Description
The holiday flat offers 90 m² of living space for up to four people. In addition to the living room with TV and open kitchen, you will find a bedroom with a double bed and TV, a separate sleeping area with sofa bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The flat is wheelchair accessible and has direct access to the lift. The modern furnishings are as good as new in all rooms and offer you everything you need for a relaxing holiday at the Baltic Sea.
The holiday flat has two large balconies. From one of the balconies you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Baltic Sea, from the other balcony the view of the promenade of the Baltic seaside resort
From May to September, a beach chair is already booked for your entire holiday and is available to you free of charge
A parking space is available directly behind the house on the railing of the apartment complex
If the weather should not cooperate, you can use the wellness area in the basement of the house with infrared cabin, sauna, steam sauna, heat bench and fitness room.
Free Wi-Fi is also available in the entire flat. There is also a bicycle rental service in the house. Outside the main season, we have arranged special conditions for our guests.

Location and surroundings of object
The flat is located on the 3rd floor (attic) of the former Hotel Mönchgut, which is situated directly on the beautiful promenade of the Baltic seaside resort Baabe.
The proximity to the beach of 150 m distinguishes your accommodation in a special way. Directly at the feet of the domicile you will find numerous bars and restaurants and the cabaret Lachmöwe. On the beach there are various possibilities to enjoy snacks, drinks and food. Shopping facilities for daily needs are within walking distance, as is the bakery
The Baltic resort of Baabe is located in the south-east of the island of Rügen on the Mönchgut peninsula and has one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Extensive beach walks to the neighbouring Baltic Sea resorts of Göhren and Sellin are recommended
Baabe was first mentioned in a document in 1252 and consisted of only a few houses and farms until the middle of the 19th century. The development of tourism did not take place until around 1910/20. While modern buildings dominate the image of the village on the seaside side, Baabe's old architecture from earlier times can be found on the Bodden side. These episodes of history also benefit the culinary diversity of the village. You can find both classic fish restaurants run by local fishermen, who still take their barges out to sea every morning, and international cuisine in the Baltic resort of Baabe.
In the town's romantic Bodden harbour, excursions are offered to the historic island of Vilm, among other places. Anglers can also catch pike and zander here. The Moritzdorf ferry, one of the smallest ferries in Germany, has been transporting people across the Baab Bek by muscle power since 1891.
In terms of infrastructure, the entire Mönchgut peninsula is very well developed. Only a stone's throw from the flat, the historic narrow-gauge railway "Rasender Roland" pulls into the station of the village. The train runs on the island and is therefore perfect for day trips. With a spa card, you can also use the bus and the baths railway in Göhren, Sellin and Baabe free of charge. The island is also easy to explore by bike thanks to the well-developed cycle paths.
In the region you will also find nationally known attractions such as the Ozeaneum in Stralsund, the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek and the former KdF bath "the Colossus of Prora".

Great vacation apartment
We really liked this beautiful and very tastefully furnished vacation rental. We also loved the large bathroom and of course the two balconies. Maybe 1-2 fly screens would be a good addition. A little more care should be taken in cleaning the apartment (including the balcony). We will definitely recommend this vacation rental.

Holiday at the coast
First, the nice things:
The vacation rental is very tastefully and lovingly furnished. . .
As usual, the beach chair was available to us in the front row - perfect for the holiday season - I wouldn't want to miss that.
The vacation rental is in a prime location and has 2 balconies - which could be used well depending on the wind direction. . .
Now the negative:
Unfortunately, the furniture - especially the beds - has seen better days. The beds squeak with every movement, the mattresses are worn-out - after many attempts and testing, we were able to finalize the distribution of sleeping places - but that is also called an interim solution and not intended as such. . . Quite a pity. . . The cleanliness has also significantly decreased - the cleaning company's cleaning supplies were still lying around in the bathroom, and the cabinets had to be vacuumed by us before they could be used. . . Overall showing its age - only the location makes it perfect...
