The holiday apartment is located on the top floor of an impressive brick house, which is beautifully surrounded by natural rock. It offers accommodation for 2-3 people. The house itself is situated in a cul-de-sac at the end of Osterhagen, more precisely: An der Heerstraße 5. In good weather you can have breakfast outside in front of the house, practically in the front garden! Don’t worry, the street is extremely quiet, as there are only four other houses in the immediate vicinity. Plastic table and chairs can be found behind the veranda. For those who enjoy cycling, at least 4 bicycles with three-speed gears are available.

The busy federal road is far enough from the accommodation not to disturb you with its noise. Unfortunately, there is no longer a grocery store in the village itself. The nearest shopping facilities are in Bad Sachsa or Barbis.
Via the federal road you can also reach Nordhausen or from there to Erfurt (distance from Osterhagen: approx. 70 km). Very close by, in Scharzfeld, are the Unicorn Cave as well as the Scharzfels castle ruins with a restaurant. The Wiesenbecker Ponds in Bad Lauterberg are also a good destination for an excursion, which you can reach on foot directly from the holiday apartment. Just a few hundred meters behind the garden, at the edge of the forest (about 20 minutes on foot), you will come across the well-known Karst Hiking Trail, which leads you to Bad Lauterberg, to Steina, or to Bad Sachsa. The small village of Osterhagen lies between Bad Lauterberg and Bad Sachsa, that is, between two well-known and popular spa towns. Both are each only about 5 kilometers from Osterhagen, so our holiday guests can take advantage of a variety of leisure activities, such as a wave pool in Bad Lauterberg, forest swimming pools, mini golf, etc. At the same time, the proximity of these two spa towns means that there is a range of restaurants of every taste, as well as beautiful shopping streets and a variety of sights or excursion destinations. In addition, Osterhagen is directly or indirectly connected by transport to the Eastern Harz and the Upper Harz. For example, a very idyllic road leads via Bad Lauterberg to St. Andreasberg and via the Sonnenberg directly to Goslar, the old imperial city. You can find out more at

Hello! Our grandfather built this house in the 1930s, and until our grandmother's death it was the regular meeting place for all family members, no matter how far away they lived by then. Even today, we—the grandchildren of the builder, the Grün siblings—still like to spend a few weeks there each year and use the apartments ourselves (which is why the occupancy calendar always looks so empty ;). If you spend your vacation there, (almost) the entire house is at your disposal. We want you to feel comfortable and not miss anything – so that you can fully concentrate on the beauties of the Southern Harz.
