Great holiday apartment for relaxation and spending time together

Our group (family reunion 8 adults and 3 children) really enjoyed the stay. The apartment is very cozy and the kitchen is super well equipped for so many people. We found the phone-free time very positive, as everyone took the time for themselves, for conversations, and of course for the children. The children had a lot of fun in the garden with the go-kart/balance bike, etc. The surrounding area with the Hunsrück nature park offers a good range of excursions. A tip for future guests: Some mobile phone models turn on (even though they are completely off) when plugged in and also turn on automatically when unplugged. Therefore, it's best to leave the phone in the car for a radiation-free house. Thank you to the Herber family for the wonderful days.

We spent a beautiful short vacation in the cat tree. Ideal for relaxing and feeling good. Hiking trails for smaller or larger tours right outside the front door. The cottage has everything you need during a vacation. It is wonderfully quiet on an unseen, completely fenced plot. Communication with the hostess is very friendly and uncomplicated. We will definitely come back.

The Climate in Hunsrück

Located in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hunsrück is in the westerly wind zone, which gives the low mountain range a fairly mild, suboceanic climate. Winters here are mild and summers relatively cool. The ridge and the neighboring Baumholder highlands act as a weather divide, shielding the lower Nahe wine region from the predominantly west and northwest precipitation. On the weather side and the southwest slopes, average annual precipitation reaches 1200 mm. The lee side in the Nahetal records between 550 and 1100 mm of precipitation per year. Average temperatures vary between 7 and 10 °C depending on the altitude. The months of December and January see the most precipitation, mainly in the form of snow. If you book your vacation house in winter, you can enjoy a beautiful skiing holiday here. The slopes of Erbeskopf are great for skiing in the powder snow.
