At Steinbach See Lodges, you are on the "sunny side of life," because thanks to the southern orientation and the large balconies, you can enjoy the sun all day long. The view of the nearby Steinbach reservoir and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park speaks for itself. You step out the front door and can start hiking in nature immediately.
For those who seek something special and want to vacation in Germany with all amenities, Steinbach See Lodges are the right place. The lodges are located between Edelsteinland and Mosel, right next to the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.
The Hunsrück area around the lodges is a region in Germany that bears similarities to Canada. For example, the forests in the national park are often wild and pristine, and the fresh, healthy air is a blessing. Well-maintained hiking trails, relaxed driving on the "Hunsrück Highways", friendly and open-minded people – the region around the Steinbach See Lodges is waiting to be discovered by you. The facilities of the Steinbach See Lodges are almost unique for a holiday home in Germany, featuring a sauna, whirlpool, library, 2 balconies (57m²), Canadian stove with 7m natural stone fireplace, underground parking, top-equipped kitchen with island cooktop, high-quality furniture, ping-pong table, and much more.
In the design, construction, and furnishing of the Steinbach See Lodges, great importance was placed on light-filled rooms and a pleasant room layout. Additionally, it was ensured that most of the rooms have views of the lake and the national park. Both lodges are, by the way, almost identical in construction and equipped with equal high quality.
The 2.5-story lodges are located on a plot of land approximately 1000 m² in size and are log homes made of spruce wood, which comes directly from the Hunsrück. On 110m² of living space (plus balcony and garage), there are two bedrooms, a bathroom with sauna, a large open living-dining-kitchen area, a library, and a storage room. The lodges also have a small balcony in the attic and a large balcony on the ground floor with a Hotspring Premium whirlpool. This is equipped with hydro-massage jets for back, neck, shoulders, and feet, and features a modern lighting system. All three lodges are equipped with a heat pump heating system. In the cold season, the fireplace in the living room can be used as an additional source of heat.
The beds in both bedrooms are fitted with high-quality, back-friendly box spring mattresses, which are covered with a hygienic mattress protector. All beds are made with fresh linens upon your arrival. In one of the bedrooms, there is also a securely mounted safe for your valuables, the code for which you can set yourself. As an additional sleeping option, the couch in the library can be used (each for two people). The sofa beds can be converted into sleeping beds with an integrated mattress. Each lodge also contains a portable crib and a high chair.
In the 22 square meter basement, there is a garage. Next to it, there is an open but covered carport.

Arrival can take place from 3 PM and the departure time is until 10 AM. Of course, you can also arrive a day later or leave the house a day earlier by arrangement – however, the prices do not change in such cases. Look forward to an unforgettable stay!

The Steinbach See Lodges are located in the village of Langweiler, which the locals like to call the "Pearl of the Hochwald" because of its good location and the view of the Steinbach Reservoir and National Park
In the village you get what most holidaymakers are looking for: Peace and relaxation. Langweiler is a village in the "all's right with the world here" category. There is a beer garden in the courtyard of a former monastery, four playgrounds, a football pitch and top hiking trails - for example, the European long-distance hiking trail and the Saar-Hunsrück Climb pass through Langweiler. You can start many hikes directly in the village. Due to the altitude of over 500 metres, snow is often to be expected in Langweiler, even in winter.
The transport links and location are excellent, and in just a few minutes you can be in places like Morbach, Idar-Oberstein, the Erbeskopf winter sports area, the National Park or on the Hunsrück-Höhenstraße, which has been converted into a motorway. Some of the surrounding villages are also within easy walking distance. Since the transport network in the Hunsrück is well developed and the roads are in excellent condition (and the traffic is very relaxed), you really do have many excursion destinations "right on your doorstep"
Particularly worth mentioning is the excellent tourist offer of the region, top hiking trails start directly at the lodges, the Steinbach reservoir is only 1 km away as the crow flies, the National Park is only 4 km away, to the gemstone and garrison town of Idar-Oberstein with the famous rock church, Oberstein Castle it is a quarter of an hour drive, to the Moselle to Bernkastel-Kues it is about 30 minutes, to the Bostalsee with its wide range of leisure activities it is 35 minutes. Various mining tunnels and castle ruins are waiting to be discovered. Numerous restaurants and cafés in the area offer a wide range of choices, from breakfast to extensive evening meals.
More than 20 museums in the central area of the Steinbach See Lodges are waiting to be discovered. Cyclists and mountain bikers get their money's worth on special cycle paths and bike parks, and a trolley tour on a former railway line is very popular. Children have lots of fun in the animal parks at the riding stables and playgrounds: A special experience for the kids are the gemstone mines, on gemstone digging fields children can dig for gemstones
Trier is only 50 minutes away, Koblenz, the Upper Middle Rhine Valley with the Loreley as well as to Mainz, the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate, are only a good hour away. Luxembourg with its famous "Müllerthal" and France are only 75 minutes away.
The location of the Steinbach See Lodges promises a more than varied holiday. And should the weather actually be bad, the bad-weather concept ensures wonderful days, because there are over 30 different activities you can do in case of rain.

The rental price already includes the use of firewood and water (carbonated Steinbachseewater).
The prices are based on a maximum occupancy of 4 persons, the price for each additional adult person is 15 €/day (maximum occupancy 6 persons). For babies there is an additional cot available.
The flat rate for cleaning is 130,- € regardless of the length of stay.
