absolutely nothing was missing! The two bedrooms with bathroom/shower (including sauna) were also absolutely clean! A separate toilet on the ground floor and a small storage room on the upper floor completed the rooms in the house. Furthermore, there is a variety of accessories for the garden and beach, such as a very nice grill, in an annex of the house. Various loungers and garden chairs with cushions were part of the garden inventory. In this beautiful house with a garden, everyone truly gets their money's worth, whether they are seeking relaxation, sports enthusiasts, or shopping fans. Eric, the landlord, is truly wonderful! We had a very relaxing holiday in Wemeldinge with superb weather. The children were particularly happy about the enclosed garden and the short walk to the beach. Besides the great location, it's the many details that make this holiday home so pleasant: e.g., Weber grill, fly screens, sun umbrella, surfboard, excellent kitchen equipment, and much more. Good shopping options at JUMBO in Goes. There is a lot to discover in the area. In less than an hour's drive, you can reach Rotterdam or Antwerp. In the vicinity, trips to places such as Vlissingen, Middelburg, Neeltje Jan, Zierikzee, and Goes are worthwhile. Many thanks to Eric for the excellent assistance from booking to departure!

Great house with a beautiful garden in close proximity to the beach

Eric's house is as beautiful as in the photos. The household is perfectly equipped, we lacked nothing. The large garden is beautiful. The sandbox with digging toys and the many outdoor toys (boules, Velcro ball, jump ropes, ...) brought great joy to our son. The immediate proximity to the beach is great, you just have to cross the dike and you're there. The well-stocked supermarket in the village is also quickly accessible, it's about a 10-minute walk away. Arrive and feel at home...

Eric's holiday home is super cozy, top equipped, very clean, and brilliantly located. The garden offers the opportunity to have breakfast outside in the morning, to sunbathe, or to seek shade, and to watch birds. . . We had great summer weather in May :-) and therefore didn't spend much time driving on excursion trips, but there are attractive places in the nearby and further surroundings. You are right by the sea via the dike and feel like you are in the south at appropriate temperatures. We were lucky enough to see dolphins twice, which was very impressive. You can easily explore the area on foot for sightseeing or shopping. The town itself also has charming cafes and restaurants. You can cycle around endlessly and always find great photo opportunities. Inside the house, there are countless tips for activities, and in bad weather, available games, the sauna, or the super-sized TV (with Netflix) help pass the time. We immediately felt at home and one week was actually almost too short. For the next time in Zeeland, we already know exactly where we want to stay again :-) "Thank you very much, Eric! The holiday home is very nice. You don't miss anything. Everything is available in the kitchen (oven, microwave, dishes, dish towels, and more). Everything is very clean. A grill is also available on site. We were very lucky with the weather. On the days when it wasn't so nice, we got in the car and explored the nearby places (Domburg, Goes, Middelburg). A trip to Belgium (Bruges) is also recommended. Wemeldinge is very suitable for bike tours or simply walking along the dike, jogging, or flying kites on the beach. Mr. Speckens, the landlord, is very nice and helpful and always has tips on what to do locally. We would come back anytime!

Beautiful stormy autumn holidays!

We spent a week in this very beautiful and tastefully decorated house during the autumn holidays with four people (2 adults and 2 teenagers). The contact with the landlord was uncomplicated and very friendly from the first contact until the departure. Immediately after booking, we received emails with links for holiday planning. In the house itself, there is a wealth of information material and, of course, Eric's personal tips! The house corresponds exactly to the description on the internet, it is very bright and open. The terrace and garden are well maintained. The house lacks nothing, the kitchen is superbly equipped with oven/microwave/grill combination unit, induction cooker, dishwasher, kettle, two coffee machines (regular and Senseo), toaster, dishes, etc., and the rest of the house also leaves nothing to be desired. The surroundings and the town of Wemeldinge are very beautiful, the sea and the harbor can be reached on foot or by bike in no time. In Wemeldinge, there is also a very good baker and a small Spar market. The restaurants are all within easy walking distance as well. One in particular to mention is "Bobby's," a restaurant with the atmosphere of an English pub and excellent food. All in all, we were very satisfied with the house and the support from the landlord and can gladly recommend the house. Thank you very much Eric!!!

Lived hospitality

Despite the very changeable weather, we felt very comfortable in our holiday home from the beginning. This was due both to the genuine hospitality of our host with all the help, information, and tips, as well as to the lovingly equipped house. Toller Herbsturlaub

We found this house very last minute and spent 1 week there with our 2 children. The contact with the landlord before booking and during our stay was direct, uncomplicated, and very friendly. The house is very well-equipped and comfortable, and well-maintained, so we felt very comfortable there even in rainy weather. The proximity to the dyke and beach was ideal with the children, as even in October and in any weather, shells are to be found. while perhaps a warming meal is already being prepared. Speaking of food: If you ever don't feel like cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen, we highly recommend the Casco restaurant just around the corner. We can wholeheartedly agree with Eric's recommendation! We also made use of the sauna - wonderful for warming up after an afternoon in the wind and drizzle, and to spend the rest of the day/evening playing board games at the large dining table. Overall, we were very satisfied with the accommodation and the care provided by the landlord and are already looking forward to the next vacation. where we might explore a bit more of the area or fire up the barbecue on the terrace. Super holiday home! Excellent equipment. Super garden with plenty of garden furniture. The kitchen equipment with oven and dishwasher, as well as all necessary utensils for cooking, is also fantastic! The Wi-Fi is very fast, and surfing there is a lot of fun. The location right next to the beach is fantastic, and you can easily go for a quick swim in just your swimwear.
